"Awww! Thanks, Shin-chan! You're such a sweetie~"

And she kissed the Hyouton bearer once, on each cheek.

It would've been funny to any other bystander...Shinratsu's pale skin impossibly crimsoned and a furious flush stained his porcelain features. Laughing, the elvish child just ignored the Fubuki prince's predicament and skipped in without further invitation. Only eleven springs of age, yet an enchantress through and through. She stopped, turning just very slightly so, so that the breeze whipped at the midnight-blue locks framing her face. Her long bangs from this angle seemed to veil her expression, only a teasing smile dancing on her lips.

"Oh...and Shin-chan, don't overwork yourself ok?" A soft pause. "Unless you happen to really like hospitals!" And laughing again, she motioned for Hashirama to follow before turning the corner.

Meanwhile, Shikamori snapped awake at his Sensei's call. "Huh? Is that a ghost...?" He mumbled. Apparently, the Nara seemed to believe that Yokou (judging by the furious state she was in when she gave chase to her Senju target) would've definitely...well... One should just say, judging by the fact that Kusanagi was out when she strode off...one would expect some...ahem...injuries... But it seemed that Zephyr had somehow managed to come out...

His gaze settled on the child that the Hokage was carrying. "..." Ah. So he sees. Zephyr WAS in his child Henge form...so what better way to garner sympathy against the 'evil oni lady'...? "Oh. So you're back..." He drawled out, instead. And nodding curtly at Sakeme, he greeted the girl too: "And good evening to you, Sakeme-chan." A pause.

"But what are you doing out so late? Shouldn't you be resting up for the upcoming tournament (referring to the Chuunin Exams)?"

Marcus slowly came too as the commotion was over with. To be more honest, his perfect pillows were gone now and, much like a child whose cover had been snatched away, he awoke with a bit of a grump. His eyes were still blurred and his head blazed with pain as he stood there. The ANBU that had come to his aid bowed after he was released from her grasp.

Glancing back, Marcus just waved his hand a bit and looked to Yokou… why did it hurt so much anyway? Not his head, that was an obvious pain but… why did this rejection hurt? Sure, he had been rejected before in the past, hell, nearly caused international incidents on multiple occasions without even trying. There was even one time when he was fairly sure that he nearly caused and intergalactic incident with that one weird chick near The Village of Stars but that’s a story for another time.

He looked to Yokou for a moment and then glanced up to the rafters. Weather it was his fault or not, the Lady Hyuuga, still a guest of the village, had attacked their Kage. Considering Iwagakure and Konoha’s past, war’s had been started for less.

He waved his hand a bit, dismissing the ANBU. Like the true upperclass ninja they were, they would vanish just as quickly as they had appeared.

Marcus didn’t like this… the woman hated him and he had feelings for her. However he had never meet anyone that attracted him more than her and it was a grating experience… what was it about her? Maybe it was just his perversion and wanting to corrupt her… no that wasn’t it. There were genjutsu he could learn to do something like that.

Maybe it was her stiffness… yea… that made a bit more sense. He had been attracted to a certain other Hyuuga for similar reasons. Maybe this was something a bit deeper but at any rate, he knew he knew he had to learn… gain more knowledge about this whole situation. Speaking with the Hyuuga would probably just create a fight and there were far to many people here having fun to do something like that.

In a flash, Marcus was gone. He would appear in various places high up… he was searching for something… someone to be exact. From what he understood, there was no way in hell that the Hyuuga woman would come someplace this public without someone in her entourage being somewhere near.

Bullseye…Marcus had found what he needed. Slipping up behind him he would then look to the man known as the lord of the Senju and the one known as Shikamori.

Without much of a word he would kneel to the two. “Zephyr of the Senju. Shikamori of the Nara, I request your assistance with a personal matter. Will you hear me out?”

Shikamori seemed surprised that the Tsuchikage was here and then in the next moment... It was only there for the bare fraction of a section, but was that...resentment...no...jealousy...? But it disappeared so quickly that it seemed to be a mere trick of the light and a polite smile was on his face as he greeted the Tsuchikage with a curt bow.

"Good evening, Tsu-...!" Zephyr, standing next to Shikamori, had placed Sakeme back down to her feet and roughly elbowed the Nara's chest. So quickly that it appeared to be a swift blur of movement but the one hit knew better: it was about equivalent to getting hit by an tank. But the Nara proved stubborn on this matter, to the Senju's tacit reminder that Marcus had wished for less honorifics...or was this done on purpose for...another reason...?

"...-chikage-sama..."

His refusal to acknowledge the other to a less formal acquaintanceship after all...it was his refusal to acknowledge that perhaps, even the slightest chance...that one again, she wasn't meant for him...

There was no smoke, but Zephyr shifted back to his childish form. "Marcus~" Grinning, the child gave him a quick hug but then frowned, looking thoughtful... "Hunh...did you happen to have missed Yokou...? Awwww, after I worked so hard too..." Pouting slightly, large green-gold eyes fixed their steady gaze on the Tsuchikage's blue ones.

Concern flickered over those childish features, upon noticing the slight...he would say it was almost...sad...? Strange as it was to say of such, for someone as bright and happy as Marcus...that mixed with the present seriousness in his expression... A moment's breath, before the words left his lips. "I see..." His soft, childish voice was quiet...with a seriousness that reflected his true age. "So you have seen her." A soft pause, and a gentle smile. "I'm guessing this will concern Yokou right...?"

"Of course we'll help! Right Shika~" Beaming, the child turned to his Student...before green-gold eyes narrowed slightly and a slight frown settled over his cihldish features... Nara Shikamori had the most contemplative expression on his features...not his usual bored expression...there was just...

...there was just such a...lingering...yearning...

So. Even after all those years, the other's feelings had never changed...

"Shika. I really think..." A soft pause, as the Senju king's voice trailed off. Even though he himself was selfish...leaving Konoha for his own purposes and not considering any other person's feelings... But, that was a time in the past. And there was no other time that he had regretted more... "I have no right to say this...but I think, Shika...you should be more considerate of what Yuuko-hime wants..."

"Oh Zephyr-jiji!"

Upon hearing the cheerful voice in the distance, Zephyr groaned.

"Oh no..."

Elruda-hime snuck out here? That's not good! Then, his gaze settled on the other child accompanying the girl...no... The famous necklace of Shodaime was around the boy's neck...the same pendant that he had given to the child earlier in the day... There was no doubt. It was Hashirama...

The son he had abandoned, leaving his wife to her broken heart...

The family that he had never loved... An uncomfortable silence reigned.

Turning to Marcus, the girl grinned evilly. There was an uncomfortable gleam in her eye. "Oh...and good evening, ero-Marcus-jiji." Well. At least she deemed enough consideration to call him 'uncle'. But it seemed that was about as close as the Hyuuga princess deemed his relationship to her mother 'acceptable'. Turning to her newfound friend, she playfully pushed Hashirama forth.

"Rama-kun!! Didn't you want to say something to Zephyr-jiji? Oh..." A soft pause as she addressed the Taida again. "Marcus-jiji, this is Rama-kun." The child blinked, at Zephyr's uncomfortable expression. "Mn? Is something the matter, Zephyr-jiji? And okaa-san's not here...?"

Suddenly, Zephyr began to really regret insisting on attending the concert... The child cast a glance aside at Marcus, almost as if silently pleading...before gulping audibly, he answered Elruda.

"Ummm...not now, chiisai-hime...and well...see...I'll...speak to you and Rama-kun later........................."

Marcus wasn’t blind. The feelings that ran across the Nara’s face were painfully evident. He didn’t even know that the team mate had had just a deep longing for the woman… what a pain this was turning out to be. To come to her teammates and only bring them pain… Marcus now felt like a royal a** for even asking them…

The lights that ran through Shikimori’s eyes were akin to many things Marcus had seen in the past. With his looks and… lack of notice he had brought many relationships to an end or stopped them from ever occurring, most times just by being present. He couldn’t stand to do this again… least not to his guests…

Marcus stood for a moment and looked about… Several ANBU had appeared… but not those he recognized… these were special ANBU hand picked by the councel to keep tabs on him. He was the Kage after all… but still far from trusted by those of power. He wasn’t like the past Tsuchikages… far from it. He did what he pleased, ignored rules and regulations for his own fun and enjoyment. In short, he was probably the worst kage ever. And they were just looking for a good enough reason to get rid of his a** and he had probably just given it to them.

In short terms of Diplomacy, the ruler of one country NEVER bow’s to the ruler of another country. If it is a customary greeting as in some countries, then both leaders can bow together but for one to get on bended knee to another was a symbol of weakness, even a symbol of subservient surrender. As his eye’s met one of the ANBU, they would vanish. He’d hear of this later… he was sure of it.

Now he had two things to worry about… techniqually three. His feelings for Yokou were uncertain but they were there and new so they scared him at the same time that they enticed the living hell out of him. His want to keep peace between him and the guest of the village which could easily be violated if he pursued his first fear. And now… the council. Could it get any better?

Oh yes, the child. Yokou’s little girl. She was always a pleasant one, specially after finding out Marcus had feelings for Yokou and they might be returned. Marcus looked over to Elruda… and it dawned on him, “What’s a pipsqueak like you doing out at this time of night? You’re moms gonna kill you you know.”

He spoke that part in a pleasant enough tounge. He would then look to Zephyr and sigh a bit… something was bothering him… was it this new kid? Why the devil was a kid so big a deal to Zephyr anyway? “Ummm pleasure to meet you Rama…”

Marcus scanned his face for a long moment and then smiled his normal, vibrant smile. “Well, I’ve had enough of this shindig. You kids clean up for me would ya? I got stuff to go handle… like sleep. That’s always important.”

He began to walk off with one hand in his pocket. The other hand reached out and plucked the midget known as the Hokage from where he stood and slung him over his shoulder. “Come on kid, time for bed…”

"Hunh? Pipsqueak!?"

The Hyuuga princess scowled, before pointing at Marcus and then at herself. Except she jabbed herself a little too hard and winced visibly at the pain. But then, she went straight to proclaiming: "I'll grow taller just to spite you!" Sticking her tongue out at Marcus, she went to Sakeme's side, muttering: "Right Sa-chan...? Elda's gonna grow..."

So how come she seemed a bit unsure here? Somehow, she was vaguely reminded of how back when she lived in the compound, her mother's chiding tone when discovering that the child had dumped out the cup of milk she was supposed to drink every morning... Yes, Elruda hated diary products. All except for ice cream and yogurt, of course. But drinking milk (without the wonderful chocolate syrup) would be equivalent to swallowing poison in her book...

Yokou didn't understand the difference. The only thing that distinguished the only form of milk Elruda would drink was that chocolate syrup was added to the latter. '...going to get diabetes...' The Hyuuga matriarch had dryly commented.

...

The child had noticed too...she didn't like the masked men here...

Frowning, Elruda turned to Sakeme. "I don't like this..." Her voice was quiet. An uncertain expression was deigned to the present ANBU and then back at Marcus. It wasn't that she was afraid of their power...it was...just unsettling to her. She could almost feel such...distance...unfamiliarity... Maybe it was her growing proficiency in divination. But definitely doesn't seem to be ones of Marcus' own choice. She could guess very well too the why: the old geezers back at Konoha kept very close tabs on her otou-san, when he had been alive. To have so little trust in their own leader...

Even if Marcus-jiji was a little weird...

Yet so, even if she had refused to accept...that relationship...however, this was unforgiveable... The sacred role of a Kage to the village and its people. To live and die for them. Yet, yet...demanding a martyr, yet stabbing in the back like Judas? How...despicable.

Marcus-jiji is a person - not a puppet on chakra strings.

Zephyr mentally smacked himself for not realizing sooner.

This would be a problem. He dryly thought as multiple ANBU appeared. And judging from the slightest tensing...one that had not escaped him, because he saw how old man Rasen was around his 'so called guards'...the presence of the ones in this case wasn't exactly appreciated by Marcus either. Marcus may get landed in deep trouble with the geezers here...

If Moku had been around, his Assistant would surely smack him in the head for mentally addressing another country's Council of Elders as 'geezers'... But it was true!

Zephyr thought quickly. I would assist, for I am indebted... "I am - ..." But before he could finish, Marcus had already picked him up. The child sighed inwardly. There goes the chance to sway the Council's dogs to the wrong scent. But...inwardly, he was grateful too. Because...he wanted to help Marcus, not because of what the other had already done... But from a friend to a friend...

Though this was a bit tough to explain. There'll definitely be questions later. Hashirama would want to know why...on earth does he choose to remain in a child form most of the time. And then...there was that. Maybe there was the slightest chance that Hashirama didn't know...yet... After all, the last time he had this conversation with Shikamori, the younger Senju was unconscious. A sweatdrop appeared on Zephyr's head.

Dear okami-sama... He hoped it was the latter. It wasn't every day, after all, that one finds out that one's father prefers the appearance and act the carefree life of an eight-year-old...or the fact of the ageless problem concerning his eighteen-year-old self... And it isn't everyday one sees their father carried off like a little kid... His subconscious added with sarcastic amusement.

Zephyr scowled inwardly and squashed it.

But he was a very good actor. So rubbing his eyes, he easily pulled off the 'tired and wanting to go to sleep'...simple enough on his currently childish features... Rasen would be proud - not really, considering the former Hyuuga Kage was at the receiving end of that often...and then Zephyr would 'wake up' when the other left and sneak out anyways... Naturally, Rasen was furious upon discovery, but that was another story.

Marcus took the small kage to one of the buildings on the outskirts of the village. With the other side of the wall being a sheer cliff and perfect visual on the side he faced, Marcus knew they could speak in a bit of privacy. Of course, he didn’t know what the hell the ANBU were capable of and it was a seriously irritating situation to be sure.

Marcus would sit the boy Zephyr next to himself and sit there looking off into the distance of the city. There was a long silence between the two of them before Marcus would speak.

“Kinda strange a city full of rocks and dirt would be so pretty at night huh?” It was true. At night, iwagakure light up with all manors of lights and activity. Since many of the stones had several other stones or gems imbedded in it, the city seemed to sparkle with all the artificial light. “I’m pretty happy with my life… not the best one… I’ve made some bad choices but hell, its nice.”

Crossing his arms, he would lower his head a bit… “What about you? Why’d you want out of there?” a change of subjects… classic avoidance really.

Recrossing his arms the opposite way, he would glare up to the sky and smiles a bit. It was a sad one… even with all of his acting ability.. right now he didn’t want to smile… he knew how much trouble he was in not just with the council but with Yokou and probably his own female friends who had, somehow or another, woven themselves into the tapestry of the village.

One was now an ANBU, one was a librarian, one was starting her own business… and there was no telling what the last was doing… Either way he knew it’d come back to haunt him…

“Damn… I hate this job…”

Back at the concert… nothing good would be brewing to be sure. Several ANBU would begin to weave their way through the crowd… all heading towards the leader of the Hyuuga. These weren’t the friendly or joyful ones that normally hung around Marcus or the strange woman Ryoko… these were ANBU directly under the charge of the council… in other words, high powered lapdogs.

The leader, a man wearing a monkey face with a brown mark across his nose, would walk up behind the Hyuuga leader. “Lady Hyuuga…” his voice was dry but full of almost no respect what so every. The words may have been respectful but his tone obviously spoke other things.

“You have been called to speak with the High Councel about charges of your crimes against the State.... Would you please come peacefully with us?”

Easilly, there were about 5 ANBU in visible sight… but anyone with a brain would be able to tell that there were probably more along the lines of 10 or 15 hiding somewhere nearby in case things got…. Bad. Not a pleasant situation at all.

The small child just smiled, golden-green eyes tinkling. And the boy nodded, the night breeze gently combing through his hair. "At this time of the year, Konoha would usually have all its groves in full bloom..." A soft pause. "I been to many of the major villages with old man Rasen. I would say...each has its own kind of beauty. True..." He admitted. "It's a bit...well...weird getting used to seeing less vegetation...buuut..." The child looked up at the night sky and then off into the distant canyons. "The view is so much better here."

The child closed his eyes and sighed, softly. "I made...many mistakes in the past. There are things that if I could, I would give everything to wish for a change... But then, people can live regretting what wasn't done. 'If I had' wouldn't make a different now...but...I still..." His voice trailed off. "Maybe it's foolish to hope, but if I could..." The Hokage's expression was contemplative as he stared at his small hands. "No...not 'if I'...this time I will protect everything that's precious..." The small hands clenched and there was a flicker of hurt in the boy's expression. "Instead of running away again."

A soft pause, and the boy fixed calm green-gold orbs on Marcus. "Yet sometimes still I wonder..." And fear. Fear knowing that while he remained ageless to time, he would watch his beloved Students grow, grow older (hell, they already did than his present actual physical self)...and die, one by one the faces he knows disappearing...

All into blackness...

"...what would eternity be like...?"

"Cut the theatrics." Her tone was scoffing. Did he take her for an idiot, to not see through that? To the darkness, she snapped. "Come out. I don't need any doujutsu when I can simply feel your insolence." Turning her attention back to the leader apparent, Yokou made a gesture of impatience - a flick of the hand aside. "Well? Leading the way...or has the lapdog forgotten how to even walk on two legs?"

Sighing, Fubuki Shinratsu chugged down a small cup of water. After all that commotion, he had really gotten thirsty... However, something caught his attention...a blur of ANBU jumping over his gate. "Hey! There's a mission going on!!" He yelled indignantly, shaking his fist at the shinobi jumping and blurring out of sight overhead, trying to remind these new intruders-apparent that this is a mission Team Devil Burrito is on... Why does this always happen to him? However, he was curtly cut short by one among their ranks, who stopped only long enough to say 'High Council's Orders'...most probably to forward to his squad leader.

Shin blinked but did not attempt to stop them this time. After a long moment, then it hit him... Like holy s**t...why would the High Council be interested in here? Surely...it didn't... But either way, he'll have to report this. Shinratsu smacked his radio's 'talk' button and growled: "Giglamesh-sensei...several ANBU just went over my gate. Anyhow, I can't check the High Council's lapdogs' tickets, cause they already Shunshin-ed away..."

This was becoming out of bounds!! It wasn't his fault!

Or was it?

"Nara-sama!"

A Hyuuga woman blurred into sight, followed by a few other companions, revealed as soon as the smoke from the Shunshin dissipated. Pale eyes and long, pale-green hair. Ayame, the Ninjutsu mistress of the Hyuuga clan - the very same one who had tormented Zephyr not so long ago in the mad chase outside the village Academy. Beside her were gathered five of the adult members from the Hyuuga clan currently present in the village, along with an Inuzuka judging from the marks on his face and two members of the Hatsuchi family judging from the bows they wielded.

But why were they assembled?

He raised an eyebrow at her haste. "Geez, what's wrong with you...?"

"Yokou-sama was surrounded by the Iwa Council's private guards! Rei here..." And she gestured aside to the Inuzuka. "...has heard they have accused her of crimes against the state!"

Angry mutterings among the Hyuuga. "Should've never trusted Iwa to keep their word...plus that attempt on Lady Hyuuga's life before..."

Elruda jumped to her feet. "My mother, what?"

"Chiisai-hime, run! Hurry - go find Sensei and Tsuchikage-sama." Turning to Ayame, he snapped: "I'll get to you about the problem apparent (of spying) later... As for now, who else is near her?"

"There are members of our family and scions of Konoha mixed in with the crowd." She replied calmly. But her next retort was scornful. "Do you honestly think we would've let our guard down, here, in this place...?"

A dark glare settled on the Ninjutsu mistress. "Hurry up and take us there, then, Ayame." A pause. "Oh. And by the way..." He drew his lips back in a feral snarl. "'This place' happens to mean a lot to your matriarch." Without another word said, he joined one of the Hyuuga offering to take him on a side-along Shunshin so that he would be able to reach the correct part of the stadium.

Before she went along with them, Ayame took both Hashirama and Sakeme's hands before Shunshin-ing them along.

And oh, Shikamori didn't have to tell her to run. Run she did, past Shin without a word, jumping nimbly over the rooftops of the village. It was...inadequate to describe how upset she was at the moment. That jerk! She wasn't going to forgive him! "Byakugan." She gritted out angrily - it answered to her fury this time - no handseals - the familiar veins of the ancient doujutsu settling in place. Her father was already dead...there was nothing she could do about that. But she'll be damned if she lets sits idly and let a foreign village take her mother.

Her vision once again colorless, she scanned the village for any familiar chakra signatures. Zephyr particularly - having been with the Senju longer, it was easier for her to distinguish his familiar type of chakra. There was just something about the Senju clan's chakra...a halcyon quality, a lot similar to how Shinratsu's family had very dense chakras. Of course, one didn't need the Byakugan to recognize the feeling of chakra...that was merely something supplementary and taught in addition to chakra reading basics.

Marcus grinned a bit as he looked over to Zephyr, “One hell of a trip. Think of it like this, you’ll have the longest running Kageship in existence. You’ll be like a mini-celebrity or something. That or you could have the best porn collection in history. Either way is very nice.”

Marcus would begin to laugh heartily. He had brought the right person along with him to look into all of this and speak on these manors. Both of them had troubles and they would talk them out fairly calmly. It was nice to have someone this close. They were quick friends after all.

However… something still bothered Marcus… he expected that not that many ANBU would be able to come after him without being noticed but he didn’t detect any. None of the ANBU in the village were that good… he knew that for a fact… best not to ask.

He would look about for a moment and then cross his arms again… “Their not here… none of them… somethings not right…” He had no possible way of knowing what was underway within the tower of the kage.

Her eyes found the familiar comforting green chakra and immediately she took of to that direction in breakneck speed. Rooftop over rooftop, the village she passed by in a blur. When she finally reached the last one however, instead of dropping the Byakugan, she concentrated chakra to her fingers. Her pretty features were twisted with anger and allowing the fall of gravity to aid her, she jumped, stepping lightly onto the tiles of the rooftop and charged, palm outstretched clearly for the strike...

Vines shot forth from the ground, trapping her in place.

"Let me go!" She snarled, struggling.

"Hyuuga Elruda!!" Zephyr looked furious. "What in the seven echelons of hell do you think you are doing?"

"You should ask him!" She replied ferally, spatting venomously in Marcus' direction, struggling all the more harder against the vines. "Let go of me! How dare you use Mokouton on your own people!! Release me at once!"

"No way in hell. Have you lost your mind?" Snapped Zephyr. "Just what in Shodaime's name has gotten to you???"

"I said to ask HIM!" She screamed, such anger...hatred...betrayal...? Turbulent emotions burned in her pale violet eyes. "If they as so much touch okaa-san, even if I have to go rogue from Ame AND Konoha to do it, I won't forgive Iwa!!"

"ENOUGH." Snapped Zephyr. "How am I supposed to make out anything coherent if you insist on being so hostile?"

"THEY TOOK MUM!" Roared the girl, finally snapping. The Byakugan disappeared. "What did you EXPECT me to say, you stupid dense Senju - pretty words and a calm face to deliver the message??? How CAN I be calm!!! The only reason why I'm EVEN here instead of another one of the family playing the messenger is that they went to trail mother!!!" There were furious tears burning in her eyes though she refused to let them fall, as she struggled even more violently against the vines, her wrists becoming raw from the pain.

But she clearly didn't care.

"I hate you...mum is your student yet you always leave her every, single time...I hate both of you...I hate this place..." But the tears did fall... "Ayame-san was right...never, ever trust 'anyone outside'... I see so that was why..." A soft sob. "...fated to be born to that - with a barrier no other can cross..."

Zephyr sighed and slowly approached the sobbing girl. The vines parted gradually, returning under the ground. And gently embracing the taller child, he whispered: "Shhh...chiisai-hime...don't cry, it will be fine... Just a little misunderstanding I'm sure...your mother will be all right...she's a tough lady. Can you take us there...?"

"How am I supposed to know?" She retorted. "According to Rei-san, it was the frigging High Council that demanded to see her! I left as soon as Shikamori-jiji told me to run as quickly as I can...I don't know where Ayame-san took him..." Her expression steeled. "But I can and WILL find her."

Elsewhere, as the High Council's ANBU led Yokou in the direction to the Tower, the ones from Konoha carefully trailed the group. It was a simple matter, for those with too glaringly noticeable qualities like the Hyuuga clan to henge their eye color while the rest blended in with the civilians.

Marcus looked to the girl for a long moment and took a deep breath. Of course, her instant striking at him made him a bit disturbed but when she spoke, he understood completly what was going on. The council would see the girls strike on him as a direct means of war... even if he was the cause of it.

For simply being a man of a certain position, this woman would be struck with many a flaming words and possibly worse. As the Senju calmed the girl down, Marcus decided within an instant of what to do.

He looked to Elruda... "Little princesses... allow me the breath of life for a bit longer... so that I may fix a few of these wrongs..." and with that, he was off in a flash...

"Mar-..." Zephyr began, before wincing at a sudden sharp pain on his shoulder. "Ow! Chiisai-hime, don't bite me!" Panicking, he struggled to hold down the flailing girl yet at the same time not to injure her... "Chiisai-hime, calm down, calm down!"

Elruda wasn't listening. "You utter jerk!" She yelled into the distance, shaking her small fist, even though Marcus wasn't there anymore.

...

Eventually, the girl was out of energy...though Zephyr had to revert back to his teenage form to restrain her. And that wasn't even that...he only managed because the child was fatigued enough for a sleeping draught to be shoved down her throat. "Okami-sama..." He muttered. "Absolutely awful evening."

A succession of 'poofs' and when the smoke cleared, Zephyr found himself surrounded by a an embassy of kneeling shinobi.

"Shinrei-sama, Yokou-dono have went to the tower." Reported the Hyuuga woman known as Ayame. "There's ones of our own keeping a watch outside of the ongoing...we request if perhaps Hokage-sama could make haste and..."

Zephyr quickly weighted the advantages and disadvantages of the situation depending on which course of action was taken. A long silence before finally, he replied: "I would say not. Keep an eye you may, I doubt this would be necessary but interrupt only if she is attacked... But do not interfere." A moment's pause as Zephyr considered the worst possible scenario: just in case Marcus won't arrive in time or the Council refuses to be calmed.

Noticing the curious glances he got, he continued on. "Konoha may have deviated from the days of the Senju monarchy but Iwagakure no Sato have not. For all I am to understand, you will trouble Tsuchikage-sama and make the situation more difficult if you are to insist accompanying Yuuko-hime to the room."

Murmurings around the gathered.

"But my Lord..." She began again, protesting. "Surely you cannot expect us to leave our Lady's side..."

"I'm not expecting anything." Replied the Senju king, his voice quiet. "Though however, what I do know is Yokou can take care of herself. As for all we are to do right now, I would say wait, until the Iwa Council calls. That is all."

"But surely, Senju-sama! How can you be so sure that - ?" Protested one.

Another spoke up. "Hokage-sama...but...you never participated in formal diplomacy before! So...ah...how..."

"And what know you of diplomacy?" Retorted Zephyr, an elegant eyebrow arching. "Anyhow, my word's final on this. I been with the old man to many places, just trust me on this..."

A pause.

"Anyhow, where's Sakeme and Hashirama?"

Ayame sighed, biting back what she wanted to say. At length, she replied:

"At the stadium with Nara Shikamori-sama, Shinrei-dono..."

(Alright, so it wasn't until I finished typing up this entire thing that I noticed that everyone thinks Sakeme's wth Shikamori(because I wasn't given any time to post inbetween all of this) but I read that Shikamori went with someone else, in a side along Shunshin and all, so... can I just keep my post as is... Hvaing Sakeme follow Elruda anad stuff?)

Still on Zephyr-san's back, she gave the Nara a soft smile. "Good evening to you too, Shikamori-sensei." She paused for a moment at his question, not sure what all to say... eventually she figured it would be best, in the long run, to just say what she could. "I wasn't that tired so I tried to go out and train... However, I was apparently too weak to do the sort of training a friend of mine was participating in and her sensei... thing... decid3d that she would kill me if I came near her again... I couldn't think of anything else to do, so I wnadered around here to work off a bit of depression and I heard you were around so... yeah..." Her voice was a little weak at the moment, and she only grew quieter as Zephyr-san set her down and changed back into his child form. It wasn't even a moment later that the Tsuchikage, Marcus, appeared... things seemed to go a bit odd from there, in her opinion. The Senju volunteered the Nara to help out with something, then accused him of not thinking of Youko-san... and then the kid came around.

Isn't Elruda-chan supposed to be asleep? She almost winced at the sickeningly sweetness of the child's smile as she greeted Zephyr and Marcus. It didn't help the aura of the area, as hyped up as it was already, when the hyuuga childpushed forth another kid... Sakeme could sense Zephyr-san's unease from then on... Even though she had no clue what was going on. Was Elruda pulling off a black mail or something? She wans't sure she wanted to know... A small smirk, however, crossed her face when Marcus called the kid a pipsqueak... it wasn't totally true though. Reassuringly, she place an hand on this kid's shoulder. 'Of course you will... look how tall you are you are, compared to me, already, and I'm several years older than you... You'll surpass me in height in no time at all..." Yeah... Sakeme was gonna be stuck short forever... atleast some guys liked that... and she'd never have trouble finding a guy taller than her... not that she was looking for a guy or anything though...

Things got even more uncomfortable after Marcus and Zephyr-san left... ANBU were everywhere... and Sakeme was getting the same chill that Elruda had. Luckily others came by... unluckily, they had bad news. So Youko-san was being accused of some crime? What the heck was going on/ Sure she could be.... extremely rough when angered, but... she'd never done anything illegal and whatnot. Listening carefully to what she could, she followed Elruda when she left to find the Tsuchikage and the Senju... She wasn't asked to go, but she knew she w as useless in tracking, and she'd just slow the others down... the kid, however, needed someone at her side. So, as the gitrl ran, using her gift to guide her, Sakeme kept up behind her... If trouble came, she would protect the girl... as much as she was able.

Sakeme was relieved when they found the others, though she was somewhat shocked that Zephyr would cage the girl... then again... she was a bit violent. *Cough* like her mother *cough* Part of her wanted to go up to the girl and hug her though... especially when she started crying. The kid's mother just got taken, and by the ANBU of the the high council... However, something the child said froze her... Never trust anyone from the 'outside'... "Elruda-chan..." Sakeme backed up a step. "Do you... honestly mean... that?" She couldn't help but bite her lip. The answer back didn't come because the girl had been forced to sleep... Then they were joined by some of the ones that had told them about the situation in the first place. "Zephyr-san... I can... watch the kid... if you need me too?" Even though she doens't trust me... an outsider...

((Excuse the shortness. >_>))

His gaze landed on Sakeme.

"Ayame?"

Judging by his tone, Zephyr clearly wasn't impressed.

"Yes?"

"You're fired."

"Huh...?"

Zephyr scowled. "I thought you Hyuugas were good at gathering information too. Apparently not."

At length, realizing what the Hokage meant, the Hyuuga shrugged. "Kids move." Came the nonchalant reply.

Zephyr chose to ignore that comment.
