"Until death do you part." A sarcastic voice behind the two remarked. Khalid crossed his arms over his chest, narrowing his eyes. "I see how it is now. After Vadin gave Ryou that little burst of energy, Ryou decided to keep out of life, except for the good parts. Just ignore all of the pain, isn't that right?" Khalid was getting angry; his wings flared out behind him, a cold expression came over his face. "You believe that you had dealed with so much in your life, why was it fair that you should continue to have more pain? You are a coward, Ryou. Unable to face the truth, even." He locked his furious gaze with Ryou's, until the boy wavered and lowered his head submissively.

kira glared angerly at khalid "shut the hell up.It is normal human behavior not to want to be in pain!if you know somthing is going to hurt youavoid it!its common sence!its like you dont stick your hand in fire cause you know it will burn!Ryous not a coward!he's smart!he knows what will hurt and is avioding it.It is what humans do."

"But to completely shut out all pain?" Khalid asked, arching an eyebrow. "Sure, common sense is used. If he was braver, awake and in his own body, he would be careful. Not messing with Bakura or Vadin would be the equivalent to not sticking his head in the fire. But there is little point in even living if he does not truly live!" Khalid snapped his teeth together. "He has flirted with death, and now refuses to accept the consequences he is apt to receive for clinging to life! And what a life it would be, locked up in his soul room, shrinking away when anything too dangerous comes too near."

Khalid's expression changed into a smugger, mocking look. "Aw, can't I even talk to him? I wasn't allowed the chance, seeing as he was a vegetable most of the time." He grinned slightly. "After all we mean to each other and all."

Ryou looked uncomfortable at having to make a decision, and squirmed a little. "I guess--" He started to say softly, but was cut off by Khalid.
"Alone, if you don't mind." Khalid said in a falsely polite tone, glancing meaningfully at Kira.
Ryou looked from Kira to Khalid, then sighed, shrugging slightly. "Yes, alone..." He agreed faintly.

As soon as Kira was out of sight, Khalid pinned Ryou's shoulders to the couch, his eyes glinting fiercely. Ryou made a small sound of protest, unable to do much more, but any further noises were cut off as Khalid kissed the numbed boy deeply. Khalid was able to wait patiently as Ryou tried to draw back, then slowly melted into the kiss. Drawing away, Khalid couldn't help but smirk, glad to see that his and Vadin's little agreement had held through. While Ryou had been stuck within Vadin's mind, he had changed some things around so that Ryou would come to love Khalid. It had been quite hard, with Vadin not being able to see Khalid, and Khalid not being able to leave Kira. But since Vadin was a demon, and Khalid an angel, they were on slightly level areas, so a mind connection didn't blind Vadin, as it had to Kira. There was pain for the two of them, but the message had gotten through.

Ryou felt his resistance fading away. Instead, a deep lust rose up, despite what he knew of Khalid. He felt bad, of course, but couldn't stop himself. He started to allow himself to give in entirely, Khalid locking him with another kiss, while taking off his shirt, when a single thought passed through his head. Kira. He had nearly forgotten, oddly enough. He cried out weakly, then winced after he did that. A mistake, he had made a mistake.

Kira was of corse there within a few seconds.Grabbing khalid by the neck she threw him far away from ryou fire burning in her eyes.
