Yeah, it's sad that she's stuck in that role, but it doesn't keep me from being annoyed everytime I hear her name. I certainly hope she'll get out of that soon and do something interesting. Not like burn a building or shave her head interesting, but just something good and worthwhile.

Sanzoskitsune I hate Hannah Montana but at the same time I feel bad for her cause well... Disney is selling the image of Hannah Montana not the actual girl Miley Cyrus, so she's basically stuck playing a character.
Not really. I know she had at least one CD that had both a Hannah Montana side and then a Miley Cyrus as herself side. I've also heard of her performing on different shows and the like as herself, no wig or anything, on more than one occasion.

Disney channel shows are only allowed to last for a certain amount of episodes before they're automatically canceled. Hannah Montana can't last forever.

I certainly hope it doesn't last forever. I don't know though. They're making awfully good money off of her. They're going to try and hang onto her awhile longer.
I just don't remember there being any tween idol stars like Miley and Hillary when I was young. Or was I just oblivious?

I guess I don't really notice it. The only time I've ever been like "damn...Hannah Montana is everywhere!" was on Halloween when my friend and I stopped by the mall and there were a ton of little girls dressed as her running around trick-or-treating there. But even then, I'd only be upset with that kind of thing if I thought Hannah Montana was a bad figure for little girls to be looking to. As far as I know, she's not...so why care?

We were stuck with Hanson, and a younger Brittany Spears and Christina Aguilera. Oh, and other boy bands like Backstreet Boys and N'Sync. None of them did that whole "let's have a singing career AND act" though. That appears to be a more recent craze.

*raises eyebrow at Tsuji* I hear enough about how 'hot' Emma, Miley, and Hilary are. I have a 16 year old brother. *gag*
For the most part, Miley does seem to be a decent role model for little girls, though there was that whole uproar over that pic of her practically naked and wraped only in a sheet for a photoshoot. It's just irritating because they hype her WAY too much. Even if you don't have young girls in your house, you still get sick of hearing about her because they're constantly advertising her all the time.
