((I'm sorry about everything, this was a misunderstanding on my part.))
Syn stood for a moment, then realization hit her and she slapped her forehead. Mumbling curses to and at herself, she turned on her heel and fled the main deck, heading back to the galley. On the way she dropped off the letter in her room. Tuslo squawked and clung to her shoulder as she ran as fast as she could. Oh, was she ever going to be in trouble if Jaden got back before she made it back down to the Galley.

His mannerisms were the same, but she could not be sure. She had never seen her captain flustered, even in the worst storms his head was calm and his voice strong, barking out orders.
"Yes, my name is like the disease known across the seas, but here it takes a different meaning. As for my captain..."
Looking up benieth her long eyelashes, she smiled at him, "...Sir, he was only the finest captain to sail the Lady Washington. I had the great pleasure of serving under him as first mate when I was much younger. He had faith in me though."
Pausing to collect herself, she looked into his eyes. "I would know where the Captain Kurisutofa has departed to or if he is still aboard the ship I would resquest to see him as is convienient."
Her nervous hands spread away wrinkles in her skirt and went to her throat, caressing the locket that lay there.

"M... Midnight? Is that.. is it you?"
*With shock & awe, he lost his footing (& his hat) and stumbled, but quickly regained himself. As his hat rolled across the ground it came to a stop a short distance away. It couldn't be. Under all that outter beauty, under all that high-class society outter demenor... was his lost lass, Miss Midnight Oasis.*
"In all the time that my voyages and adventures have taken me to all parts of the world, never in the tradewinds of the seven seas did I ever think I'd see you again, my dear Midnight."
*A foolish grin swept away the dumbstruck look that had once occupied his face. With a sweeping motion, Captain Kurisutofa stooped down, grabbed her around the waist and spun her around in a kind of over-joyous waltz.
Putting her down, he looked at her and shook his head in disbelief.*
"Is it really you? But how? What brings you to Toulon?"

The Doctor snapped his head back violently as he awakened from his doze; his head cracked off of one of the rails. Slowy standing up, he grabbed the back of his head, which now screamed with pain. Baxter winced at the pain. He did not intend to fall asleep on the deck, nor did he know how long he'd been out. His laziness had either gone unnoticed or ignored. Preferably the former, probably the latter.
"I need something to do," Baxter thought to himself. "If all I'm going to do is stand around or sleep, then I might as well go below... wait a minute, what a splendid idea. I have books. I've read them all multiple times, but I have them nonetheless." With that he proceeded to go below to retrieve some reading material.

Baxter emerged from below once more. He then took a seat on the steps that seperated the quarterdeck from the rest of the deck and began to read the book he had brought with him.

With shock she was picked up and twirlled around, his arms tight around her waist.
"It is you," emotion closed her throat and she thought her heart would burst, "no one has called me that in a long time." Reclaiming her parisol cast aside and straightening her skirt, she gave herself some time to collect her thoughts.
"I thought I would never see you again, Captain." The word rolled off her tongue and passed her lips in a way so familiar and yet, so far away. Her hand went to her throat to the locket that had kept his picture close to her heart these many years.
"It is a long story best told over spirits to how I came to Toulon. Perhaps later tonight, if you wish? We may sup where you are most comfortable, but I would be no true lady if I did not invite you to my manse to dine with me. Your crew is invited too if their duties can be forgotten for a night."
Hoping her offer pleased the captain, she anxiously awaited his reply.

"Splendid! Capitol Idea. On behalf of the Crew & Myself, I highly accept your invitation, Midnight... or should I say Melaria. Shall we plan for 6 bells? Oh, terribley sorry... 6:30 tonight. I shall dress in my finest"
*Looking down at his attire*
"Well, maybe what I'm wearing now, but let's not get into that. I'd go on for days. For now, I and the Guncrew must away to the Naval Yard. We are outfitting our fair 'Lady' with new armorments. I shall explain my placement strategys at the dinner table if you'll allow me..."

Smiling most graciously, she nods. "You have not changed one bit Captain. Shall we say meet here at 6? It will be easier then tromping about in the jungle trying to find my home and I am most glad to lead you 't' it."
Satisfied with the arrangements she excuses herself and slowly dissapears into the jungle folliage, making a hasty retreat to plan tonights engagement.

The girl smiled faintly at her Gradnfather's delight in seeing another one of the older crew members who had disappeared over the course of The Lady's voyages across the seas. Slipping her hands back to rest them against her lower back, her thumbs curling around her hips just a bit, she would slowly approach her Grandfather, stepping up beside him and watching as Miss Melaria left to go prepare for the future engagement of the crew. The tip of her nose wrinkled a bit as her smile faded to a light cruve upon her lips, her eyes staring forward, not yet gazing upon his form as she tipped her head down, looking down at the hem of her skirt as the wind blew it from side to side every so often.
"So, now we have an engagement with Miss Melaria to uphold. And with how you look right now, I believe you could use a good scrubbing, a good comb-down of your hair, and your clothing could probably due with a good washing, don't you think?"
She asked lightly, her voice not much higher than a whisper as she eventually rose her gaze up to the face of the man which she looked up to. A slight playfully rosey complection formed along her cheeks as she tipped her head to the side, several loose strands of raven hair tickling her cheek with their tips as her fingers began to press down against her flesh softly. The tips of her nails formed shallow indentations upon the pale, relatively smooth skin as she turned on her heel, the front of her body now facing the side of his as she awaited his answer. This was the first time in.. Well.. Ages, since she really had time to speak with him.

Syn followed Jaden up onto the main deck, Tuslo securely attached to her shoulder via claws in cloth. She held another thermos of lemonade and the other satchel Destiny had wrapped up for them tightly in her hands. She didn't quite know which way she was supposed to, so she stayed in Jaden's shadow for the most part, besides taking in and memorizing every twist and turn they went. Upon getting actually onto the deck, she looked it over once more, gray eye staring first up at the masts, sails, then down to the rest and the occupants of the ship that were there. She could hear the quiet creaking of the ship and the breeze tugging at the sails, almost hearing voices in the wind.
She threw a glance to the side and noticed Maleria, the woman she had seen on the shore, talking with the captain and then leaving. The side of her mouth twisted up into an odd smile, the short girl never ceasing to find the behavior of normal women and men when they were together a source of amusement. She, on the other hand, was aware that a short, scruffy thing like her wasn't exactly appealing to men. It had its upside, of course; she could go into bars or do things similar to that without having to worry about being violated. At the same time it felt strange... lonely? She didn't know.
She quickly shook off her thoughts and returned her focus to Jaden, concentrating far too much focus on not spilling or dropping. She could've carried them in her sleep, but she needed something to fix her mind on.

*Watching as the former Miss Midnight disappeared into the forest. He took it to be the general direction her home. She must be living in quite the splendure... but she deserved it after the hard life she'd gone through.
Feeling a presence at his side, he hears what his grandaughter had to say and he looks himself over and pats the dust off his heavey coat.*
"I've recently washed, yet by god, your right! I'm in need of a proper attire. I wonder if there might be a taylor about town?"
*Take his hat off his head, he runs the wide brim through his hands and watched as his finger played in and out of one of the three holes that formed the community that had begun to make berth upon his head.*
"This old uniform... it's seen better days, hasn't it? Well, to the wardrobe I go. But first... the Guns."
*Waving the men forward, he presses on down the short amount of path that still laid beyond the ship's company and the navalyard.*

Making her way through the overgrown path, she opened her parisol to part the leaves and prickly bushes that threatened to tear her dress. The jungle vines hung down, draping her in fine greenery as butterflies nestled among small tangles in her hair. While her life had taken a drastic turn, she still felt her heart beating wildly when surrounded by thick jungle. It had nearly burst when she had been close to the sea and she could feel the longing starting to return.
Forcing those emotions back into the box she had placed them in, she shook her curls to dislodge the creatures and dusted the vines off her shoulders. The path slowly became wider and manicured and the dirt under her feet slowly turned to small chips of fresh smelling wood. The jungle had been taimed enough for a horse and carriage to drive through and the path was cleared of fallen branches and debris.
After a time the path dumped out upon fenced, manicured lawns with the path leading up to a grand house. A man waited for her at the gait, feeding a peice of wild fruit to a sandy pallimino horse. His hands and arms looked like rough, tan leather, but his face was kind and smiled upon spotting her. Reaching out for her parisol, she let him take it. Offering his arm she accepted the guesture and allowed herself to be lead towards the house. The man shifted the parisol to shade her face as they walked and he whistled a familiar tune, his arm felt like the midday sun and was smooth under her fingers. She watched as he wet his lips and then puckered them, a shrill tune escaping between his two front teeth and passing over his lips. The breeze accompanied them to the house, blowing her hair and huring her along to her duties to prepare a meal for the crew.
"We have visitors who will be accompanying us for dinner. At least a crews worth, maybe more. I will need you to let the cook know and rouse the maids from their wings."
He nodded, pausing his whistling to listen to her.
"A dear friend of mine will be with the crew and I want him to have the utmost comfort imaginable while here."
Nodding again, he ushered her through an arched entry made of stone and plaster into an airy courtyard. Tiny trees and geometric flower beds decorated the sides of paths leading from different doors to the center of the yard where a small fountain flowed. The sound of water always calmed her and she left him to sit at the edge and dip her fingers in the pool.
She could hear him faintly whistling as he went to carry out her requests. Sighing she looked at her own reflection in the pool, but all she could see were two grey eyes stairing back at her.

*Leaning against the mast, he looks over the crew trying to think of something to do. Despite the fact that he knows there's something to do he can't seem to think of it.*
