Pokemon Limits for Classes. Good enough or should the number be higher?
It's good how it is, I don't really use that many Pokemon.
It needs to be a bit higher but you're on the right track.

Michael walked over to Maddy and decided to strike up a conversation. :So what exactly is the mission for today?"

Caesar decided to just sit and wait for the sub to dock.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 29, 2014 5:28 pm

Rei couldn't help but feel a bit apprehensive. Why would Team Aqua need a submarine for this mission?

First things first, though. He turned to face a**lén.

"My apologies for dragging you in a somewhat rude manner. I'm Rei." He looked down at the Mudkip chomping down on his foot.

Bringing the submarine is smart. Hopefully we can awaken Xerneas, but if we cannot at least we might be able to take it with us." Rose commented out loud "We sure can't let Team Flare get it."
PostPosted: Sun Jun 29, 2014 5:36 pm

Maddy smirked as Michael asked her what they were doing today. "We're going to get Xerneas before Team Flare does."

After a few moments, the sub surfaced and pushed up onto the bank a little. The door opened, allowing everyone inside to exit.
Maddy got up from the pilot's chair, pocketed the submarine keys, and left the sub.
Outside, the Team would find themselves before a gigantic tree. It's canopy stretched so far that it cast a huge chunk of the forest in shadow. It was a miracle any other vegetation could survive underneath it, with it blocking the sun and all. Maddy assumed that Xerneas' power was what was keeping everything alive and well.
She took a scanner out of her pocket and flicked it on. Examining the readings, Maddy shook her head.
"The tree itself is not Xerneas, but it is nearby."
She frowned.
"Perhaps... inside?"

[Once you're out of the sub, patrol around the base of the tree and see if you can find a way inside. A Fairy Pokemon, angered that you are here to disturb Xerneas' slumber, will attack you. Reserve your posts. Catch the Pokemon if it is allowable at your rank.]

As Maddy was walking along, exploring the tree, when an angered Kirlia leapt out of the tree branches and attacked her!
She sent out her Lairon to defend herself. The Kirlia clasped it's hands together and closed it's eyes, concentrating. Nothing happened. It opened it's eyes and waited for Lairon to attack.
"Weird... Heavy Slam!"
Lairon ran forward and hit the Kirlia hard, using it's full body weight. The Kirlia stumbled backwards and fell flat on it's butt, struggling to get back onto it's feet. The move had nearly finished it off! It glowed with a blue aura as it attacked Lairon with a Psychic attack. The special attack merely glanced off his steely hide, hardly affecting him.
Maddy reached into her pocket and threw a Great Ball at the Kirlia. It was sucked inside.
Shake...
Shake...
Sha-BURST! Kirlia escaped!
It attacked with Magical Leaf this time, the unavoidable attack dealing a bit more damage to Lairon than Psychic had. Suddenly, Lairon was attacked by a hunk of psychic energy that appeared from out of nowhere!
"Oh, it was a Future Sight. Ah, well."
This time, Maddy decided to use an Ultra Ball to try and capture the Kirlia.
Shake...
Shake...
Shake...
... Ding! Kirlia was caught.
Maddy continued exploring the tree.

Sylveon Versus Togetic

After they left the Submarine and began searching for an entrance into the tree, Rose, accompanied by her Persian and Sylveon, were attacked by an angry Togetic that used Psychic on her Persian. Persian threw out a Pay Day attack, but it had little effect before Persian Fainted "Persian!" Rose said with concern, then recalled Persian to her Pokeball "Sylveon, you are up."

Veee-ooon" Her Sylveon said, getting in between the Togetic and Rose protectively.

"Moonblast, Sylveon." Rose ordered "Give it your all" she ordered.

"Veeeeeoooooon...." the Pokemon used a full power moonblast on Togetic. The Togetic seemed to have not thought her Sylveon would attack it, and it was caught off guard. Rose threw a Pokeball at the Togetic and it was drawn inside the ball.

Rose walked over and picked up Togetic's Pokeball, then resumed searching for the entrance.

The tree was far larger than the one found earlier in the week. Rei couldn't help but feel that finding an opening would take a while.

"Well, I guess the easiest place to start would be the base," he muttered. His Zubat whacked him lightly on the head. He nodded, and she flew ten feet in the air and began looking for an entrance. His boots crunched audibly on the forest floor. Rei winced at the sound; the place was eerily quiet. A sudden noise erupted further ahead of him, which seemed to set off a chain reaction from within the forest.

Fairy-type Pokémon appeared as if from nowhere! Rei suspected the rest of his team was under attack, as well. He pulled out a PokéBall, and after a moment's hesitation, sent out his Gible. A Mawile appeared from behind a bush and faced him, as if to challenge him to a battle.

Rei couldn't help but feel like the Mawile's fighting spirit was very familiar.

"You know," he said to the battle-ready Fairy/Steel type, "I have a few Pokémon just like you. I think you'll fit in nicely." With that, he nodded to his Gible, and the battle began.

"Menart, use Dig. And God help you if you get hit." The Gible dove underground in the hopes of an easy victory, but the Mawile was no novice to fighting Dragons. With a lunge, her massive jaw pierced through the ground and grabbed the unsuspecting Gible. The land shark flailed helplessly as the jaws crunched ever more tightly. Rei cringed. Menart had no chance against it.

"Menart, return." He hastily sent out a better contender, his Vulpix.

"Flamethrower. Now." Vulpix wasted no time blasting fire at the dangerous Mawile. To her credit, the Mawile withstood a surprising amount of punishment, managing to close her jaws on the fire fox. But Vulpix was no Gible. The flames intensified, and Mawile cried out in pain before releasing Vulpix from her grasp.

Rei decided this would be a good time to send out a PokéBall and capture the Mawile. He tossed an empty one, and in three clicks, the Pokémon was his. Satisfied, he returned his Vulpix and continued searching for a way into the tree. At his belt, a ball shook. Inkay received another point for holding the Exp. Share.

Caleb and his Marshtomp climbed out of the sub with the others. He had already seen the tree, so he didn't stop to look at it this time. He still thought it was quite an impressive sight though. As he and his pokemon searched for a way in, a somewhat familiar wind picked up around them. Hurricane. For a second, Caleb thought it was Allen and his pokemon again, but then remembered that the man hadn't joined them this time.

Standing above them on a fairly large tree root, was a Whimsicott. It seemed to be putting on a brave face as it stood there. It looked angry and nervous at the same time, hesitating a bit about challenging Caleb. Ah, but it wanted to protect Xerneas! It stood its ground, shaking a little all the while.

Caleb let out his Lairon. "Use Headbutt!" he ordered gently. His Lairon headbutted the root, knocking the Whimsicott off. "Iron Head!" Caleb called. The Lairon charged into the Whimsicott as it landed on the ground. The Whimsicott flinched, trying to regain its composure.

Caleb took out a Great Ball before tossing it at the Whimsicott. After the ball locked, Caleb sent it to the storage system before calling back his Lairon and moving on.

Michael hopped out of the sub and looked at the tree again. Remembering about the other day when he first saw it, but his memories were interupted by a orb of pink energy, which he barely got out of the way. He looked at Squirt and nodded. Squirt looked at the Slveon and fired an ice beam at it. The attack hit but besides the slight chill it responded with a slash. Squirt took the attack and retaliated with a water pulse, now on shaky legs Michael threw the great ball at it. Once twice tghrice it shook.

Caesar wandered out of the sub and noticed a very unhappy looking Mawhile staring at him. All he had was either a Venonat or Killer. Killer was his best bet so he sent him out. Killer attacked with water gun which hit but did little damage. The Mawhile tried to use bite but missed, which Killer used water gun again. Caesar used a standard pokeball and after three wiggles it stopped

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. a**lén got off the submarine without so much as a 'be right back'. It was not because she was rude - for she WASN'T - but rather due to the fact that, for this certain occasion, stealth was something that needed to be done, rather than making a hubble bobbob of a racket.

Slowly, she walked ahead, going from bush to bush, badly aware that her hair was very LOUD, as was her clothing colors in general. Honestly, for being stealthy, her clothing was not one should have.

But, for the most part, it went well. The tree, of course, was bigger than most trees she had ever seen before, and was feeling a bit nervous after seeing many different.... well, mystical-like, Fairy Pokémon.

Kiptastic, however, didn't quite get the stay-slient memo, and snapped on a tree branch. "KIP!" It soon cried out, realizing that a small army of three Flabébés soon turned their head, with glinting eyes.

"I....I don't think they like us- Oh, screw this, sneaky-points lost. GET 'EM, KIPTASTIC! HYDRO PUMP!!!"

Her Mudkip was all ready for this fight. YEAH. He was BORN ready!

But, even that couldn't magically make him gain a million levels and learn one of the most powerful water moves known to Poké-kind.

The Flabébé's were not amused, if the way they were moving their flowers into what seemed to be an attack position seemed to indicate anything.

They don't look like they'll hurt anything... she thought. Hopeful.

Until all of a sudden, fairy dust emitted from the stoma of the flower, showering the very air with sparkles and lights and all other sorts of shennanigans.

a**lén began to cough, realizing that no matter how teeny tiny they were, they were STILL aggressive Pokémon. And as such, she had violated the cardinal rule of underestimating them.

That, and her Kiptastic's times in battle could be counted on her one gloved hand. So, it wasn't like he was a god-like being of water sporting slapping powers.

"Well, if there are three of you, let's try to EVEN THIS TIDE!!"

Yeah. A water pun.

She was SUCH a genius.

With that, she threw forward her second Pokéball, and out in a flourish of red light, with a scowl set on his face and all, was the one, the only, Grumpypants.

And, boy, would the word 'grump' be placed nicely today.

"Kiptastic! Grumpypants! Let's blow them away towards the Marina's Trench!" And, yes, she did have a plan.

Sorta.

"POWDER SNOW!" she aimed her hand for her Cubchoo to listen in. With that one command, the small, evil teddy bear blew its snot out of the way and send a mound of snow, right on the flowers. Kiptastic was still sitting in the background, a little injured from earlier, but still ready to go.

The second one managed to push itself out of the snow pile, eager to defend its fellow kind. With a mischievous look for a body far too small, it suddenly brought forth a vine from the tree to life and slapped Grumpypants right in the face.

Che-! At least he is ice type, but if that had hit Kiptastic!!

But, the vine wasn't to faint the Mudkip. It was to stop the ice onslaught. And suddenly, she was faced with 2 and 1/2 capable fairy type Pokémon.

Things weren't looking all that well for the newbie Team Aquan. "Tackle the ice shard and embed them into their little bodies!" a**lén cried out viciously. Darn it, she wasn't going to loose here! Not now! NOPE.

"KIPPPP!!!" it screamed out, hitting one of the Flabébés in the face, causing that one to faint into her flower petal.

Back and forth the fight went. Ice from Grumpypants, a tackle from Mudkip...

But, the Fairies were too many. She was getting out-DPS'd. Even worse, she had no healing items for her poor Pokémon. Once they fainted, it was up to the PokéCenter... and even then, that was Goodness-Knows-Where now.

She bit her teeth. There was ONE other way....

"Alright, guys," she nodded, as her Pokémon wondered why they hadn't just given up already, "I want you to aim all of your damage on #3."

The fight revamped. With injuries on both her creatures, she waited until the third Flabébé went down.

And, just before the last remaining Flabébé could aim its deadly flower towards her Pokémon's last remaining hit points, she pulled out a small, red and white circular object from her hipbag.

Her regular, plain Jane PokéBall.

With a quick, and hard, throw, she aimed it directly at the Flabébé's head, making the ball capture the monster in a puddle of red light.

One shake.

Two.

Three--!!!

With a small clicking noise, a**lén stepped back and took a sigh of relief.

"Oh, my. That... was harder than I thought."

Kiptastic and Grumpypants couldn't agree more.

Ace looked and saw a marill popping out, and seemed to be angry for some reason. She frowned, but sent out her gloom. After all, she does need a back up water pokemon. "Isabelle, use Mega drain!" The plant pokemon then began to suck life out of the poor marill. The move was pretty effective, but the marill won't give up just yet. It charged at the gloom before bursting into a tackle directly hitting Isabelle in the face before recoiling some of the damage.

Ace whipped out her net ball and tossed at the wild pokemon. She waited a few minutes until she heard the ding. Pick the net ball up before it magically vanished. "There it goes." Ace said.

Her battle finished up, Maddy approached the giant tree and climbed up onto one of it's vast roots.
It took a few minutes to fully reach the top, but the view was worth it. She could see most of the area between the root she was on and the adjacent ones.
She turned to examine the tree a little more closely and noticed a crack in the wood on the other side of the root she was on, right in between where it protruded from the trunk.
She slid down the other side of the root and went to investigate, soon learning that the crack was an opening big enough for a person to slip inside! She couldn't see far inside though, because it was so dark.
She turned and called out to her team mates.
"Hey, you guys! I found something! Come look!"
She stood back and waited, since she knew it may take a bit of effort for them all to get around the giant roots.

Caleb started over, looking a bit surprised at the way Maddy had shouted. His Marshtomp had finally given back his glasses. He adjusted them as he carefully climbed over the giant roots. When he finally did arrive on the scene, he squinted into the dark crevice.

"Nice..." he said. He sent out his Chinchou. "Looks like we'll be needing some light again," he added.

Sylveon seemed to be having an easier time getting up the root then her.

With a bit of climbing, Rei landed near Maddy.

"I take it you found something," he commented. His Zubat hovered over the gap in the tree. It took only a moment for Rei to register what she meant.

"Oh. An opening. Excellent, I suppose." He thought for a moment.

"Countess, when we go inside, I'm counting on you to scout ahead." He looked down at Chinchou. "We should be fine with lighting."
