There are approximately 32 different story skeletons, so yeah they get repeated all the time. But I think that because of personal perception we can still achieve creativity quite often, if one were to just bend the rules and think outside of the box and whatnot.
Call me an optimist, but I don't feel like originality is quite dead yet.

It's no big. I prefer things done right. If you are happy with the character you finally give to me, then I'm cool with it too in most cases (I won't have world destroying characters lol).
Let's see....I'll make a post....do some reading...perhaps I should read first....maybe make another post...read some more...play games...master plan right there 4laugh

What I enjoy most are the names that people use. Other than techniques, powers or skills the names are what are most appealing. Like yours Wicked. Aeora's..uhm.. *Too lazy to look back at the name* Videre.. I'm not sure if you picked that off something or it came clear out of your hand. It's not English, that I know, or could be another language.
And my character isn't world-destroying but chaotic when it comes to powers. His Chaos Bursts leave wasteland that can resemble a charred Hell in his final burst in, at max a mile diameter. The least that I do is make it so that he suffers damage to. The dragon that he protrude from his arm burned at his skin and feasts on his aura in the same. His Chaos Bursts could very well kill him too.. I won't go into detail because I just spoil things.

Names are some of the things that annoy me. A lot of orient culture fans on gaia, so I see a lot of foriegn names for characters that are english by all other counts...I feel a name should match a character. A foreign name needs a fairly exotic character to go with it. I'm a bit guilty....menace isn't all that menacing...of course he hasn't fought for real all that much either...
I've noticed something: there is a happy medium when it comes to the number of syllables in a name. Going over or under that sweet spot tends to be a good predictor of negative things in the character/rp'er lol.

All except for Dier (Dutch for "animal") and the latest, Avere (Italian for "possess".) Videre is Danish for "further" so that one doesn't match with the ability as well as the others. Onde selv is Danish for "demon". I had fun looking them up.

To Wicked: Impressive. How long did it take you, just out of curiosity and so not to suddenly brush you aside with a mere 'Impressive'.
To Nova: Names are names, in my opinion. In example, the name 'Dark'. Many people always see it if you're called that you're 'evil' and such, but in my case it's more of a neutral side. How don't ask? And the name Ryo stands for 'Dragon' and 'Suke' means 'to help'. To be honest I just looked those two up.
I always knew that they meant something but I never bothered to look it up now since I forgot. Now that I look at the name it kind of fits me...sort of. *shrugs* Dark is mainly neutral for the most part but tends to play a good part.
But what do you mean by the syllables?

Miri is one of my new favorite names. It is Hebrew and means Sea of bitterness. It fit the character pretty well.

The loss of one's child would leave one bitter so it does fit. I read her profile but already forgot. I'll probably have to re-read it to get to know her a little better.

I think of The Prince of Egypt. Miriam was Moses' sister and she actually does seem bitter. Miri is just a diminutive form of Miriam.

Not very long, Dark. I started with words that were most similar to what it would be representing, and if that didn't sound appropriate I went to gradually different words. So like fifteen minutes for all of them.
I just liked how Aeora sounded, ha. Its spelling fit in the style of words I had chosen for her abilities and species, and sounded pretty close to what personality I intended for her.

Aeora reminds me of wind. Could be because of 'Aero'. Kind of similar if you play puzzle.

I heard a rumour they where re-doing bringing out a new series of that show...but with a twist >.> A messed up twist <.<
Instead of him being a bully and a scoundrel he is to be good and nice to people v.v such a shame X3
As for Kimi's name it was a whim basically. I just thought the name would suit her o.e Well its basic meaning is 'she who is without equal' huh...mmk I guess
