With all of his required courses for the Academy completed, Rhaim could turn his attention to training himself in the fashion that he felt would be most rewarding for him. He felt a slight bit bad for just leaving the small girl again without much help, though he couldn't figure out why since he didn't even know her name. Not wanting to think too much about someone else since that was in no way going to aide him in his own training the young Nara made his way back to the river that he had previously swam across. To his suprise he found that the water was actually quite rough a little ways up from where he had originally trainined. This time however that was fine since he was here to train himself on water walking rather than on swimming. The rough water wasn't however enough of a challange and he knew it, so without any hesitation he tied his red handkerchief around his eyes instead of his mouth and nose. Rhaim didn't intend to look cocky as he stepped out onto the water, however he knew that his chakra control was exceptionally high.

Rhaim had apparently not taken into account his surrounding very well when he put on the blindfold. For as he placed his foot down to stand upon the water he found only dirt underneath his foot. He had been much further back from the water than he had thought and had failed at the technique even before he had truly begun. If this was a sign of things to come then he was in for a long uncomfortable road to learning how to walk on water. However the young Nara was still very confident that once he actually got out onto the water that he would have little to no trouble at all. All he needed to do was keep himself focused and allow all the experience that he had aquired, on what was still his first day of the Academy, to guide him onward. With a slight crack of the neck Rhaim pushed himself forward again, determined to make just as much progress as the small girl was making back with Conan and the rest.

Rhaim had finally actually stepped out onto the water and was really beginning his water walking training. Just as he had assumed, it was a rather simple task to undertake despite him being blindfolded and on rough water. None the less he had to actually go through the training just so he would have the mechanics down in case he had to use this in a real world situation. The young Nara focused on the gentle push of chakra at the soles of his feet, in a completely consant motion regardless of what the water was acting like. He didn't have to be a genius to figure out how all that worked, it just seemed like simple enough logic. If he tried to speciffically match each step to each area of liquid then he'd always have to be watching his feet. With the blindfold on he had no choice but to keep himself honest with his chakra usage.

Rhaim continued to walk along the rough water of the river blindfolded as he kept the majority of his chakra concentrated towards his feet. With every step that the young Nara took he was able to tell that he was not going to have any problems with this training and that fighting the boredom would be the hardest part. He sort of wished for a moment that he had Conan's ability to simply lose track of what he was doing, however he wasn't so sure that that was really such a good idea. After all, by the sound of his excuses every time Conan was daydreaming about some rather weird things. And Rhaim had no time to be daydreaming about how much more comfortable and happy he'd be if he could just be allowed to swing in a low tree branch all day long.

Rhaim was already half way through and yet it still felt to the young boy that he would pass out and sleep on the water from boredom. He really was starting to get anxious about his next training assignment since it would be much more involved and much more active. As it was he was walking around on water with just as much ease as he had walked up the tree and he was doing it alone. Suddenly stopped by the realization that he was actually looking forward to the next time he got to train with someone he instantly tried to think about who it was that he could train with. Though he seemed to work well enough with Conan, that Ion was certainly much too talkative for him to be around for long periods of time. The Uchiha seemed like the next prime canidate since he was both stronger and more experienced than the Nara. However the Uchiha didn't exactly seem to enjoy being around others as much as Rhaim did.

Rhaim ran through the mental list of the few other Academy students that he actually had interacted with, trying to figure out which ones would most likely be willing to put up with him and his personality. The consideration that perhaps he should think about what he wanted in a friend and who specifically he'd like to spend time with never actually crossed his mind. After all, the young Nara boy was a follower and not a leader by any means. The splash of the water around him was beginning to soak through the bottoms of his pant legs and into his shoes, however he still walked about the top of the water as if it were solid ground or the side of a tree. Soon enough he'd be able to say that whatever he was doing was as simple as walking on water. Rhaim was actually slightly amused by the irony of his little self made joke.

Rhaim found himself nearing the end of his time training without even being completely aware of it. He figured that this last portion of truly learning how to water walk would be to simply re-orient himself towards land and then step off of the water and onto dry land again. Though the walking on water part had been almost as easy as walking on land, the young Nara boy did actually find that even through the thin layer of chakra he could tell the difference between land and water. Though a minor detail it was one that he was sure would come in handy at some point in time with some sort of training or real world incident. He tilted his head back down and kept his hands in his pockets as he marched across the rough water of the river, still blindfolded. There was nothing to be read as far as emoton as the young boys face as his mouth made no movement towards smile or frown.

Finally making her way through the trees young Tenma looked out at the beautiful Konoha River. The waters were always a heaving disposition of aggression, but it almost appearred timid this particular morning. Checking her scroll once again she confirmed the task was, simply, to swim across. Given her background the shinobi doubted this would be a difficult task. Conversely, the river that she had always swam in back home was never this strong or wild unless it was storming outside. After taking in the scene the child set down her pack and pulled off her sweatshirt so she could swim accordingly.

Revealing the swimming suit she had beneath her clothes Tenma knotted her hair up so it would stay out of her eyes while she was in the water. With her toes being tickled by the rushing fluid she closed her eyes, took in a deep breath, and jumped into the welcoming cold.
