I've been doing some measuring and thinking, with a small amount of cutting and drilling it should be very easy to magnetize the wings and weapon mounts of the Valkyrie.

I thought about magnetizing, but I decided against it, part because I'm impatient and part ineptitude. I don't want to damage a perfectly good model with bad conversion or modification work.

You just need to calm down and stop worrying about the damages and just love the kit. /obscure reference
idea Oh and be sure to take notes and fit things before you commit the saw and clippers to something.

Well, I made the plunge just now and decided to order a Vulture conversion kit along with punisher cannons and spare fuel tanks.
As a plus the conversion kit will net me a spare Valkyrie crew compartment. Excellent conversion fodder for a later Valkyrie purchase.

You could turn it into a bunker, or a piece of wreckage.

Maybe a wreck that serves as an ad-hoc command centre or fancy objective marker.

Straken looks awesome, the tank is a let-down though.

Yeah...the Straken model is fantastic. He looks so much more pissed off now than he used to. The tanks...eh. I like the barrel for the Plasma Leman.

Straken is great, though personally I'd trim off the shotgun magazine.

After looking at it some more I'd say that the Russ turret would be better if moved a little more to the rear.

Well lads, I need a bit of advice. I'm updating my Krieg list with some fresh models in a couple of weeks and can't decide exactly what I want to get. Mainly I'm thinking infantry, since I've only one platoon of them, but make up for that with an equal number of veterans and storm troopers. I've already got a super heavy for Apoc games (the Mach) and three arty pieces are good for now. I was thinking of grabbing some fresh Russes to bolster my current one as well. I've thought of the Valks too, anyone try 'em out yet? I've heard nice things about them in the blogosphere, but haven't heard enough to convince me. If you want to see my armylist to help it along, I can throw that out too. Though I have yet to completely update it to fifth edition... I should get on that...

Especially for regular games.
