ScarletFrost Ok, I need some help brainstorming. I've come to the conclusion that my last job, as good as it was and as much as I loved it, would have killed my soul. I would have gotten comfortable in the cubical and never ventured into marine biology or veterinary medicine. Full benefits, good wages, and an easy commute would have seduced me into apathy about the things I'm truly passionate about. I was actually scared of that happening when I started the job, so I'm guessing that cosmic forces are at work here. That's how I'm going to look at it anyway. I'm finishing my last class for my degree in English Literature on Sunday, so I'll have the diploma in my hand in a month or two. Technically I've already graduated, so that's what I'm putting on my resume. I'm also a certified Scuba diver (open water only, but more $$ means more certifications!). I can type 75+ wpm and I'm pretty hot with the 10 key. I've got skills in Adobe Illustrator and Gimp. I can edit and proof like nobody's business. I've been swimming since I could craw, sailing since I was 12, and working with various animals all my life. I do NOT want to be a teacher. I'd rather not spend more than 60% of my time behind a desk. I hate jobs that involve office politics, ladder climbing, and other BS. I don't want a night job again because I'm not a night-owl. I'd love a physically active job. So what should I do next? Where would I fit in? Give me some ideas of where to look for employment because I'm feeling really out of my depth right now. xp THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!! biggrin alright, let's see here... honestly, all I can think of is sales. sweatdrop I'm not that educated on jobs involving qualifications....

I hate to say it but I'm considering leaving Gaia. As weird as this might sound, I feel like I'm to old for this--actually I feel like I'm greeting drowned out by whiny little kids.

I hear you....
When I started work, I find I don't really have time for this...
When I get time off, I don't normally feel like checking in.
The only reason I am here today, is because I am in front of the computer waiting for the business day to start so I can call my insurance...
A tree fell on my truck and totaled it during some storms last night, and now I am stuck again.

Hey guys, I didn't fall off the face of the earth. emotion_awesome I've just been really busy as of late; between work, family, Street Fighter, Minecraft, and making this really awesome Dan Hibiki costume, I haven't had time for Gaia.
I barely check this site anymore anyway. I'm not gonna actually leave Gaia (I've sunk too much money into it, and I like using the avatar function to create characters) but don't expect to see me around too often.
It's been fun. Love y'all.

Wow...all these RP's that were so important and diverting two months ago are just...not...anymore. razz
I'm not gone yet! biggrin I'm just enjoying some booze and recovering after a long Monday.
Oh!!! And we're going to be moving in the next 3 months. We're giving up the apartment managing thing and my husband is going to work. My work actually. Because my boss HIRED ME BACK and is now bent on making me a one-woman marketing department. Crazy, right? The only thing crazier is that he's also bent on hiring my husband full time to be the studio photographer and sales rep.
So we're looking for a new place and we're trying to find a babysitter/tutor for my daughter because we're not putting her in public school. There are a few good schools in the areas we're looking at, but SoCal has such a violent culture that I'm not comfortable sending her to school here.
Oh, and I'm going to boot camp next month as my birthday gift to me so I can get my sexy pre-baby body back. And so I can shed some pounds before baby #2.

We're too busy to even practice the art at the moment. redface Plus I'm still in school and I probably will be for the next 7 years if things go right. but anything can happen and just loosing the weight now before I'm 30 will make future baby-making much easier and healthier.
