Caleb looked genuinely annoyed when he turned to see the leftover snow on his back. Seeing Rei standing as he was, Caleb could only put two and two together. Before he could open his mouth to speak or do anything in response, his Marshtomp began flinging snowballs left and right at both of them.

Michael looked over at Maddy and walked over. "What's eatin' you Captain?" He knew the Captain had a lot on her mind, but she needed to keep her chin up. So with some slight of hand he packed some snow and threw it at her head.

Rei did his best to distract himself from the grim truth of the matter, tossing snowball after snowball. Admittedly, he wasn't very good at handling the wet, mushy stuff, but he did his best.
He even got Marshtomp once or twice before being buried by snow. Only his gauntlet was visible above the mound.
"Gah-pft-blehk. Countess. Help me out," he called out, waving his hand pitifully.

Maddy was a little taken aback as a snowball came flying at her face. She quickly ducked forward, the ball grazing her back.
"What the---?!"
She rolled off to the side and dove behind a tree.
"Wh-Why are you attacking me?!"
She had never been in a snowball fight before. Her lifestyle growing up had never given her the chance to participate in one.

Michael burst out laughing when she asked her question and said, "Come on Maddy, you have to of been in a snowball fight before. Even in Hoenn where it rarely snowed we had snowball fights." He then threw another snowball at the captain.

After finally digging himself out, he looked up to see a snickering Countess holding a snowball.
WHAP.
Rei frowned. Whose side was she on? Rei decided he had no allies, and proceeded to launch poorly-made snowballs at anyone he saw. He smiled faintly upon hearing Maddy's indignant question.
"Maddy, he didn't attack you in earnest. It's a snowball fight. It's a playful substitute for actually fighting. I believe it to be lighthearted." He was interrupted by a snowball to the face. Shaking his head and laughing, he continued.
"It's a game. Considering your athletic prowess, I'd say you'd be good at it."

"I grew up in Kanto and parts of Johto." Maddy explained, awkwardly scratching the back of her head. "It hardly ever snows there."
She bent down and cupped some snow in her hands, trying to pack it into a ball. Her hands were bare, though, so it was pretty chilly and her fingers started to go numb.
"I prefer bikini weather."

Rei could sympathize.
"I've been living in the desert for... as long as I can remember, really," he commented. "I've only read stories about this game." He narrowly dodged his Zubat's second lob and gathered more snow.
"I think it's one of those things that's more fun when you interact with others." He threw a snowball in Maddy's direction, and hit Caleb's Marshtomp. There was immediate retaliation, and Rei was buried under snow once more.
"I swear, this is more fun than it looks," Rei mumbled from under the snow.

While avoiding all the snowballs Michael tripped and went tumbling a pokeball flew out of his pocket and three rare candies as well. The pokeball popped open and out came Spike and the candies landed next to him. Thinking the candies were for him the oung electrike swallowed all three at once. As soon as he swallowed the candies he began to glow. A few moments of being bathed in the light it stopped and in the Electrike's place was a Manectric. Michael was so happy he ran over and hugged Spike, and got a wet sloppy tongue licking from him.

Maddy finally arrived back at the Aqua house. After last night's excursion, she wandered off on her own. She was quite tired, but proceeded to pull a fresh cigarette out of her pocket and sit down on the front porch anyways. She lit the smoke up and took a long draw.
She sat there in silence, her eyes partially closed.
"..."

MaddyMage Maddy finally arrived back at the Aqua house. After last night's excursion, she wandered off on her own. She was quite tired, but proceeded to pull a fresh cigarette out of her pocket and sit down on the front porch anyways. She lit the smoke up and took a long draw. She sat there in silence, her eyes partially closed. "..." Rose and her Persian were coming out of the aqua house, and spotted Maddy. Mischievously, her Persian released a couple bubbles, rather then a whole beam, and aimed it at Maddy's cigarette, extinguishing it. Rose tried her best to suppress her chuckle, without much luck.

Maddy frowned as Rose's Persian doused her cigarette.
"Well, then..."
She pushed herself to her feet and pocketed the smoke for later. It would dry eventually.
"I guess now that someone else has showed up, I should probably do somethng." Maddy said, pulling her handbag strap further up her shoulder. It was currently weighed down with the scanners.
"Wanna scan Terminus Cave for fun?"

"Oooh, a cave, cool. I haven't been to Terminus Cave yet" Rose agreed, regaining her composure "Sure, Lets go" she agreed as her Persian was grooming itself.

Taking out her TADS, Maddy sent a message to all other Aquans, saying to meet at Terminus Cave at their leisure. Pocketing the device, she then made her way to Route 18, east of Anistar City.
"I've been to Terminus Cave once before." She said. "That's where I caught my Pupitar, which later evolved into my Tyranitar."
Speaking of her Tyranitar, she felt she didn't use Su nearly enough. She was focusing on evolving her Pokemon, as of late.
Route 18 was quite quiet today.

"Ah, well, I know my Persian is fully evolved, but she's been with me the longest, and I can't imagine ever not having her with me, though I have been trying to evolve my other Pokemon" Rose agreed "Persian, as a Meowth, was at my side for several years, my partner Pokemon when I was a Pokemon Ranger." she petted her Persian as they walked "So what is Terminus Cave like?"
