Iris heard her father tell the coach he wanted to play and while she wasn't to fond of the idea she wanted to show her support for him. She's near the front yelling to Coach Cage.
" Co'mon coach! Let West play! "

::By the end of the first quarter, Hero High is down by three points. Coach Cage throws his clipboard, shattering it as Coach Mario gives the Nintendo High quarterback, Samus Aran a high five.::
"DAMMIT! All right. I'm desperate here. West! You're in!"
::Wally takes of his sunglasses, his eyes closed, and puts on a helmet. Julian leads him into the field, and the Hero High team gets into position for the second quarter...::

*Dani sits next to Iris in the game, She was so gad she finally found her. Even better was Wally was alright an in the game as well. She's have the thank Chris and Cassie for that soon enough. If only she knew where they were.*
"I'm Sorry for the Other day, Iris. I didn't mean to frighten you." She patted the young girls hand. "I know it looks bad between Wally and I now, and I can't say for sure if we'll get back together. All I know is, one day we will. One day he'll forgive me."

::Coach Cage suddenly shouted up at the bleachers::
"If one'a you jive sucka telepaths gets my team penalized, AGAIN, I'm gonna ram my foot so far up your psychic a** that you'll be tastin' leather for lunch!"
::Nate looks around in shock.::
"How the hell did he know?!"
:: On the field, Len Snart passed Wally the ball. The team cleared a path for him and-::
"TOUCHDOWN!!!!!"
::The score was now 3 to 2! Wally hit the crowd barrier on the other side of the end zone and nearly flipped over it from his momentum, but at least the Hero High Titans were on the board...::

The Nintendo team huddles and Ivan frowns.
"Coach Mario, are you okay?"
Mario wipes the sweat from his brow with a hanky and nods.
"Fine boys, you justa go in there and do Mario proud! We won't be a losing this one!"
The team high-fives and turns back to head out to continue to try and put Hero High down, none of them noticing Mario's eyes flash briefly to a golden amber, then back again. He holds his chest and takes some deep breaths, it being slightly hard to catch his breath.
Unknown to anyone else, there were others in the stadium...having the same reaction...

Arms crossed, slunk low in his seat, Virg grumps away the minutes as the rest of the enthustastic crowd enthuses... everywhere. Although clearly a violation of his guaranteed no-sports, no-gym class EVER agreement with Mockingbird, he had been commandeered on the bus with the rest of the Six.
"Razzafrazza only pigskin I want is crispy and fried. Razzarazzagrumprazzgrump."
With Bryan and Victor on the field, Virg had taken a seat next to Eve. Sooraya sat across the stands and Chloe had managed to weasel her way into the press box. All the better to keep them from being identified as a cohesive group. Victor, of course, was the school's star defensive lineman who had gained notoriety after the controversy over whether or not his cybernetic implants were a violaton of league rules.
"BOO-YAH!"
Another sack from Victor, another complaint to the league, most likely.Chloe, of course, was the brains behind the school's most controversial blog - an avenue into the school press for Mockingbird - and was understood to be part of the group in exchange for a sweet internship at the Daily Planet following Hero High.
"You even SMELL like a nerd. What is that, Mountain Dew and Chee-tos?"
Eve was nice, but popular. The perils of being a super-attractive redhead who can make anything into anything she wants. Fun in meetings, brutal in public. Oh, social dynamics.
"Probably. You could make me smell like whatever you want, yanno."
"Whatever, loser."
"Nice."
With a sigh, Virg slumped lower, counting the seconds until the end of the game.

"Whoo Go Wally!"
"Ugh. Why are you cheering for him?" *Two of Wally's old peeps turned form two rows down to snear at Dani.*
"Everyone know you broke up with him." *Shot Cessily Kincaid, a red-haired cheerleader*
"Your such a tramp for the way you treated him!" *Carol Danvers spat with disgust.*
"Poor Wally! I really hope he find some one better then you." *Cessily shook her head sadly.*
"Shut up!" *Dani shot back a lame insult she was never good at that kinda thing.* "You don't know anything about me or Wally, so just shut up and watch the game!"
"Yeah, we better listen to her. Or she'll send her new boyfriend after us."
"Oooh!"
*Dani 'Grr!'ed at the two who then turned their backs on her.* *Dani Crossed her arms in frustration*

Wondergirl was a little upset that she was missing the game for playing guard dog duty..
"Are you sure about this Nightwing..?"
Nightwing was looking out of a pair of binoculars.
"Look..."
Wondergirl looked though the binoculars... swarms of alien bug like creatures were headed towards the stadium from all directions.
"HOLY HERA! IT'S AN ARMY!"
Nightwing got on his communicator.
"Outsiders... their coming! Be on your guard!"

*Chris was running towards the east gate and heard a chittering behind him and turned.*

*He was able to armor up just before the Brood army rolled over him.*
Nightwing, this is Arsenal. The damn bugs just rolled over Wondergirl's boyfriend. Do we engage?

Suddenly...before the next play could be ... well, played ... Coach Mario of Nintendo High lurched forward, in obvious pain, clutching his chest. He fell to his knees and gritted his teeth.
"Coach?" Link said as he approached. "Wh-what's wrong?"
Mario looked up and his face was gruesomely transforming! His eyes became swollen and red...and as he screamed in agony...his jaws extended and sharp teeth descended from the gumline!
It wasn't just him! Other teachers and students, from both schools, began to suffer the same convulsing transformations!
Pikachu! Ayumi Tachibana! Dr. Hector! Hikari!
David Alleyne! Ryan Choi! Bucky Barnes!
Among others, they fell to their hands and knees and before the eyes of the horrified witnesses, each one was being transformed into Brood soldiers, having been infected!
Emma Frost jumps to her feet and shouts, "Get the children out of here! NOW!"
The Brood warriors screeched and the chaos began!

Cassie and Nightwing dived into the thick of if... the alien guts were flying still the two were severally out numbered.
"Aphrodite help us!"
