*Luke fades into the Brink at the bar. He is staring forward intently, dressed in a pressed suit and tie. He has a notepad and pen in his hand.*
*He realizes he is in the Brink, and he shakes himself out of his concentration.*

:::Cora walks into the main room from the hallway leading from the guest rooms. She is wearing her civilian clothing again. (Because she has not left since the last time she'd seen Luke)
Her previous conversation with Tavin is still fresh on her mind...and so is the incident with her cybernetic arm. She approaches Luke, but it is obvious that she's forcing the smile:::

*Luke had just disappeared from his law class. A relatively intelligent guy, he felt little anxiety about grades. But, some the new information being dispensed to him now - left his head swimming.*
Grateful. *He says without explanation.*
*He looks to Cora...He doesn't notice the forced smile.* How bout you? *To his merit, he does notice that she once again came from the guest rooms.* Don't you ever leave this place?

:::She shrugged her shoulders::: I feel as though it has only been half a day since I saw you last.
:::Her shoulders straighten and her tone lowers along with her expression::: But in that short time, I have had a very important conversation with the Captain. Yes, he is speaking now, and he is capable of moving his limbs for some period of time prior to exhaustion. He still has some recouperating to do.
Anyway, he told me that his injuries were caused by the Seraphim, as suspected. The extent of them were due to the fact that he went after the Seraphim on his territory, and as a result, he had the defending advantage. The Captain was suspicious of Seraphim going after Maggie's son, that is why he went to fight the way he did.
I spoke to the Captain about what we can do to stop the Seraphim. He told me that the only way he would be defeatable is if he were to come here, and thus gain an offensive disadvantage, and only if we were ourselves capable of fighting him. He mentioned abilities inherent to the Brink that we can develope with practice. He has yet to teach me what they are, though. We plan to do so when he recovers. Until then, we are informing everyone of all these things.

*Scuffling out into the main bar, Clare had the leather bound book tightly hugged to her chest. The look on her face being one of someone who had missed a few nights sleep. Which was partially true, last she had left in search of a room.. but found herself fading out just as the key turned in the door. Then to her dismay.. she faded back in, while in the process of heading in for the night, back in the real world.*

*Blinking Clare sleepily shifted, while paused at the edge of the room. A wary yawn advising her to wander back down the hall in seek of a nap for the time being. Peeking above the dark green binding, she smiled at the two in the room, just about to quietly turn back into the hall in search of that highly advised nap..*
"Nothing a little rest won't cure, yourselves?"

I know that you are a student civilian in your time, you may not understand. But this is a battle, sacrifices are not unexpected. It would be a miracle if no harm was dealt during the fight.
In a way, I am sorry that those who do not wish to fight, must...but, from my understanding, if the Seraphim were to gain control of the Brink, he would then gain access to the door there, and all of our keys as well, not to mention all of our times, and who knows what else he can do from a place like this.
