I'm just wondering, because I was almost raped at the beginning of the year, and then yesterday, a boy who used to want to date me followed me out to my car {at night, in a deserted parking lot} and tried to kiss me for about half an hour. Apparently "no" means nothing...and now I'm scared. I've been keeping a baseball bat under my bed. And...well, I trust and like you guys...and I want help...

Yikes! Must've been a horrible experience. I'm sorry to hear that, Inu. sad It's nice that you're taking safety precautions now though. It helps to have some pepper spray or maybe a small knife in hand in these dangerous times.

Indeed, I wish we were allowed to carry pepper spray in this country. Some basic self defense training might help you too. I'm sorry, Inu =[ If you ever need support, we're here...

I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through that. I'm glad to hear that you are taking steps to protect yourself.
Make sure that when it is someone you know that is trying it that you are forceful with your no, because there are some guys out there that won't take a soft no because they will think you are "playing hard to get". Remeber that is all in their head. Be forceful with the now and remove yourself from the situation as fast as you can. Don't try to be kind to them, they are trying to rape you, if you have to offend them or hurt them to leave do it.
As for people you don't know, walk in groups late at night if possible, but if you are alone, walk like you have a purpose with long confident strides. If you are standing tall and confident random attackers will be less likely to strick because you look like you could put up a fight.
Please buy some pepperspray if you can.

and now thanks to Bapp's video I have a sudden urge to go to Osaka to get some p***s.

I agree with Fel, always look like you know exactly where you are going and what you are doing. I've been doing it for a few years now, and nobody ever messes with somebody with that stride.
And if possible, take a self-defense or martial arts course, it can only do good, right?
Same with the pepperspray, get it if you can.
And when all else fails, groinshots still work.

See, that's the thing! I knew both of them really well. And I actually did kick the one in the groin--the one who actually tried to rape me. He came back and tried again. IN MY OWN HOUSE. He came over to watch Boy Meets World--we were like, uber close--and then just out of nowhere. I gave him no encouragement. I should have known he would try something when he kept trying to peak up my skirt, but I thought that he was just kidding with that...I STILL haven't told my parents...
I can throw a punch and defend myself, but it just unnerves me. Maybe all I can inspire in a man is lust...

I normally try to instill fear or intimidate people who annoy or follow me. However, like i've said before. I ALWAYS seem to get hit on at the mall. -_- so damn annoying. Hot topic girls REALLY are bad with it.

You'd be risking losing a limb then lol. Kumo is very protective ^.^; the one time a girl hit on me in front of her was well......scary.

Martial arts is awesome. You should learn it.
I'm a martial arts junkie, even though I'm officially only learning one so far.
You don't even need to go to class to learn it though. It's not the skills you learn from martial arts. It's the theory.
Once you know how to apply the flow of power and weight and stuff, you can use it for any move you want.
I don't learn martial arts to learn how to do cool flying kicks (although they are fun to use, yes)
But the basics in any kind of conflict is this:
You have to always keep calm if you want to win.
Same applies to your situation, Inu.
He knows what he wants and he knows how you're probably going to react, so panicking and randomly throwing punches or pushing him away is not going to work.
In that kind of situation, you have to keep calm and think of the best possible way of getting out of it.
Against all men, kicks to the groin is always effective, but we'll always guard it on reflex, so you can't always rely on it.
To get out of a grip around your wrist, don't try to pull away, but pull it inwards towards to chest to break out.
You can ask someone to practise this with you.
Most people panic and try to pull away but that just brings their assaulter nearer to them.
I think I might make a few short comics on how to get out of situations like this.
I've tried it on several of my friends and they work (just light contact sparring though)
Although I haven't really been in a fight where I went all out.
And for some reason no one wants to pick a fight with me...
You can tell me how he comes at you and I can tell you how to react and give him a thorough a**-whooping (it'll fail if you hold back so you'll have to do it with full intent to hurt) twisted

03o i'll pick a fight with you...but you'll have to let me use something I'VE practiced in. Kendo, Archery, or guns (i'd use paintballs obviously) take your pick 03o. I've only learned the basic martial arts, like how to punch and kick, which was intermingled with kendo soo....yeah.

Oh, I could beat Kendo with my bare hands biggrin . I can't run fast enough to catch up with a guy shooting from afar, but if you're threatening me with a gun upfront I could disarm you before you can shoot.

well I wouldn't stand right against you in either case you'd be at least a sword tip away (if your lucky) or for a gun at least 5 feet.
it'd be hard pressed either way ^.~ don't think you'd have it too easy.
