Probably not. Unless those hours put you over 40 hours for the week.
I don't remember if they did or not, but she went and looked at hte computer JUST to see if she could put me to work? Even though I wanted to go home and sleep since I worked until 11 the night before, didnt' get home until nearly midnight, and couldnt' fall sleep until after two.
crying I hate work...and I may be getting ANOTHER job soon.
I remember my first real job....it was a love/hate relationship with it. It was a place called the Brown Convention Center as part of the concession stands...it was fun! I learned how to make foods along side the chefs (one chef taught my friend and I how to make gourmet chicken quesadillas - they came out soooo bloody good! LOL) .Mind you I was 14 years old back then and no one was to know that I was working there plus getting paid below minimum whatever that was back then! LOL
But I had fun....my hours consisted of pure weekends of hell, but sometimes quite enjoyable. The hours went something like this:
Fridays after school, started at about 5 p.m didn't get out until 3 a.m. That included putting the stands together and breaking them.
Saturdays were usually from 6 or 8 a.m. until 5 or 6 p.m. (maybe even until midnight) depending how were with the co-workers...they figured I was snot-nosed kid and could use the money (I really didn't need to, I just wanted to work with my best friend!

Sudays went usually like from 11 a.m. until almost always 6 to 7 p.m. It was cool.
I would sometimes worked during school nights, but for like four hours or so....it was mostly fun. Exhausting, but fun.
I understand about the whole unbearable work atmosphere...that happened after I turned freakin' 23 years old and depressed. Dude, I was a manager at a pizza place that had me working from opening to close and not get paid overtime (nor did the man wanted to pay me for the taxes he would take out.....
stressed ). I worked like a dog, made the best damn pizzas in my town, and got s**t for it. At least where I work at now it's pretty cool. I've there 6 years at the company I'm at. It has it's up and downs as well.
NOW my goal is to get my teaching degree so's I can stalk Master Stream and Mister Lunainverse during my vaca time....LOL
