It's a great start. Indeed some of it is a different side of Virtra I don't think anyone has seen at all; though I should assume she'll become more evil, no? I especially like the character of Yolani. She is looking to be a good nanny character even though Virtra already lost Mehlah. Still, I can't but read her lines without a British accent, is that weird?

Damn book shops! their one day student 40% off sale was today and they didnt have the first Republic commando book... I got the ones they did have, figuring I could get the others later, but damn its annoying when I get a book and cant read it!
I'll just continue with all my other books that I need to read.

I envisioned Yolani with a Cockney accent so you're not too far off Honh. I wanted her to sound like a elderly british marm... and it seemed to come off well. She has a gutteral tone and a deep bellowing laugh. She's a jolly, escentric, rotund woman that's extremely maternal. I don't know if she'll be in the story anymore (she is side mentioned up to this point) because Virtra isn't really the friendly chat type person. Yolani was there to inform her about the rise to power and it showed her what predecessors did. It was her way of learning their mistakes and she no won't make them.

Marriage is so arcaic... giving the woman to the man... might as well say free girl with every large family deal. stare not my style... makes me cringe thinking about being saddled with a single relationship my whole life. Hell... I could stay with a guy that long but the moment he asked me to belong to him and only him... I think it would have to be over. Nope, can't ever do it. It would be over. *shudders*

Awww, does that mean you wont marry me Sarai? crying SPOILER FOR THE NEW BOOK INCLUDED BELOW! On Dante's earlier note; True Colors belongs to me, muhahahahahaha! Two hundred and seven pages through and loving it, I'm a big fan of the Mando culture and it was interesting to read about the meaning behind the color of their armor... adds depth to the mysterious people!

Unlimited power? How can I say no!? Sorry Triskal, a guy's got to go with the cra-I mean eccentric woman who wields all the power and is offering it as a dowery. It's in a rulebook somewhere...
