When Pen got to the edge of the graveyard she heard the vampire start to wake. She sighed and leaned him up on the side of a mausoleum as she prepared herself for might be another fight.
Riche began to wake and feel the true amount of damage he had received. It was blinding pain that he could barely make out the elf that sat on a headstone only a few feet away.
"Your awake" Pen anounced as if it were a surprise.
"No help to our friend. Can't you play fair." Riche snarled at Pen's blurry image.
"Oh and you know whats fair? Listen, this is your last chance Riche. next time you pull a stunt like this I can't guarantee you'll be safe."
"I never asked for your help.""You never needed to." Pen replied which only angered the vampire.
"I swear I will get you if I have to go through all those you hold dear."I was afraid it will come to this."She sighed and walked over to the heap of a vampire. Pen knelled down beside the vampire and forced his arms behind his back.
"Going to kill me then." He seemed to laugh knowing far well Pen didn't have it in her to do so.
"Something worse." Taking out her bladed knuckles she started to saw the thumb of Riche's sword hand and other thumb. Not off but enough that the nerve damage would make it impossible to hold a sword or even a pencil. The pain was even more blinding and Riche became faint. Before he lost conscious Pen whispered in his ear.
"Last Chance my friend. Next time it will be your neck." He fell with a thud and Pen got up to return to the group. Knowing by the time he woke up the damage would be too great and old to have it ever repaired even with magic. It wasn't the killing part that was the problem it was the fact he was still the last living piece of her past that spared this scum's life. If he wasn't so intertwined with her past it would have been quick and painless.
"You have so much to learn Professor. Death is a privilege. The only real cure to all pain. Both of us aren't ready for such a remedy." she muttered walking to pair of headstones and kneeling down again. After a quick talk to seemly her self she left to find the group again.
"See mom and dad, I have a new family. You can stop worrying about me." She seem to regain her smile and found Skotti some 50 yards away.
