"I had to go years without you." Seto murmured, tucking Ayira's pale hair behind her ear. He hoped he wouldn't start crying again. That would be positively unmanly of him. "I suppose it was harsh to you for me to have lost my memory though." He added, as an after thought. "It had to be done, though. I knew I wouldn't be able to go on much longer with you gone when there had to be a solution out there somewhere."

"I didn't know that..." Seto said, his voice soft. He wanted to kiss her and hold her tighter, but was afraid to hurt her. "I don't know why Mariku's back. Bakura... told me a little bit about what happened. What did he do to you?" Bakura had been purposefully vague about Ayira's injuries.

Ayira looked down. It was a painful memory "He..He raped me...Said if i screamed he'd split my tougne..." shestuck out her tougne to show that it had been sewen back togther.

Seto tensed, his muscles absolutely rigid. Though his eyes had a deathly cold look in their blue depths, he managed to speak in fairly normal tones. "I'm sorry that was done to you. I should have been there to..." He broke off. This was his fault. He didn't know what he had been doing at the time, but it had to have been his fault. "I won't let him near you again."

Ayira was quiet and just nuzzled into his head. She hated having the memories rush threw her mind agian. it broughther to tears.

Seto seemed to realize that this had distressed Ayira greatly. He put one trembling finger underneath her chin and tilted her head up so she could look at him. "I'm sorry for bringing it up." He said in a quiet, apologetic voice. He hated to have emotionally hurt Ayira just as much as he would have hated to physically hurt her. "He is my priest, and an example has to be set for the others!" Atem was snarling as he strode along the hallway, on his way to his bedroom. Mainly to the adjoining bathing room. Bakura had followed him at an equally rapid pace, and the two were arguing violently. Bakura grabbed at Atem's arm and the pharaoh whirled around, a flush of anger darkening his face. "If word gets around, as I'm sure it already has, then it would be known that I did not punish Seto for what he did! They will think I've gotten weak! Just imagine what would happen if the entire population of Egypt tried to do black magic? Kul Elna would happen all over again!" Bakura flinched, as though physically hurt from this sharp reminder of the past. "Nothing of the sort would happen." He growled, his voice lower than Atem's shouts of rage. Even though the pharaoh was louder, Bakura's tone held an even deeper tone of fury. He noticed that they were outside of Rei's door, but was in too much of a temper to really register this fact. "But what Seto did was an act of either pure goodness or pure selfishness. Either way, you have to make an exception for him. Crack down harder on the people if you have to, to remind them of your control, I don't care. All I know is that if you try to punish that priest for what he did, you will be the one to pay in the end."

Soon they could hear the crying of children from inside the room. The door flung open and soon atem was pinned to the wall by his neck a furious rei giving him a death glare. She could be just as scary and strong as bakura when mad. "I swear if you ever EVER wake my children up agian after it took so long to get them to sleep I will make sure you Never. Speak. Agian!" rei said putting force behind the last three words. shoting an angery glance at bakura she walked in and slamed the door behind her.
Ayira gently cuped his cheak "I forgive you" ayira said giving him a small kiss.

Bakura was instantly calmed by Rei's appearance, but blinked in alarm when he found himself briefly glared at by her. He decided not to comment on it, but knew he would have to apologize. But first... Atem had been still leaning against the wall, in shock, at the abrupt, violent appearance of Rei. Bakura moved over to Atem and punched him powerfully across the jaw, with such a force that Atem fell to the ground. Bakura would never consider kicking a man when he was down, not even the pharaoh. He glanced at the door that Rei had slammed shut, and decided that it might be better for him to let her calm down and get the children calm before reentering. He turned on his heel and left, striding down the hallway with no intentions of going anywhere in particular. Atem swore softly and brought a hand up to his face. His jaw was beginning to feel swollen and tender already, and he knew it would have a large bruise on it before long. He tasted blood, but luckily it didn't seem to be broken. He got up to his feet, and continued on his way to his bedroom. Small, delicate hands quickly caught a hold of his arm. Letting out a slightly muffled exclamation of surprise, he turned and was relieved to see that it wasn't Bakura or Rei who had taken a hold of him. The female servant gasped in surprise and let go quickly. He knew this woman; she had acted as his concubine quite a few times in the past. Her name was Kebi (honey) and she had large, brown, melting eyes that Atem found quite attractive. "It must be shameful to watch your pharaoh so humiliated." He said casually, as though she were a normal person, instead of a servant. Nobody else was around, which was probably the reason why this normally shy servant had dared touch him. Kebi shook her head violently, making her black hair practically slap herself in the face. "No, my pharaoh." She murmured, looking fearfully around. "It was not you who was disgraced. It was the thief, and his wife. It is awful to see a man so beneath his wife. She should not have been so loud." Atem laughed softly, and the servant blushed, wondering if she had said something wrong. "You must be tired, my pharaoh. May I help wash you? That is where you are going, no? I can help with your chin." She boldly lifted one hand, touching the already darkening bruise. Atem caught Kabi's hand in his and kissed her fingertips. "I would like that very much, Kabi." It was one of the few times he implored her name. "Here, come with me. I won't be using the bath chamber in my room." He said this, because he knew that Nanu would still be in the room. He had plans for Kabi, but didn't dare make them public until he had the details finished. The servant smiled coyly and followed him. "There is so much I want to say to you." Seto said through her kiss. He pulled away gently. "I don't even know where to start. Hopefully I'll have the rest of our lives to be with you, though."

Rei sat on the bed rocking her crying children. They dident like to be startled awake"shh shh" she said trying to calm them. She herself was exsautedbut she refused to sleep when she was alone. She would wait for bakura. She felt much safer with him.
Ayira smiled "We still have to get married...' she told him. "No inturpitans this time..."

Bakura had gone outside to take his mind off certain things. He knew that Rei was protective of their children, and didn't blame her for getting so angry. He just hoped that most of her anger had been directed at Atem, not him. It wouldn't be long before he would go and rejoin her, but honestly, he wanted to wait until the children would stop crying. "Hopefully not." Seto agreed, "I'd sweep you off your feet and drag you off into the most isolate place in the desert to get married if that's what was needed for no interruptions." He would, too, if that was what it took.

It dident take long for the children to stop crying. they just nuzzled her close.

Bakura got up to leave when he heard something a little to his left. He tensed, trying to see what it was. As far as he could tell, nothing was there. He shrugged, but had a cold feeling. He didn't care about possible arguments, he knew he had to hurry to get to Rei. Something bad was going to happen. It didn't take long for him to retrace his steps and get to the room she was in. He opened and closed the door quickly, slipping inside with haste. He was utterly relieved to see that she and the children were okay. So much, in fact, that he couldn't speak. What was wrong with him? He usually didn't pay attention to 'bad feelings' he had. There hadn't even been enough time for anything bad to happen. "I'm sorry." He said quickly, to Rei. "I was angry with the pharaoh. I should've asked him to keep his voice down. Is everything okay here?" Seto shook his head. "You're just helplessly in love with me, aren't you?" He mocked softly, running a hand through her hair. "I wouldn't blame you. I'm rather attractive and cunning. Not to mention rich."

Rei smiled softly "It'sok. Everythings good. I got them to calm down." The children looked up sleeply sucking there thumbs
