[ 'Teacher' : Jadis' Castle : Castle Halls ]
The cloaked woman didn't move for a moment, and though her face was hidden under the shadows of the hood, the raised brow of confusion could be felt. "I do not know... why, should I have been informed?"

[Nicholas :: Jadis' Castle :: Castle Halls]
Now it was Nick's turn to blink in confusion. "...But didn't you talk with Ajora on the hill after I left? I assumed that's what you wanted to talk to him about. But if you didn't, it's fine. He can just reach me on the charms. For now, though, I should visit the armory. I have a feeling I'm going to have to get my hands dirty..." He snickered, looking at his gloved hands for a moment before continuing to walk.
How odd that he didn't tell her about what he's doing. But it makes me wonder what they did talk about...

[Jenny :: Shipwreck Cove :: Balcony]
"Yeah, it technically shouldn't work... but it does!" Jenny replied, obviously baffled and trying to grasp the concept of magic. She loved it, and getting a flute to work under water was probably the least of the wonders... but still. "Plus, swimming wasn't so... bad with an appendage made specifically for such a feat," she mumbled after, while still on the topic of magic and its strange ways, she didn't seem to have trouble flipping her tail through the water. Sure she held onto the dock for a good five minutes, giving herself a pep-talk until she finally let go. To be able to swim felt good, much like how she imagined flying would be.
She took another bite of the apple as she looked to Louis, as she quietly observed the conversation. Did Louis disappear yesterday? Sayrike's question caused Jenny to backtrack the day's events and she didn't recall seeing Louis again. But in all likelihood, he probably went off on his own. He seemed to keep private a lot, even in their conversation aboard the train.
"He seems like one with much to hide... not just personal information but general information such as what his homeland is like," Siren commented, her voice like a brush of silk lined with suspicion.
Not everyone finds it easy to confide in others. The mage retorted, after all, she was also hesitant in revealing things about herself. But Siren had a point, Louis didn't really talk about Ivalice. She just knew it didn't have chocolate milk. Jenny planted her teeth into the apple again but held it there in her palms, not yet biting off a chunk. She gazed upwards at Louis, through the safety of her bangs.

[Joe: Shipwreck Cove: Balconies]
Kyle might have felt something back along the seal. Something along the lines of...of a phrase. Something like...something akin to Joe saying 'bite me, let me be angry'. And then he turned his attention to Mathy.
"...Nothing like the games. Just...fighting. Probably better that way." The fighter sighed. "I'm going to head into the water and get a head start. I can't just sit here." And then he hopped over balcony and cushioned himself with wind, then dived into the water, taking a moment to get used to being a merman again. Whether or not people followed him didn't matter. He just...couldn't just sit there. Had to get moving, get ready.

{Bobbi .:. Shipwreck Cove .:. Balconies}
Bobbi listened to the conversations around her. She didn't participate; she was still groggy from waking up, and was afraid of saying something profoundly stupid. For all that she pretended she didn't care what other people thought of her, she still wanted to make a good impression. And letting her mouth run before her brain was properly functioning was not a good idea.
Then she saw Joe jump off the balcony, and shivered. These people and leaping from high places. There was a perfectly good ramp to use to get down to the water, what was wrong with it using that? Waste of resources, that's what it was.
"Hmm, swimming practice," she mused aloud, debating whether she wanted to take the next half hour to try to get something more in her stomach, or feel the water around her. Bobbi loved to swim, but all of her experience with it was in pools and lakes, not in the ocean where there was a tide and undertow and... all that fancy stuff that made it an ocean, whatever it was all called. She should probably get used to how that all worked. She turned to Jenny with a quick question.
"Is the water cold at all?" she asked the flautist. "Or do the dress spheres handle that like they did with the heat in Agrabah?"
~:What's wrong with cold?:~ Shiva demanded. Bobbi had a hard time telling if she was teasing or genuinely affronted.
Well, for one, it's cold, she replied. I don't like being cold. For another, I'd be burning through more energy trying to keep warm. For a third, if I'm tense all over trying not to shiver, it'll make it that much harder to move with any speed, and never mind trying to use my arrows. ...why are we having this conversation? It's too early in the morning for logic!

[Noelle ~ Shipwreck Cove ~ Rose Training Room]
Noelle glanced back over her shoulder to make sure the door was fully closed before looking back to Riku and listening to what he had to say. Being reminded of what lie ahead brought her anxiety level back up. Taking a deep breath kept her calm, but a lot of the worry was still there. A lot was on her mind with the Replicas, the battle that was just a few short hours away, Kyle's well being, and her own competence with the Darkness and helping the others. It was dangerous to be too impatient, though, so she would deal with what she was capable of for now.
"Alright," the agromancer said tentatively. It was obvious that there was a lot on her mind, but she couldn't let it get in the way now. Noelle sat across from Riku and crossed her legs, placing her hands on her knees with her palms up and fingers relaxed. Being sure to make sure her posture was correct, she closed her eyes and cleared her mind, trying to feel out the Darkness in her heart.

[ Sora ; Seymour ; Yuffie : Caribbean : Shipwreck Cove Docks ]
---Thirty Minutes Later---
"Whelp, it's about time to go," Sora said, back-stroke swimming around in circles as the others began to gather. "Joe's already jumped ahead, right?"
"I believe so, yes," Seymour mused, lazily treading water with his multiple thin tentacles; he had become squid-like, his lower body ironically resembling his wild hair. The tentacles were a paler blue and somewhat translucent, likely due to his state as an Unsent.
About that time, the young, black-haired ninja girl peaked her head around the corner, looking, for once, a bit uncertain. "Um, do ya think it's possible that, uh, you could maybe change me, too?"
"I thought you were staying with the Pearl?" Sora asked, propping himself up by his arms on the docks and looking up with curiosity.
"Well, I, uh... I figured I'd stick around with you guys! I've always wanted to see what it was like down there," she said, reverting to her cheery mischievousness. She preferred not to talk about her odd condition.
"I could give it a shot," Seymour mused, summoning his staff with a raised brow. "Jump in."
"Awesome, here we go!" she shouted, excitedly running and diving into the water. Before she broke sea level, Seymour hit her with a transformative spell-- the same used by Kuja in Halloween Town to give those without Dress Spheres the proper costume. In a flash of light, she was transformed into an odd sort of manta ray mermaid-- the thin, wide wings of the manta form started just below her ribs and spread out in a curved, triangular fashion before going inward again, coming together to form a long stinger.
When she rose from the water, she looked down at herself to admire the transformation... only to find that, instead of seashells for a bra, she had kelp wrappings due to her naturally thin frame.
"Oh, ha ha, dead man!" she said, glaring at Seymour who, despite his generally apathetic exterior, was having trouble hiding the slight curve of his smirk.

{Bobbi .:. Shipwreck Cove .:. Docks} Bobbi had been sitting with her feet dangling in the water. It wasn't enough to trigger the transformation, and she was letting her legs get used to the feeling of having saltwater soaking them instead of the chlorine-filled "fresh" water she was used to swimming in. The initial touch was cold, but either it wasn't as bad as she had feared, or the dress sphere was doing something about it. Either way, it was swimmable without making her tense, and that was pretty much all she needed to know. Instinctively the Archer ducked as Yuffie dove in from right beside her. Even though the ninja had plenty of clearance to jump into the ocean, Bobbi still felt the need to make sure she wasn't in the way. She laughed out loud at Yuffie's reaction to her mer-form, and slid off the edge of the dock into the ocean before her laughter could bring retaliation. On instinct, Bobbi held her breath as her head went under, and she kicked her legs... flipped her fin? Freaking appendage changes mid-thought. Anyway. She broke the surface and took a breath again, then looked down to see what had been done to her body this time. She couldn't really see anything, though, below the surface of the water. " ...Poopsicles," she said, then held her breath so she could dive in a somersault and see beneath the waves. About halfway through, she'd gotten the full view of her fishy self, but decided to stay under for a bit. She was going to have to figure out how to get her survival instincts to accept the fact that even though she was trying to breathe salt water, it was okay and wouldn't kill her. When she came back up, her expression was one of amused outrage. " A blue tetra?" she said, torn between laughing and demanding a refund. " I'm not even a salt water fish!"

[Noelle ~ Shipwreck Cove ~ Docks]
After training with Riku, Noelle went and grabbed another quick bite to eat. She was feeling emotionally drained and tired, but confident. However, there was nothing that could help the nervous butterflies. The agromancer walked along to the end of the dock they were supposed to meet at, trapped inside her own mind. Bobbi's statements tore her from her reverie, making her smile. She dove in gracefully next to the ice user, remaining underwater to get used to it. It took her a few moments to get up the courage to open her eyes and let out her breath. It was so unnatural to be letting out her breath and not be going back up for air. It was hard to describe the transition, because it felt like she was still breathing air, but she was very aware of the water. Having calmed a bit, Noelle looked down at what she had changed into.
Her merform was that of a Mandarin Goby, but instead of having the typical shell covering on her upper torso she had a bandeau of scales matching the beautiful array of colors on her tail. With a shrug to herself, Noelle kicked to the surface next to Bobbi and gave her a smile.
"This is weird, but so cool."

[Dawn : Shipwreck Cove : Docks]
During the time of preparations Dawn decided to take her time to get some sort of light breakfast. Though she didn't eat much. Her mind was too weighted down due to the events that had happened and the ones to come. She couldn't help, but wonder what was to come.
~'Sunlight you are stressing yourself out again. You got to keep focus and remember everything, though it is going to be tough, is going to work out for a reason.'~
'Yes I know. I know...' Dawn said to Garuda with a sigh. She appreciated her summon's intentions, it was hard for her to throw away her worry. After she ate she continued to wander around the Red Rose and the docks. Before too long she saw the Alantica group all getting ready to go. Dawn, with a sudden burst of speed rushed to join them.
"You guys be careful down there!" Dawn almost yelled out to them, And keep us updated, if you can!"

{Bobbi .:. Shipwreck Cove .:. Docks}
Bobbi grinned back at Noelle, glad to see some life back in her friend. Noelle had seemed very sombre lately, it was nice to see her smiling.
"I know, right?" she said. "I used to wish I could turn into a mermaid when I was little! Very pretty tail, by the way." Then she heard Dawn shouting at them from the dock, and turned to wave at her friend.
"Be careful? Ha! You know me better than that," Bobbi said, then splashed playfully in Dawn's direction. "Don't you do anything stupid, now, or I'll come back with a fish and drop it down your skirt!"

[Jenny :: Shipwreck Cove :: Docks]"Wow! Your merforms are all so pretty!" Jenny commented as she sat on the docks, dipping her toes in and admiring the pretty colors. As Dawn spoke the mage shot a quick reassuring smile and a nod before slipping into the water. Her heart was pounding in her chest and thumping in her ears, what if the magic didn't work and she drowned? What if...
Before she even had time to fuel her doubts, Jenny opened her eyes to see the translucent purple and teal fins glide past her vision. It looked as if she was something between a Chinese Fighting Fish and... something else that she couldn't quite put her finger on. Jenny smiled broadly, as she did a small flip in the water. How sad it was going to be when she returned to Earth and her non-swimming capabilities... maybe, she'd try learning again.
Jenny resurfaced behind Noelle with a surprise hug for the agromancer while she tried to still the anxiety that was building within her. As light-hearted as Atlantis was, they were going to battle and Jenny was going to do everything possible to keep her friends safe. The time mage smiled outwardly, "Swimming is so amazing! How could I have not learned before? Granted I didn't have fins but still!" ((Lazy coloring >w>;; ))

[Anthony ~.~ Shipwreck Cove ~.~ Docks]
Anthony stood off to the side, hands in his pockets and a neutral expression, and watched the others jump into the water and transform into their merforms. He felt... emotionless. Not in the cold, twisted sense of the word, but just a lack of emotion. He felt nothing, if you would. No anxiety or worry for his companions or the fight ahead or fear of potential death and failure.
The knight sat down on one of the posts. He didn't bother removing his hands from his pockets. Just as he sat, he felt a sharp p***k against his thigh. He pulled out a hand. It was the crucifix charm that hung from one of his gloves.
The young man stared at the charm Intentively, examining it as if searching for an answer only it knew. He lowered his hand and sighed.
"Something troubles you, my friend?" asked Odin.
Anthony was startled. He had forgotten about Odin. "No... nothing's bothering me." "One of the advantages of living within one's mind is knowing when the other is lying..." Anthony gave a smirk. "It's nothing. Really. I like to call moments like these my 'man period.'" "Man period?" "Yeah, you know... period. Like... that thing that happens to women once a month where they bleed outta the--" "Ut-da-da! I get it. I just don't understand why you experience menstruation." Anthony inwardly chuckled. "It's nothing like that. Sometimes I don't know what to feel; rather, how to feel about things going on around me and I just become so indifferent to everyone and everything." Odin was quiet for a moment. The young man could feel his summon momentarily thinking with a quiet, mental "hmm..." and imagined him stroking his chin with closed eyes and furrowed brows. "Perhaps you do know," he finally said. "You just don't want to."
They both were quiet.
"I know what you and Louis spoke of. I could feel your pride and your selfishness... I could also feel your guilt and your regret. You do feel them as much as you would like to make yourself believe otherwise. I am not here to judge, for it is not my place to, but I could advise, and my advice is to stay clear of this path. You do not know the power you are tampering with. It is a force to be reckon with and you do not have what it takes to control it as much as you may think you can." "That's enough!" Anthony barked mentally at his summon. "I did not ask for your opinion or your concern. I may need you for your power, but I am your host and hell if I'ma sit here and listen to some slave! You are at my beck and call and will speak when I speak to you, understand? Anthony could feel his summon's deathly glare. "Understood... master."
Neither of them spoke after that.

{Kyle : Shipwreck Cove : DocksHaving gotten some food in him, Kyle was all set to go. He loved swimming and having a fish tail would certainly prevent him from drifting to unsafe distances where the waves would drown him...stupid Florida. Still, there was a bit of apprehension in him. Wouldn't they die from pressure or something? Or have to go slowly? Probably not, magic and all that. Still...Just get in. See, the others are fine.Yeahhh, but we're on the surface! He whined. There was no response from Midgardsormr, but his patience was wearing thin. Looks like it was time to get in. "Look at all the lovely ladies~ I think I'm getting an nosebleed~" He tilted his head back and closed his nose, pretending to stop it, but he needed to do something to calm himself. Tilting his head back down, he took a deep breath and jumped. There was a moment of panic when he tried to get used to the fact that he now had one leg-fin-thingy in place of two, and another when he let his breath go and hesitated breathing in.
"Breathing water is weird." Was the first thing he could think of when he came back up, then twisted around to get a look at his tail. His tail was that of a blue Spectacled Parrotfish and he moved it a bit trying to get used to it.

[Noelle ~ Shipwreck Cove ~ Docks]
"Ohthankyou." The agromancer replied to Bobbi, looking down into the water at the bright colors of her tail while swishing it around. Noelle watched as Jenny joined them and couldn't help but smile when she hugged her. She lifted her hands to hold onto the time mage's arms before spinning in circles with her.
She laughed, "We'll just have to teach you to swim for real some time! It's not as hard as you might think, and can be super fun. But I guess nothing is going to top being an actual mermaid."
Noelle stopped spinning and looked up at Anthony who was looking highly pensive. Even unhappy. The girl made a face and glanced back at Jenny as if asking 'Whatsa matta wit him?'.
"Hey, Anthony," she called, "Why the face?"
