I just read this article about how Marc Emery joined a band and took up an instrument during his jail time. I don't agree with him being in jail, but it made me really happy to hear that he's found something so uplifting to put his mind to while he's in there. He sounds like he's living a childhood dream or something.

Maybe I could go find a new band. It's been years, but I'm sure if I brush up a bit I can find a local one that needs female backup vocals. Maybe even lead.
I don't really want to sing lead though. Not fond of the spotlight. I'd be happy just songwriting and harmonizing.

If it wasn't Greg, then it was probably someone whose address he'd given out before, judging by how mad his responses seemed. lol If I remember right, before he even gave me the email address he was uncertain if it was still valid. Something about his family switching plans or somesuch. @ Orphie: Troll pimpin' totally. Though I picture them more with a Walmart employee hierarchy, myself.

I'm not sure what I loathe more: the bland, monotonous genre of music known as country or the fans of said music.
I do my best to get away from it, but there are still times where it's forced down my throat, mostly when my stepdad is riding in the car and my MP3 player is out of juice.

So I was watching some show about couples today with my sister. There was a scene that turned into a breakup; the man was being honest, albeit insensitive, and the woman was being... well, a woman. He admitted to cheating because she wouldn't put out and she pulled the "so, what, you wanna be done?" card after he said he didn't feel bad about it. It totally backfired, but she continued to act like it was what she wanted too to save face while he was leaving, and then broke down crying the moment he left.
Mel turns to me and says "what an a*****e, he cares more about his d**k than his commitment" and I reply "what a dumb broad, she cares more about her image than her happiness"
She was quiet for a long time after that. I didn't realize until now that she's been doing the very same thing for a very long time. I dunno how to feel about that. On one hand, I hope I didn't hurt her feelings. On the other, I wonder what she'll choose next time.
