The man said as he disappeared.
He saw Kagome and ran up to her.
"Stay away from dark places. Please. And thank you. I wish I could stay and protect you, but I've got at least five people on my hands. That man I fought talked to Cain, a man who works for someone you know so well, and she is connected to Naraku, who is apparently connected to that dark man, because there was an insect around here. And Abel. Brother of Cain. Cain is a murderer. Watch out." He was about to jump, but he stopped himself.
"Do you want to come along?" He asked.

Kagome: 'Yes! I want to come with you! Just say it!' Kagome thought to herself. But the words didn't come. She just got onto Inuyasha's back in silence. "But... what about the others?" Kagome pondered out loud. She looked back towards them and frowned. 'This isn't what it was supposed to be like. We are supposed to be sticking together... not splitting up! Why do we keep splitting up!? There is no possible way that we can defeat Naraku without all of us together!' She thought again. Her head was spinning, everything was so confusing and she didn't know what to think. She wanted to stay and be with Inuyasha, but what of her friends?
