*An explosion erupts amid the Brood and insectoid bodies fly everywhere. A very pissed off Powell emerges in his heavy assault armor. He opens up on the creatures surrounding him.*
Uh, forget the rescue mission. Make sure none of those things get in the stadium!

::Wally stood stock still on the field as panicked people ran one way, and the alien Brood advanced on them. It was like a sea of people parted around him as he stood alone, facing towards the advancing army.::

*As Student began to change Dani armored herself with the Witchblade.*
"Iris! Get Behind me."
*Iris yelped in surprise as people all over where changing.*
"Behind you? They are everywhere!"
*Dani, created several tentacles to whip away people near them.*
"Okay okay! Stay close."

Outside of the stadium, the Brood tear at the ground and begin digging down into the terrain...
And inside of the stadium, the ground explodes and several warriors of this alien race begin pouring inside! These were no mindless creatures! This was a highly intelligent and advanced alien race! Fierce and feared across the cosmos, to fight the Brood meant either there was no other choice...or one had a death wish!
A green haired girl from HH, nicknamed Vertigo, pushed and shoved, trying to get away as fast as she could when a she lurched forward, a stinger jetting from her chest!
She screamed as she was lifted into the air by a Brood warrior! It screamed and grabbed her and pulled...
And the student's torn remains were flung into the stands as panic ensued!

Iris waves her arms in a circle creating a cyclone effect picking up several of the aliens and sending them flying she then heads to field right next to Wally.
" Ready to lay the smackdown?!"

Emma shifts to her diamond form and jumps from the stands and several of the teachers take to the field and they begin fighting the bugs as more begin to flood inside, as others of the alien race are battling outside of the walls as well!
Emma clobbers one bug as two more pounce on her from behind!
Namor is in the air, battling several of the flying Brood who try to snatch several children from the grounds!
Agatha Harkness conjures a protective shield around many of the citizens and children as Daimon watches her back, battling the aliens with Hellfire!
Even the less than reputable adults, such as Mystique, are fighting! Say what you will about her actions but even she does not wish to see children killed!
Shiva has all of her weapons at hand and is also fighting fr her life!

Cassie lassoed about three of them electricuting them and tossing them towards others in the army... Nightwing used his ninja like reflexes and smoke bombs but nothing seemed to spook the alien menace.
"There's too many of them"
"Their like cockaroaches.."

::Lisa, James and Evan are in the main campus area, running over to Special Services.::
"I'm telling ye, we should split!"
"Nah, we gotta get Hart."
::James grinned at Evan.::
"I haven't told him my best knock-knock jokes yet!"
"OH. MY. GOD. Shut up you two! "
::Lisa jumps out of the way just as a broodling leaps out of a nearby tree and gnashes it's teeth at her. Evan pulls out his pocket mirror and shines it on the creature. The creature vanishes. He holds up the mirror, showing them the Brood trapped inside.::
"Hope that doesn't happen often. I'll be runnin' out of mirrors soon."
::He drops it on the ground, shattering it and the Brood inside into a million pieces.::

...AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!
*A large storm swirls over the field and a crack of thunder sounds. A huge lightning strike sends Brood warriors scurrying and herald the arrival of Thor!*

*A Quinjet appears overhead and Avengers descend upon the conflict. Iron Man, Wonder Man, Janet Van Dyne, and Henry Pym!*

A Brood warrior flies down and snatches a screaming Blindfold up and starts to take off when a flash of blue light strikes it and the bug careens from the sky, dropping the girl! Billy runs out with his arms held out to catch her and ...
WHOMP!
He catches her and goes right down to the ground as well!
"Ow! Are you....?"
Billy's eyes widen as a Brood soldier rears up over him and Blindfold, preparing to lunge!

Diana stepped in next to Nightwing and Wondergirl. She to was giving the insects a run for their money.
" Diana we need more help....WE NEED HIM BACK!"
Diana smirked.
"Athena hear my plea! Send Achilles back to us!"
In a crash of lighting in the distance the noble and strong Achilles appeared and while Cassie wanted to rejoice and welcome her brother back she kind of had her hands full at the moment.

Outside the east entrance...
*The Brood had stopped trying to sting Chris as they realized his armor was inorganic and ill suited to hose their eggs. This really didn't much to him as he mowed down the insectoids as fast as they came at him. He knew that hundreds more were getting past him and he worried for Cassie but without knowing where she was, looking for her would be useless.*

One particularly large Brood warrior loomed up and over Cassandra and was ready to pounce...when a spear jetted from the sky and pierced the intergalactic beast, sending it crashing to the ground!
A loud bellow is heard from above and many an eye, including that of the Brood, look up into the sky and yes, there was Achilles on the back of Mysia...but he did not come alone! The sky was flooded with winged lions carrying male warriors from Thalarion, and winged horses carrying the Amazons of Themyscira, led by Hipppolyta herself!
Achilles shouts, "Send these infestations of Tartarus back to the Abyss!!"
And now the sides were evened and the war raged!

Iris saw how none of the alien beasts seemed to even come close to her father. She didn't know why but she knew that she would have to ask him later... Iris picked up a bunch of rocks and started throwing them at the insect thingys.. at hypersonic speeds.
