There is only a single phrase composed of two words that could possibly describe how amazing the Monsters' Ball is; paws up.

Something bizarre happened to me yesterday. I've lost cell phones in the past by dropping it down a flight of unfinished stairs and having it fall out of my pocket to only submerge itself in water. Those were years ago.
The other day my cell phone stopped responding. I took it apart and put it back together trying to get it to work but it seemed to give me a six minute period of use where it would work. Made one phone before it frizted out on me and decided to go black screen randomly. Basically the key pad wouldn't respond to any button but the small circle moving around the main screen. Even then I couldn't select anything. Though It would ring and makes sounds of receiving messages.
Sense there is no signs of damaged (The battery isn't leaking and there is no water damage. There is no logical reason you can see for it not to work other than technical. And even then I'm guessing.) I'm getting a new one for free. It'll take me until the end of next week to receive it if it moves as slowly as they suggested. Who knows.
I found a phone that I lost the charger to and have tried bringing it to life with a usb cord. Using my computer as a charger. The only thing that did was keep my comp up to have people try to message me about why i had no phone. THe lil phone has no faceplate and will not hold a charge for more than ten minutes.
So yay? New free phone! I don't know whether to be amused at the fact that I'm getting the same phone for free even without a warranty that costs around 400 retail and I can't downgrade from that to a cheaper phone. Makes since but in my eyes I'm half tempted to say, "Wouldn't you make money from that?"

Cell companies don't make money from phones, they make money from the plans/services.

I am now officially taking fertility medicine, plus they gave me a medication that's *usually* used to treat type two diabetes, but it apparently also can help in this sort of situation too. (weird huh?) Wish us luck!

After reading his prospectus, that crazy gunman at the Discovery Channel HQ sounds frighteningly like Deffie K.

Brian said the same thing when we were reading it. I think his exact words were "Did DeffieK write this?"

Blargle gargle, these past few months have not been good to me.
Well, technically, this past year and a half hasn't been that particularly good to me, but you know it's bad when you miss the Swimsuit Contest when you're usually one of the first to submit a piece.
The last interview I had was for one of the local Gamestops (there are at 5 within a 10 mile radius where I live) and that was back during the summer. I am holding out hope, however, that they'll call me back by the end of September/early October, since they were interviewing for the Season.
I'm just praying my Curse hasn't affected them as well.
Tried to put in an application for the local B. Dalton last year.
What happens? They announce they're closing 2 months after I hand in an app in person.
Tried to put in for Barnes & Noble after that.
Another closing within a few months after I fill out an application.
It's like the Curse just doesn't want me to be happy and/or productive (seeing as they aren't mutually exclusive...).
And the worst of all this?
Since I haven't been eligable for Unemployment for months, I haven't gotten any comics since...Julyish? I miss Power Girl. And Fables. And Jack of Fables. And Thor. And Prince of Power. And...and...and more I can't remember.
crying
Sorry, just...needed to vent.
And prove I'm still alive.

Next week from the 16th to the 26th, I'll be in Istanbul, Turkey for a conference. 10 days is the longest trip I've taken and I'm pretty nervous about being gone that long in a country THAT far away. The furthest I've been from home is Edinburgh, Scotland.
Due to illness from one of the people in our group, my grandmother is going with us. She's 76 and travels well, and she's been to Istanbul before, which makes me less nervous.
At least it did, till she started telling stories about how sick the food made her. gonk
