(( Oh god these kits are going to freeze...Forsnaken can't get them warm >< ))
[I shuddered as Forsaken's cool paws touched my back. There was a violent reaction in my belly to his touch, and I yowled again at the intense agony.
Something was definitely moving around in my belly. More than one somethings. How could they move-weren't they supposed to stay still? It was as if they were struggling not to be born, and I even felt them pressing at my back where Forsaken touched me. They're drawn by his touch, a thought told me. But I was preoccupied in pain. My body was struggling to force them out, and they were struggling to stay inside. I shuddered.
Finally, with much effort, one slipped out, gasping and mewling with its siblings.
One more to go. At least, that's what I hoped. I couldn't bear more. My body was weakening from loss of blood, among other things. I panted, putting more effort into this last one.
One more.
I heaved, hissing at the air. The final kit slipped out. I coughed, panting. The fire. It was finally gone. I felt an immense burden lift, and the madness that pressed at my mind evaporated like mist.
I felt...I felt...what was the word?
Purged.
The word I had said to Forsaken so many moons ago rang through my mind.
With this new clarity of mind, I lifted my head weakly to see my kittens.
Five of them sat, shivering in the cold and looking at me with wide eyes. Almost as if on cue, they swarmed over to me wildly, sharp teeth searching for milk. I flinched as they latched on, but it was natural and I relaxed, letting them suckle.
I looked over to the sixth kitten who rested silently on the ground. Pain rocked through me. I shifted, leaning towards it, and my kittens rolled over each other at the movement. I picked up the dead kitten, dragging him to my paws. I began grooming him stubbornly, not saying anything.
It was my fault. My fault. Maybe if I hadn't fought in that battle. Maybe if I had let everyone know I was pregnant and had taken it easy. He would still be alive. I licked my dead kit, cleaning him furiously in pain.
Finally, I stopped, staring at him. Something was wrong with him. His ears were deformed, almost sealed shut, and his eyes were too small. His jaws were parted and I noticed he had no tongue. Deaf and mute? Possibly blind too. I stared in horror. What had happened to it?
But my mind was racing. Names. They had to have names.]
"Tritekit," I said solemnly to the dead kit.
[My eyes trailed over to the other kittens. One was ripping furiously at my belly, his jaws parted angrily. Another was suckling as if she could never get enough. Another was licking instead of sucking, strangely enough. The fourth seemed full and sad back, a content look on her face. The fifth was standing back, and I realized he hadn't suckled yet. He sniffed the air of the other kits suckling with envy. I leaned forward and gently pushed him to my belly, trying to latch it onto where the content kitten had finished, but she wouldn't let him and claimed her spot angrily. I pushed him over to where the strange licking kitten sat, and the kitten gladly accepted her brother, letting him drink.
My mind turned.]
"Irekit," I murmured to the angry kit who was now fighting with the content kitten. "Vanitykit," I said to the content kitten. "Bitterkit," I said to the kitten I had to push forward. "Avaricekit," I sad to the kitten who was still greedily suckling despite the fact that her siblings were full. "Cravekit," I said finally to the kitten who affectionately cleaned Bitterkit.
[I looked at my kittens, my eyes weary. Exhaustion flew over me, but I knew I couldn't stay away from camp for too long. But these kittens. I couldn't...leave them. They were my children. My heart ached for them...]
I looked up to Forsaken and smiled a sweet smile I hadn't smiled in a long time, and whispered, "Thank you, Forsaken..."
[Troubled, I looked back down at the children.]
"What am I going to do?" I asked helplessly, pain clouding my face.
[Where would the kittens go...?]
(( OKAY so uh. Puresun'll disappear for a day or two, at least 24 hours, and then come home. biggrin I'll talk with bnuddy about where the kittans go. ~<3 Nobody come yet mkay. : o
Also, when she returns, feel free to have your cat be suspicious nstuff. She'll also have suddenly lost a lot of weight (preggers fat) so that's a suspiciousinating factor. :< )) ═══════════════════════ ...my belly is on fire

[Envypaw returned Hauntedheart's smile as she blinked, trotting up to Mudnose with curiosity and excitement.] "Mudnose, what are we gunna do first for training?" [Envypaw's blue eyes were wide as she sat respectfully infront of the dappled warrior. Envypaw flinched when she heard her mommy talk like that as she focused her ears to their conversation.  ♥[Dovesong sighed, padding away towards the fresh-kill pile, her face was masked with confusion. She tried her best to occupy herself by picking out a small scrawny mouse. She took it to the front of the warrior's den, munching on it half-heartedly. Dovesong's eyes were a dull blue-gray storm clouds.] Find your way into my heart. All stars could be brighter... All hearts could be warmer.... What would it take for things to be quiet?

[Forsaken could feel the small lives inside react to it's cold touch, it guided them out gently and cleaned them off one by one before placing them up against Puresun's body for warmth. Forsaken could feel the queen's body relax after her hardship. The demon's bright glowing eyes looked down upon the small and odd kittens. It's eyes narrowed, inspecting each and every one of them, Forsaken was displeased to see some of the deformity that they possessed.
The thought of them being Blood's kitten's made the demon resent them but felt oddly protective over them at the same time. Forsaken looked up from the kittens to Puresun t the sound of her sweet voice and smiled an odd smile.]
"No, thank you Puresun."
[Forsaken's eyes fell down upon the kits with Puresun's as it too thought the same question.] "I will watch over them like i promised. Thats what we are going to do. I will find a place where they can live in peace and safety." [The dark spirit said as it's eyes focused on the kits, its heart holding a wide verity of mixed feelings. Half of distant and half of love. Forsaken looked away, confused by these contracting feelings.]
When i was first cursed i thought i would never love anyone, yet somehow Puresun forced her way in, then Bluemoon gave me her friendship, and now there are theses kittens....
[Forsaken hid it's face within it's claws, not knowing what to think anymore. Everything it was so sure of was now filling with doubt. Nothing seemed the same anymore. But when it saw the way that she looked at the kits it did know one thing.]
"i promise to protect them. "
[Forsaken offered Puresun some chewed borage leaves.] "Eat this, it will help your milk supply." [The demon began to clean her calico coat with cobwebs.] " I just want you to know that i will be here with you through this...."

[I smiled at Forsaken again, feeling some comfort in the cold night. I began to shiver from exposure to cold, and I looked down at my kittens in dismay. Then I stood, Tritekit in my jaws, and as I did they jumped to their feet and stumbled after me, mewling as they went blindly. I noticed that Bitterkit had only three legs-her front left leg was missing. I stared at her a bit before sighing and walking gingerl over to a bush where I settled. The kittens flocked to me and buried themselves in my warm belly where they had just escaped from. I also noticed Cravekit's tail was nothing but a stump and her ears were folded, like mine. Vanitykit also had six toes on each foot. These strange oddities made me curious, and I poked around the other kittens. I could find no more strange things, but I placed Tritekit's limp body in my paws. I stared at him achingly, wishing he had lived. Then I picked up his body and placed him next to Vanitykit, who sniffed the dead body curiously, her whiskers twitching. Sighing, I looked around, knowing I couldn't make it back to camp on my own.]
"I'm going to have to rest here for tonigh," I murmured, raising my head and looking around.
I added hesitantly, almost shyly, "Will you stay with me, Forsaken?" ═══════════════════════ ...my belly is on fire

[I studied Brokensoul for a few moments, my brilliant green eyes narrowed. Finally, I sighed quietly and stood up, beckoning him with my tail. I walked over to Hauntedheart's den and poked my head inside, quickly grabbing a few poppy seeds before darting back out, not wanting to be noticed by the temperamental Medicine Cat. I trotted back over to the tom and laid the seeds at his paws]
"Chew" I ordered.
[Closing my eyes for a few moments, I suddenly felt exhausted, knowing looking after Brokensoul would take a lot of effort. But I had to keep the Clan safe. I sat back down, turnin my watchful gaze on the tom, not missing anything]
[@Trixie/Timber: Uh, who exactly is the father of Puresun's kits? razz ]

For those who might be confused, Blood didn't realize he'd get her preggers. He was only trying to infuse some of his madness in her brain. But even he's never tried something like that before, and the outcome was...well...yeah. ))

[Forsaken watched as Puresun got up and moved, having a trail of mewing kittens wobble behind her. Forsaken found itself following after her as well. The demon's ear's twitched as she spoke. The demon nodded, agreeing that rest was best after such a strainouse event. Forsaken smiled it's sly smile, witch was more kind then the smile it usually had on it's face.] "Yes, i will stay with you. I dont want to take the chance of anything else finding you." [Forsaken slithered over to the queen and her kittens and begin to dig a nest in the snow under bush. It then coiled around her like a defensive fence before it lied down upon the soft ground. The demon's form was cold but it's bright eyes shone an eerie light upon Puresun.]

[Mudnose blinked in surprise as Envypaw asked her when they would train. She coughed slightly.] "Um, I'm not sure. I had figured you would want to have time to let this sink in," [she meowed. She couldn't believe it herself! She snorted, shaking her head.] "What am I thinking though? You're strong, right?" [she said with a weak smile. On the inside she was bawling like a kit though. All that had happened this night. She couldn't believe it. Cinderwing had been her friend; many cats' friends. And Lavenderstar had exiled him, banishing him forever. She snorted. That seemed a little unfair. The tom had been a prisoner, after all.
But he was a father, she thought mockingly. She snorted, shaking her head.] "I'll teach you how to hunt tomorrow. Right now, you can come on the patrol with me," [she meowed with forced enthusiasm. Without another word, she padded to Lavenderstar who was about to leave. She cleared her throat.] "Hey, can I bring Envypaw? She needs something to do, and I want to show her NightClan territory," [she meowed, trying to hide the fatigue in her voice, but failing.]

He could already feel the affects of the herb drowning his thoughts, he could hear Shadow's breathing growing...faint.] Yes...it's...working... [Brokensoul began to sway and almost fell down but used his tail to balance himself. He mewed quietly, barely a whisper to Willowheart.] "Thankyou...it seems this herb is taking affect on me fast, hm....." [Brokensoul trailed off, suddenly feeling the weight of a big burden weighing off. He leaned back, finding himself on Willowheart's shoulder. [I sighed with relief inwardly. I was hoping I could spend more time with Forsaken. Now that there was the new rule of no-cats-out-alone, I never had any more time alone to be with him. At this rate, he'd be seen! I wished he could be accepted, but then again he was a demon. And if my mother ever found out, there was no doubt I would be forbidden from seeing him again. I liked to think I was better off with Forsaken anyway-we could go wherever we wanted, around the world even!-but NightClan was my home. And I took an oath that I would serve them. I couldn't just run away from my problems. I would hurt my brother and mother beyond belief, and my mother didn't need that kind of pain at the moment.
As Forsaken wrapped himself protectively around me, I felt a twinge of happiness. It was rare when I could be this close to him. I rested my head down and closed my eyes, feeling sleep drag me down...
My kittens, however, were far from tired.
Avaricekit popped her head up, her eyes closed of course, being a kitten. She sniffed the air and swiveled her head pointedly in the direction of Forsaken. She stood and stomped carelessly across her mother and over to his back, where she proceeded to lay and begin kneading his back, purring. Cravekit peeked over her mother's head, too, and started climbing across Puresun to get to him. Vanitykit stood and trailed after her sister, and even Bitterkit stood and trailed after her siblings. Irekit, however, stubbornly remained with his mother, not saying a word.
So the kittens snuggled either on their mother's back and leaning on Forsaken or on Forsaken himself. Vanitykit claimed his forehead as her designated spot and flopped down on it, refusing to let the others lay with her. They finally settled and slept soundly, as if all was well.
Irekit began batting at his dead brother, chewing the kitten's ear and playfighting with it. Puresun tried to get him to settle but he kept attacking the body, so she sighed and mumbled something before resting her head and falling asleep. Irekit finally became bored with his brother and snuggled against his mother's belly, content to have the entire space all to himself.] ═══════════════════════ ...my belly is on fire

xxxxxxxxxxThe silent and misunderstood warrior of NightClan. [I stared at my paws for a moment, indifferented by Cinderwing's sentence. I snorted. Honestly, it served him right. He had killed a cat, for pete's sake! I shook my head. This Clan was going downhill; and fast.
A meow caught my attention even though it wasn't directed at me. My whiskers twitched, and I smiled. It was Willowheart. The gray she-cat was sitting next to Brokensoul, who seemed to be dozing off. I snorted. Poor tyke's had a rough day of trying to kill plenty of cats, I thought, rolling my eyes. I stood up. Poor Willowheart had to babysit the killer.
I padded over to Willowheart, making myself comfortable on the other side of Brokensoul. I smiled, nodding to Willowheart in greeting. She would probably need extra paws if the tom got out of hand.]

[Forsaken's glowing eyes watched with curiosity as the blind newborns crawled over to it and began to climb allover it's cold form. Forsaken twitched it's tail nervously, not sure how to react to the kitten's forward welcome.] Tisk, just like purepaw, no sense of stranger danger. [The demon looked down at them smiling its wide smile in welcome.] "kekeke hello little ones. Welcome to the big wide world. Cold isent it?" [Forsaken lowered it's head to their level and said in it's usually slick yet charming voice. Forsaken flinched as one of them (Vanitykit) climbed up onto it's forehead an protectively claimed it as her own. Forsaken couldn't help but smile wider and purr its eerie purr quietly to itself. As Puresun rested Forsaken pawed lightly at the kittens, tickling their little noses with its long, cold tail.] kekekeke i almost forgot just how clumsy kittens were.

[Avaricekit snorted and raised his head, his permanently squinting face pointed in the direction of the demon's voice. All the kitten's ears perked as Forsaken spoke. Even Irekit peeked out from his mother's belly. Cravekit immediately began swatting at Forsakent's tail, letting out shrill squeaks of joy at the plaything. Bitterkit shoved her aside and launched herself at the tail, biting it ruthfully, though it was only as strong as a kitten's n**. Cravekit stumbled over her sister, trying to get a stronghold. Vanitykit busied herself with Forsaken's ears, swatting at them and snuffing them. She batted his nose and became intrigued in his bent whiskers, sliding down his face to bat at them.
Avaricekit wanted some attention, too, but she was too lazy to stand, so she continued kneading his back with contented purrs.
Puresun was in deep sleep. Her kitten's antics did not wake the exhausted queen, so she was of no help to Forsaken.
Irekit became intrigued in Forsaken's tail as well, of which Bitterkit and Cravekit were fighting with. He stumbled over and started swatting at their backs, trying to get them to leave but not really succeeding.] ═══════════════════════ ...my belly is on fire

[Forsaken was surprised at how strong their jaw strength was at birth and the ferocity they all ganged up on it's tail with. The demon could feel the tug on it's ear and whiskers but clenched its teeth so as not to hiss and startle Vanitykit. Forsaken could feel little teeth and batting paws relentlessly attack it's long tail. Forsaken smiled slyly.] "kekekeke careful kitties, that tail tends to be a tricky one~" [The cold tail slowly sunk away into the shadow below it, escaping the merciless gang up. A short distance away the shadowy tail rose up from another shadow and began to flick and twitch one more, almost as if in a challenge to catch it.]
