((Current? I"m not sure Kaname was originally an ancestor of the Kuran family and ended up taking over the body of Yuki's actual older brother when he was resurected by Rido Kuran. ...And lately in the manga he's kind of turned into a serial killer of all the high ranking vampires...
He's got a lot of special abilities like blowing things up with his mind....And he can control all other vampires...))
