I go away and my poor mc dies crying

Now I didn't go to Montreal, yet...... think we're leaving for Friday. But on Saturday I went to the Providnce at Worchester game. It was a pretty good game, I'm not a fan of Worchester but whocares!

For Dean's sake:

Henderson vs. Ramsay

Ramsay seemed to throw a pretty nice check at Henderson or slashed him because Henderson challenged Ramsay. Ramsay turns away. Henderson starts to face wash him from behind and bullying. A linesman gets in between and both are very heated at this point. Henderson drops his stick at this point and Ramsay clings to his like there's no tomorrow (not really!) and manages to unleash a brutal baseball swing slash on Henderson. Ramsay had to lean so he wouldn't hit the linesman in between them. This definitely gave a Henderson a reason to drop his gloves and just skated around the linesman to get Ramsay. Ramsay was still unsure if he should drop his gloves, but he had no choice. The clung and fell... I'd say a DRAW! Ramsay got a game misconduct for the slash I believe.

Leach vs. DJ King (One of my favorite fighters!)

Henderson and King were lined up on a face off in the Worcester zone. They were yapping and Henderson seemed to be skating backwards to square off, but he ended up taking a one time slapshot. Even after he took the shot, King came after him and Henderson still seemed willing. Before King got to him, Leach intervened gloves off at first, but they both ended up dropping them so it was even. King was the only one throwing at the beginning with lefts. He landed a few good ones, and got Leach bent over at one point feeding him some uppercuts. Surprisingly, Leach rebounded with at least one right cross to King which connected. I remember being surprised at that one because I thought Leach was just going to hang on for dear life after the position he was in earlier. King won the fight, but Leach did well to come back a little and show some fight in him. As King was getting the upperhand at the beginning, Henderson (he must have been feeling guilty for starting it and having Leach finish it for him) looked like he was going to willingly be 3rd man in just to end it for Leach and break it up. One of the linesmen stopped him before he could do anything deserving a game misconduct, but he got a 10 minute misconduct for attemtping to. I think Leach intervened because of the substantial size difference between King and Henderson, which is a good team-mate thing to do I thought. He had two or three long scratches on the right side of his face afterwards. So it was a Win for King, against a solid tough player but one who will never be looking for to be Heavyweight Champ.


Man I love to post my views of the fights in the AHL! Oh and Dean, Brendan Walsh played, but was pretty uneffective. At least two Worchester goals were scored when he was playing, one has a result of a turnover by him.
