Wantcookie Pride Parades and the like are often kinda weird. It's honestly easier to learn more about it all online. Thank you for responding I was getting nervous. I hate to say it but I am kinda afraid to go to that because all of the really flamboyant people. It is like "If I am gonna respect your lifestyle I demand some respect towards my lifestyle ya dig?". Then again I don't know enough gay people in person closely enough to warrant me studying it too much. It's really none of my business anyway.

Though if given the chance I would totally get up there in a rainbow speedo and poledance, so whatever. xd Of course, that's more out of a sense of fun than any sort of pride. xd

To me it seems a lot of these Pride Parades set the homosexual stereotype even more into stone. Honestly, one parade and a good chunk of the participants seem to forget that they are trying to GET respect every time they do one of these. -_-
They do play okay music though. o.o

That's just it. I don't like it when people legitimately stereotype gays, without trying to be funny. These parades only apparently serve to solidify these stereotypes.

I am ashamed of my group too. I try not to associate with them too much because they like to embarrass themselves. Actually I think that goes for our species as a whole.

The gay people I went to school with all enforced the stereotypes. Sickened me really, cause they'd get offended when someone called them a f** or something. I really couldn't stick up for it, even though I knew it was wrong; it was like they were asking for it. Like they were acting gay/being gay for shock entertainment or something. :/ Like they didn't care what the whole LGBT rights movement was all about.
That and I was the shyest thing since, I dunno, Snorunt.

I never really thought Gay Pride parades were about getting respect, I always though it was just about letting people be who they are and having fun. Yeah, they are obnoxious but it seems like it would be a fun time. I would like to attend one.
Anyway, off to bed. Good night everyone.

Don't worry Cookie, I wouldn't bat an eye at you saying your bi. A guy in my group looks like the most tweaked out redneck ever (always has stubble, missing a tooth, tatty old jacket) and he's bi.
I've learned that a person's outside appearance means NOTHING.

Wantcookie Your group? What supposedly persecuted demographic are you a part of? Well I meant my friends not me personally. They like to think they are part of the freak group or whatever all wear the chained pants and the piercings and s**t like that. It is like "nobody would know you liked the bands and s**t you like if you didn't wear the goddamned band shirts, don't act persecuted." I don't let people in real life know I am part of any group so I never get persecuted. Oh and furries, they act persecuted and embarrass themselves and act like idiots all the time. I am starting to think I am not even a furry and I like things that are simply not human more, also I kinda hate animals too. I wish the chozo would come pick me up. A race of scientists who travel and learn and are one with the nature on the planets they go to? It's so beautiful XD

It is probably the stress and lack of sleep driving me slowly insane. xd
