Heh. Paying to have someone EV train for you, is kinda funny me thinks. =)
I think I'll learn the hard way, by accepting my failures. 3nodding

EV training is simple for me now. A friend of mine traded me a Pkmn that had the PokeRus (idk how he managed to get it).

And... yeeeah. It's a breeze now.

Grrr....Sunny stare
When you wake later on, you wont have legs to walk on!
scream

Yea, well I think my only issue is remember the points gained. sweatdrop
How exactly do keep count of that again?
I know its like..2 defense per geodude? or some crap. plus the defense item thing makes it 4 I think per geodude.
So how exactly do I know when to stop?
I just divide 255 by 4? And thats the number of geo's I have to battle before I stop right?

I normally wait until I've caught all of the Legendaries before transferring everything into the main cartridge; I'm playing through Platinum so I can get the levitating Giratina and Cresselia.

Oh, and Geodude gives out 1 Defense point. With the item, it gives 2.
So, you just need to divide 255 by 2 and you get the number of Geodudes you gotta massacre.

I find out when a stat is maxed out whenever I don't get big stat bonuses upon leveling up (Like I get +2 instead of getting like +6 when I'm still EV training on one stat. That would mean that it's maxed out).

You normally get bigger stat bonuses whenever you level, because it takes more time to gain the experience needed when you're a higher level.

And with the Pokerus, it doubles the EV points you get. So, Geodude gives 1. You got the item that doubles it, and with the Pokerus, it doubles again.

so, 1 (the EV point that Geo gives) x 2 (the item) x 2 (Pokerus) = 4 (Total EV points you get)

This is what I do.

I look for locations where I get alot of Pokemon that give me two EV's for each pokemon.

Stat: Defense.
Game: SS
Training location: Route 45
Pokemon: Graveler (2 Def) Skarmory (2 Def) Geodude (1 Def)
Avoid: Teddiursa

Okay, I have Pokerus and the Power Belt. Now I give 10 Irons to the pokemon being trained. And 10 of whatever other stat that needs the boost. That's minus 200 ev's from the 510 limit. there's 310 left. 310/2 = 155/4 = 38.75

So each Graveler gives me 2 EV's with the Power Belt, 4 Ev's with PKRS, 8 Ev's. So I divide 155/8 = roughly 20. Then I take a piece of paper and a pencil and every time I run into a Graveler, I tally one. Until I reach 20. If I ko a Geodude, I put half a line. And make sure I even it out by finding another Geodude.
