Wow, its a wonder I don't have an ulcer with the amount of stress I'm under anymore. Just lost my day off tomorrow as somebody quit at work, and I was the only driver not working already on that day.

My job is sending me on a business trip Sunday Night, all Monday, and Tuesday during the day... I'll try to get on each night, if possible.

I was just a mess. Of course, rumor is the guy is coming back, but that is being fought (apparently) . . .
Mostly I am just growing more and more frazzled. So many things stressing me out. crying

I sometimes feel that I am always bitching, and that is not fair to others. In fact, I am rather stubborn and do not give out my problems lightly or quickly- at least not all of them.
that said, today was actually really good. For the first time in 14 years, I have had a car pass inspection without problem. I mean, no repairs, no nothing. It was a shock, but in a good way. I've been driving without inspection for about a week now. That is a good boon. Additionally, I got a letter written about work. The mess with that guy is actually being done surprisingly well. We all had to sign non-discrimination/non-harassment papers, and write out statements. It makes sense, and is a great and appropriate response. So, got that written, and the guy is not coming back.
Then I got to hang out with friends (old and new), and RPed tabletop for a few hours today. It was gloriously fun. We played a mix of fantasy (swords and sorcery type) and Steampunk . . . it worked quite well, actually.

Of course, as there is a fine line between venting and complaining, though you're in no danger of going too far.

there was hours upon hours of inappropriate humor, flirting, and BSing under the pretense of pretending to be strangers and getting in fights. It was truly a blast beyond description.
I'm glad that you don't mind my whining. Sometimes I feel like that is all I do. sweatdrop

So, apparently when my job sends me away for training (as they did earlier this week), they still expect me to get in 40 normal work hours on top of it. They claim to offer solid work/life balance and support your professional development; I say let them put their money where their mouth is, b/c that is a anything but.[/rant]
I'm glad you had a good time, b/c RPing is a very good venting/relied mechanism (and you need a break with all of your recent problems).

Yeah, little did I know that that claim was relative to the norm for the industry, which is constant out-of-town traveling. This makes their claim effectively null and void. And this company gets such high praise across the board, too, but I guess that shows what I value isn't what others value. Ah, well, I'll stick with this for a while to see how my pay increases at new year (I'm currently being paid half of what I could get elsewhere). Anyway, sorry to complain...

neutral Really? You are going to apologize for complaining after all the whining I've put in your direction? *gently bops you on the top of your head* You are more than welcome to unload your issues here, you know.
I can appreciate that lies in the business world (we care, family values, etc) led you astray. As for your pay, I'd actually bring that up and say that you are not getting even close to what you deserve, and let the bosses know that you are not leaving, but you not only CAN get better, you SHOULD.
