Rylee nodded in agreement at the explanation and looked down at her hands, wondering how much control she could have over her own powers once trained. She blinked and looked over at her two best friends, wondering what powers they would have and grinning to herself knowing that they would both be wonderful at controlling whatever it was.
With a quick glance back at Luke to make sure he was still okay, she glanced around the group before her eyes landed on the elves closest to her and the fallen student. She smiled and nervously rubbed the back of her neck.
"Hi," she said lightly, "I'm Rylee. Pleased to meet you."

Terra looked up, intrigued, as Marael went on about powers and magick. It was an exciting topic when the only thing relatively close to magick in their world was color-changing Kool-Aid and microwave pizzas. Terra was anxious for the full revealing of her own magick skill. She'd noticed this new vibrance within her, and all of her senses seemed keyed in on their surroundings. The foliage in particular was rather striking. She felt strangely aware of all the trees and scattered plants along the clearing and felt as if they breathing with her. Everything held some sort of buzzing excitement and she was seeing nature in a way she never had before. Pulling away from her romantic thoughts of magick and plants, she turned back to Luke. Thankfully he seemed to have finally relaxed into a sort of calm sleep. The corners of her mouth twitched into a smile and she quickly looked back up at Rylee, glad that she was mingling with the others. "Heh. Rylee, Haylin, and I go way back. Its been almost two years now since her disappearance back in our world. But now... now that we've found her here it really makes me wonder if we're all supposed to be here. Like we were meant to do something special." She said aloud to the group. She thought she might as well explain the emotional reunion from before.
Emmia was quite releived to Luke in a somewhat peaceful state. She felt that now she could finally focus on the other matters at hand. Like all of these humans and their magick training. Most had already shown a great deal of potential, such as Luke and Terra, and the others, she sensed, had that ominous aura of magick as well. Hopefully none of the others would have such an ordeal take place when their power finally surfaced, but she hoped the best for them all. When Rylee spoke up, Emmia looked up at her with a welcoming smile. The girl seemed a tad uncomfortable, but never the less Emmia already decided she liked this girl. Obviously Terra and Haylin approved of her, that much was clear. But Rylee had been kind enough to zap the heat that had been so thick upon the air around Luke. Since the boy was situated on her lap, the warmth had been slowly digging at her magick, coaxing it back to the surface. But now it dimmed, and all was safe and calm.
"A pleasure." Emmia said, nodding towards Rylee. "I am Emmiadora. Emmia for short. Two years here, eh? That's a long time for a human to keep to themself."

((Ah, I had forgotten Luke was in Emmia's lap...I can now post again!))
Luke, still quite unconscious, moves...slowly stirring. He presses up against Emmia, his muscles tensing up only slightly. His face winces, showing a trace amount of what appears to be childlike fear... Can you blame him? He just stared an inner daemon in the eyes...then burst into flames...

Marael smiled at Rylee.
"I am Maraelia, or Marael for short." She said with a nod towards the girl. "And you are...human, I see." She added with surprise. "Interesting. How have you managed to stay hidden so long?"
Near Emmia, Marael caught sight of Luke stirring slightly in Emmia's arms. She moved over to him and laid a cool hand on his forehead, trying to calm him somewhat. She remembered her first magic lesson and the dreams that had followed vividly, and it was not the happiest of memories.

Emmia could feel Luke contract into her and her eyes flashed to a silvery troubled grey. She had thought in that moment that he had woken up from this frightening event, but as her eyes fell to the boy in her arms she saw his eyes were still tightly shut. Yet now he wore a look of fear, his features innocent in sleep. Emmia thought to reassure him, but Marael acted quicker than she, and placed a comforting hand on his forehead. Again Emmia felt a wave of shame for herself. She should have controlled it better, surpressed her torment. Now someone else had been affected and surely knew of what lie in wait beneath Emmia's own skin. A monster. This train of thought muddled her in guilt for a long moment before she threw a soft glance at Luke and gazed back up at Rylee, waiting for an answer. Her arms shifted slighty, gently cradling Luke closer and hoping his mind would ease.

Rylee grinned at Terra "Well even if we aren't supposed to to do anything special, I'm glad you guys are here." she said happily as she turned back to the elves who had introduced themselves.
"Hi Marael, Emmia. It's nice to meet you." Rylee smiled back at them, letting a small tense laugh escape her lips at the question as she fidgeted with the bandages wrapped around her head. It was a nervous habit of anxiousness she had developed a few months after arriving in the Elven world. She wet her lips as she fingered the soft material.
"Well.." she started, "I'm not sure exactly. I guess I was just good at keeping out from under everyone's attention." she said simply looking out into the trees. "When I first got here, I had been... hurt. An elderly elf who lived in the woods found me injured underneath a tree and was kind enough to take me in while I healed." At this she went drastically pale in remebrance at the memory. Rylee didn't like to think about what had happened when she had stepped through the door. Especially after-
She forced the memories away and pushed a smile back onto her face from where it had fallen, a hand clutching convulsively at her abdomen. "I stayed there for a time and somehow she knew what I was. She would tell me terrible myths about humans and the fear associated with them and...it stuck with me. So after I left, I kept some of the extra bandages she had given me and used them as...I don't know, a disguise. I didn't want anyone to start freaking out at the sight of me so when I came to Bredia, I just... tried to stay out of mind." She shrugged, a small frown pulling at the corners of her lips. "I do wonder sometimes why she was never as scared of me as she said others were of us."

Raizer listened intently to Rylee's story trying to think of any myths or stories about humans. Eventually he remembered a story told to him by an elderly women about strange and terrible creatures but the the description of them didn't quite fit the humans could she be talking about the same person? "I'm Raizer Hunter or Raiz if you want, and I must say im intrigued by this elderly elf" he said with a slight bow.

Rylee looked towards the elf, "Pleased to meet you," she replied with a smile and a bow of her own, her mind wandering back to the old elf she had met two years previous. Had it only been so long? She swallowed lightly,
"She was a rather eccentric elf if I remember correctly and her name was..." she paused and blinked in confusion, "her name was..." she trailed off, looking to the side and racking her brain for the elusive name. She could have sworn she had just known it. Rylee turned back, a bewildered look on her face. She knew this, how could she forget? It had been on the tip of her tongue and now it felt as though a wall had been placed in front of her and the indentity of the old woman. With a frown, she met Raizer's eyes again.
"I...I can't remember. I know I should but...I can't." She said increduously. "But what I do know is that she had the strangest ears. They were long, but they were curved at the end, like a fish hook." She added.

As soon as Rylee mentioned that the elf had strange ears he knew it was the same person "Nerali, her names Nerali and she likes to over exaggerate some of her stories a bit" he said his eyes changeing color to show his dibelief that if Nerali had seen a human it was a wonder that every single elf didn't know about them.

When Rylee heard the name, she almost smacked herself. How in the world could she have forgotten Nerali? Internally she sighed in exasperation at herself while she outwardly gave a small confused smile.
"Of course, Nerali. I should have known that," she said, her smile morphing into a frown. "So those stories she told me, were they fake?" she asked quietly, crossing her arms and shifting her weight from one leg to the other. A small knot of irritation was growing at the back of her mind.
