People will be having a conversation, and then with no warning he'll just show up out of some door. Usually right at the perfect time to make someone say "I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!"

...or something. The one time I actually expected him (being a scene where the often-intruded-upon character was doing internal monologue while sitting in front of a clearly visible door) he never showed. Thus proving that no one expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Since it's an active fight, it's not going to count against you for the 'lose 10 points for an inactive month', considering there's actually fighting being done.

I had to wipe about half a dozen people off the list entirely just now. Doesn't make me happy to do that. Including one person who had enough to actually lose the full 10 points.

It's easy to keep them once you get them. Just make sure you've picked a fight with someone once a month. Even with FiAW in full swing there's only been one complete fight so far. Two more on their way but they haven't finished yet.

Considering adding an 'extenuating circumstances' clause to it for people with connectivity issues.

Considering so far we've only had 1 person attain actual RANK... we're probably going to tone down our expected numbers for HoH. Originally we'd made some estimates and talked of a system based around that. We'll probably end up much more lenient than that in the end.

Regardless. Properly done you can go from zero to C rank in 4 fights against an unranked. Less if done during FiAW. At worst you'd get 1 point per fight for losing, but then it's just 20 fights to get rank. Something that shouldn't be that hard considering most of a year was given to do it.
