Aki bowed to the two brothers that stood up to leave. "Konbanwa" have a good night" she said as they left. Then she turned her attention back to the other maiko and geisha . There seemed to be many relationships here and they were so cute to watch.

Hikaru_Ayanami2 Haru's head started to nod and he struggled to keep his eyes open. " I'm sorry everyone, I'm very tired and must be on my way home now." He smiled to Ariku and squeezed her hand a little before standing up. " I've had a lovely time tonite with you all and hope to see you all in a festival or preform at the theater." He bowed. " Ariku-chan I hope to see you again soon. I always enjoy your company." He winked to her before turning and leaving the tea house. Ariku smiled and bowed as the he left. "Have a good night. Get home safely," she said and waved.

Tora smiled and bowed to Hachi. "No problem at all. I'll be sure to make a special one for you," she said, sitting up and looking at him.

Tehamanda-san... Will you become a teacher to the new arrivals in your okiya? It sounds like you could help them a lot in every kind of training ::smiles::.

It sounds like you could help them a lot in every kind of training ::smiles::. --post 19-- "It's up to my new mama what happens. All I've been asked to do thus far is teach the few maiko the tea ceremony, but those maids need more help than the maiko do."

I see. It sounds like it will be a long but good rode that those new maids will travel on. We all started as they did. It takes awhile to reach a maiko and even more dedication to become a geisha but it is well worth it and if your okiya's maids really want to work hard for it I am thinking they will become very good ^-^.

Yuri nibbled On a rice ball as she listened to the others.
Her eyes got heavy and everytime she blinked she almost forgot how to open them again. It was getting late but it was just fine She had to get used to this if she wanted to make it to geisha.
" Momoko-san? why don't you bring the maids to one of the classes when the school is running again to see how we all have moved up from the post from maids, show them the fun and responsibility of being a maiko/geisha." She smiled shyly.

Aki looked around and noticed just how late it had gotten. She never realised how absobed you got in the tea house that you could lose track of time that fast. It was amazing how everyone seemed to keep their energy up. She took a sip of tea and then lefted a pot to fill up the empty ones around the table; gently holding her sleeve with her other hand so that it didn't get in the way.

"Arigatou Aki-chan," she said taking of sip of the tea.
She moved her attention to the conversation.
"Yes, that sounds like a great idea. Show the maids what they could be when they act properly. I gaurentee they will be inspired by our maiko," she said nodding her head.

When you all took classes, did you have similar teachers? I know some became geisa and maiko before others but did a teacher stay long enough to see more than one generation or age of maiko become geisha?

Yuri blushed at Aki-chan's question... " I actually was in Momoko-san's tea ceremony class before and I was also IN the dancing class that Tora-san took over for a bit. " she sighed this time grabbing a mochi cake from the center of the table.
" Becoming a geisha is such hard work. It takes lots of patience." She smiled.

Ariku nodded at Yuri's statement, then looked to Aki.
"I believe most of my teachers taught more than one generation, Tora-chan was a teacher when I was a maiko. So, she will be seeing another generation of maiko once the school opens again," she said smiling, thinking about the school.
She sipped her tea.

I bet that the teacers were so happy when they saw that they helped a maiko become a geisha and succed!
I didn't know that Tora-chan taught classes. That is so cool!
I understand what you mean about patience ^-^, it does take a lot but it is weel worth it don't you think?

Ariku smiled.
"Indeed. It must be an amazing feeling. I hope to feel it one day. Since I get to teach dance, when the school opens," she said looking into her tea cup. "It has always been what I was best at."
She laughed and sipped her tea.
"What classes do you think you are going to take Aki-chan?"
