Old Man KB
KB's immunities mean nothing in a point-based tournament like this where... my writing reflects my success, not KB's ability to KO a whole range of fighters.

Not that he even has that many immunities.

You can't defeat me, KB. And you know it.

I used "immunity" as an example, since it's obvious why having a bunch of th--

Oh. KB does have immunities. That was unexpectedly appropriate.

Old Man KB
If I ( Or Iden, to be fair ) win they want me to nerf several aspects of my character, which I've agreed to do because... well, I just like fighting.

That being said, the argument you guys are using is incredibly lame. You accused me of minmaxing, basically saying I'm a cheater for expecting people to know to use sunlight, garlic, and silver against a vampire. You actually told me in Vent, with what I assumed was seriousness, that a majority of people won't know these vampire weaknesses and how to use them.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to make fun of you guys whether I rewrite or not, when you're saying crazy-a** s**t like that. xd

People just b***h because they're too stupid to win and you're clever enough to exploit their stupidity.

Kinda how my first round went.

World Of Warcraft has a huge number of quests like this... One quest in the new "Grizzly Hills" zone called "Take their rear!" has you literally collect eight bear asses. This is made all the more infuriating by the fact that apparently only one in ten bears has an a**, even though it is clearly visible right there on the model.

Regardless of whether or not the competition is based on writing (which is, of course, half right - anyone who isn't a ******** moron realizes that it's still a competition of people making moves and counter moves, whether it's writing or chess) doesn't mean that a character's immunities, abilities, or ect "mean nothing."

If I play a knight in full armor with a sword, and you play a retarded, paraplegic ten year old, my character should probably end up murdering yours several times over. No matter how well you write, you still lose. If your characters is knocked unconscious, it's game over - you can't trump a character getting beatdown with pretty writing; it makes no sense.

So, in the end, whether or not the playing field is level DOES matter. If anyone doesn't agree, feel free to play a geriatric cripple in a wheel-chair with no powers or equipment and see if you can "outwrite" having your character getting the tar beat out of them like a punching bag.

Won't happen - can't happen. What happens IC is always most important. Creativity and so forth really come into play when 1. one person is being a jack off or 2. the fight is even enough in control and dominance that you have to choose a winner based on other criteria.

Of course, KB's getting in with an OP profile isn't necessarily his fault, either, so I'm not pointing this post expressly at him, I'm just making a point from something he said.

Krausse, Krausse, Krausse.

If I had the choice between sex and the OOC Thread, do you really think I'd be posting here right now?

Or at all?

Mr. Satan won through sheer circumstance. I think he actually won because he got byes since all the Z Warriors were off doing IMPORTANT s**t right when they were starting to advance.

So he's just a lucky son of a b***h.
