Sayrike::Red Rose-->Shipwreck Cove

The sound of people moving about on the ship gently woke up Sayrike. She was not a morning person, and in fact several times she had gone back to sleep. Finally, some vague memory of something important compelled her to wake up. She grabbed her pocket watch to check the time. Oh jeez...I guess I'd better get up before someone comes to get me. Would anyone even remember me? She didn't really know. The long sleep may have restored her physically, but emotionally she was still a bit drained.

Sayrike lightly smacked her cheeks. This was no way to start a morning!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With her eye mask back on and her pockets refilled with a couple potions, ethers, and a megapotion she found stashed behind a box of sugar, Sayrike stepped out into the Cove and joined the group, eating an apple. She usually didn't like to eat in the mornings, but today she had forced down some oatmeal and juice because heavens knew where she was going to end up by the end of today. She would have never guessed any of the events of yesterday would have taken place. Catching the tail end of Sora's command to sort themselves out, Sayrike hung back, contemplating where she wanted to go.
I don't like going down into the ocean...it gives me the creeps. Buuuut...how often does one get to go to Atlantica? I mean, that's my childhood, right there. And I think I've spent enough time on ships recently. Still gnawing on her apple, Sayrike discreetly stepped over to Sora's side, still keeping a distance from everyone else while at the same time studying them.
{Kyle : Red Rose -> Shipwreck Cove
Kyle stretched out in his bed, working out the kinks as he rubbed his eyes. He didn't want to get up and leave his bed behind. It was the best thing ever. But, as Midgardsormr continually reminded him, it was business time. Stretching out one last time and arching his back, Kyle got up and headed to the bathroom for a quick cleaning.
Patting his slightly damp hair down, Kyle walked out of the ship and stood with the group. Had he missed something? Why were they splitting. Well, somebody would eventually come along and ask. Hanging back from choosing, he tried to figure out who was going where.
{Valmar : Flying Dutchman}
Hearing the call to get up, Valmar promptly got up and headed out and eagerly awaited the battle to come.
At least, that's how the dream was going. He rolled in his hammock as visions of slaughter danced in his head. Where Midgardsormr might have woken the original up, Dark Midgardsormr was quite content to stay sleeping, lazing about in comfort. Sadly, while Ajora's call wasn't quite enough, other people getting up and walking by was. Opening his eyes, he rolled off the hammock and stretched himself out before pushing open the door.
Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he wandered out onto the deck and stood over by the railing, yawning and squinting his eyes at the light.
{Bobbi .:. Shipwreck Cove .:. Red Rose, Girl's Bathroom >> Uppermost Balcony}
After a quick brush of both teeth and hair (the toothpaste tasted like cinnamon and mint, she was quite happy about it, and the mint didn't linger for more than a minute or so) and dunking her head under a cold spout from the tap, Bobbi felt a little more awake than she normally was before ten a.m. She could wake up all at once, but that usually required either an alarm clock, or her upstairs neighbors trying to break into her apartment through their floor/her ceiling. At least all that woke her up this time was footsteps and voices, which wasn't nearly as bad as wondering what caused the explosion.
...anyway.
After a brief stop at the kitchen to grab a few slices of lightly buttered bread with cinnamon and sugar and a glass of apple juice, the Archer followed the voices out to the balconies. She held her glasses in her right hand as she rubbed her eyes with the back of her wrist, and yawned hugely as she walked out into the morning light.
"Picking teams, huh?" she said, and punctuated the question with another yawn. "Refresh my tired brain, what's the splitting up for again?" She thought she knew the answer, but she wasn't sure which of her memories were real and what were dreams. It was kind of hard to tell anymore.
Sayrike::Shipwreck Cove
Sayrike, despite being somewhat predisposed to remain a quiet observer when with a group of people she was still a bit unfamiliar with, could not overcome her inclination to answer questions and help others out. Hearing the other girl's query (Bobbi? I think her name was that. Dang, last night is fuzzy.), Sayrike replied around a mouthful of apple, "We're splitting ourselves up to go off and fight different fronts of the battle. Those with Sora are heading down to Atlantica, and those who stay with Riku are going to fight up here." She wished she had something more to say to Bobbi, but she couldn't think of anything.
Man, it was hard to make friends with people sometimes. Sayrike felt so awkward.
[ Ajora : Paris : In Bed ]
When she flipped him over and pinned him, his pupils dilated and his smirk grew.
"Bring it."
[Nicholas :: Jadis' Castle :: Bedroom]
The Dark Knight opened his eyes, the voice of his mentor echoing in his head. Her voice had this melodious quality to it, he thought, despite the power she wielded and the whole 'she works for Seymour and would likely destroy you if you defied her' thing about her. But, he had to be up; today was an important day. Ajora had plans that Nick had to follow. He was a subservient follower until he could do what he wanted. And the only way to secure enough power to break free was to play lapdog. Which he could do quite well.
He stretched, feeling his muscles tense before relaxing. Sliding his feet from the covers, he stifled a yawn and rose to his feet. His gaze shifted downwards, raising a brow at the green pajamas he was wearing. He shrugged, feeling the darkness beginning to swirl around his clothing. The green pajamas slowly transformed into a dark green dress coat and matching slacks. His bare feet were covered in black socks, then black dress shoes. Underneath his coat, a long sleeve black button up shirt replaced his sleeping shirt, and over the black dress shirt, a dark green vest formed. His hands were covered in fingerless black gloves, and over his face, a dark green mask covered the top half of Nick's face.
He looked at his outfit and grinned, thinking himself to look almost like a Victorian-era Riddler. He dashed for the door, then composed himself and pushed open both of the doors with a small shove.
"So, Teacher, what will Ajora have me do today?"
[Noelle ~ Shipwreck Cove ~ Balconies]
Noelle grew tense as others started showing up, feeling some relief as the subject was changed. She knew which group she was going with. Staying up top was pointless for her, she would just get in the way. There would be no earth to be had and agromancy would be difficult with just water. She would have to change her fighting style right off. Down below she would at least be of some assistance, being closer to sand and underwater vegetation. Before she stood from her seat she gave Riku a glance. All this talk about utilizing Darkness had her hoping to have some time to train a bit before they shipped out. Right then wasn't the time to ask, though. Too many of the others were around, and she wasn't ready for them to know just yet.
The agromancer stood, walking over to where Sora was standing as indication that she was going to Atlantica. She smiled at the others who had arrived; Dawn, Dani, one of their newest additions--Matthew, Sayrike, Kyle, and Bobbi.
"Essentially." Noelle affirmed what Sayrike was saying. "But take into account where you'll be able to help out most."
[Jenny :: Shipwreck Cove :: Balconies]
Jenny walked in shortly after the others; as much as she had craved sleep, she slept fitfully and rose early. She ran her hand through her hair as she listened to the others. Noelle made a comment to consider where they're be the most help and the mage paused for a second. In either area, she'd have control over time and if music was a question below water, she knew it definitely wasn't. After all, it was Atlantica! Though, unbeknownst to everyone else, Jenny had slipped into the water late last night to test out her flute just to ease her own paranoia.
The time mage walked over to Sora's side and smiled at the others before stopping next to Sayrike. She remembered the games the day before and waved happily before whispering her greetings, "Morning Sayrike. Sleep well?"
{Kyle : Shipwreck Cove : Balconies
"Morning Bobbi. Sleep well?" He asked as he stifled the yawn that was coming. Why were yawns so addicting? Thankfully, she asked the question that he needed answered.
Okay, well, that answers that. I could stay up here and help, but I can't really use my magic if I do. Which means Atlantica. Because rocks and stuff. His thoughts were reinforced by Noelle. He'd be useless without his element. Nodding to himself, he walked over to join the Sora group, nodding at Noelle. "Heyo. How's it going?"
[Joe; Lexaeus: Shipwreck Cove: Balconies]
Joe was already by Sora when they decided to split off, and ended up staying there. He was silent as he looked towards the water. Anyone who knew him well enough knew he was fighting to just dive into the water already and go ahead...
Lexaeus hung near Riku. He needed to stick to them for now, and besides the fact that he wasn't exactly made for swimming, he'd fare better up on the deck of the ship. They'd probably be able to use his strength there.
[Zidane :: Shipwreck Cove :: Balconies]
Zidane yawned loudly as he entered with the others. He slept wonderfully; he had forgotten the soothing wonders of a bed. If he could, he'd bring a pillow with him to breakfast.
Although it didn't seem like it, the genome heard every word as he contemplated the sides before walking over to Riku. "Two battles huh? Sounds tough. I'll go where I can soar through the skies, I can traverse entire ships with my great acrobatics!" Zidane added in cheerfully as he pointed out his tail. No one was going escape his daggers.
[Dawn : Shipwreck Cove : Balconies]
"Well if fear of fish is any indication..." Dawn mumbled more to herself than to those around her when she walked over to join Riku. Those who had been with them during the gathering on the Black Pearl knew she was going to go this direction. Just as she figured Bobbi would know. She was not going to allow herself to turn into a fish.
[John.:Shipwreck Cove:.Balconies]
John stepped forward silently toward Riku. He had had his share of underwater adventuring and had really enjoyed his time. "I'm willing to take the challenge of the water being an obstacle... always wanted to be in a pirate fight too!" he laughed. There was an uneasy tension among the group again. It was the feeling that, again, someone might die in the next few hours. No one really knew who, and they all prayed nothing would happen... no one would be mauled and disfigured or psychologically scarred... they all prayed for the safe return of each and every one of them, not knowing if even the other group would be completely wiped out in a flash.
[Saint.:Caribbean Sea:.The Flying Dutchman
Saint dove under letting the saltwater sting his eyes to see the beauty of the ocean. The waters were clear and beautiful and he could at least admire the wildlife around him. When he had his share of the beauty, he began to climb the chain of the anchor and hoisted himself over the edge to hear Ashley speak.
"Well someone's a bit of a b**** in the mornin' ain't she?" he laughed as he made his way across the deck. He put his big wet arm around the shoulder of Ashley and forcefully pulled her toward him. All the while stark naked, Saint squeezed her and said, "She's a fiery little motherf***er ain't she now?"
Sayrike::Shipwreck Cove::Balconies
It was just too easy to return the smile as Sayrike quietly replied, "Good morning, Jenny! Yep, I slept like a log. I probably could have slept in 'til the afternoon, but I figured someone needed to save everyone's butt today." They hadn't had much time to talk since the four of them had chilled out on the deck yesterday, but Jenny was easy to get along with and, like Anthony, the jokes came easily. Noelle...well, Sayrike hadn't gotten to talk with her much, but the blonde girl seemed a bit serious and preoccupied during the past day.
Finishing up the apple, Sayrike asked, "How did you sleep? Did you grab anything to eat yet?" She relaxed against the railing, the picture of ease. It really wasn't worth the trouble worrying about the upcoming battle. It would come when it would come.
