Natsuki decided to make her way to the staging area and wait for We'rika there. Usure of her auction debut time, she checked herself a final time in her compact mirror, before setting her handbag underneath the booth.
"Well, I am as ready as I will ever be," she said, taking a slow, deep breath, and sitting elegantly in a chair. Adjusting her opera length gloves and making one last check up on her sexy, ankle strapped heels, she simply waited; waited for We'rika to return, waited for the auction to begin, and most importantly, waited for the whole thing to be over. Her stomach lurched, anxiously, as anticipation gnawed furiously at her gut. She wanted the whole ordeal to be over as painlessly as possible, so she could finally get something to eat.

Tyson nodded slowly as Aphismet spoke to the women, absolutely absent on what they were discussing. He was far too busy playing with little Munchies and giving her all his attention. That didn't mean though that he couldn't act as if he was listening in on them.
Yet, even as he drowned them out by watching Munchies, he still caught Aphismet speaking of where he and Lillian were working. His gaze upturned to look at the man and then to the women in record timing for a boy whose attention had faded. "Yeah! You should go over! They are all really cute, but the demon sheep can be mean...Lil already got a bruise from him. I don't think she's very happy about it...Oh! You should go say 'hi' to her too, Aphi." The little boy told the young man with a sly smile before he turned his eyes back to the gwee. Whatever Aphi was remembering didn't concern him now, and since he rather be distracted by the gwee then listen to a boring conversation, Tyson said no more.
Lucky for him that he had turned his attention back to the gwee as she broke out into song. To show his pleasure, Tyson quickly began clapping his hands as the little concert continued just for him. As he listened, Tyson just couldn't get over how cute she was! With her little chirps, the wagging of her tail, and the bobbing of her big head and small body. Oh, if only Lillian allowed him to have another pet; Surely a gwee would be a fitting addition to their family.

"You are? Well, that's always good! I just had a guy up here a few minutes ago who was a bit of a stiff....yet he brought in a good amount of money." A happy voice replied as whoever it was neared Natsuki from the side. Richard's pace slowed as he stood beside the women, already sporting a sweet smile in her direction while he counted out the green bills he had taken from Josh minutes before.
"You're Miss Natsuki, right? I'm Richards! It's a pleasure to meet you. Erm...let's see..." The young man paused in his greeting to think of what to say now. There had been so much to tell the one before this lady here, and he wasn't exactly sure if he felt like repeating it ALL over again. Once was enough, besides, this women might get bored silly just listening to him. Surely she must've done this kind of thing before; Richard was already guarnteeing himself that what he thought of her was true.
Moments later he was emptying the money into a yellow box, making sure to lock it afterwards to keep it safe from any sticky fingers. The young announcer then walked briskly back over to Natsuki, brimming from ear to ear with his trademark brilliant smile. "Well, a beautiful lady like yourself will have nothing to worry about here." With that being said, Richards took the young ladies hand in his and kissed it ever so gently. He had to be a gentleman after all, since he was in the presence of a lady. "Now, do you need anything explained before we begin?" Richards made sure to ask, just in case Miss Natsuki needed some enlightening on the task at hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Richard," Natsuki said, flashing a brilliant smile at the announcer. Her heart pounded in anticipation, but she drew all the energy into her smile and bewitching eyes. Nodding her head politely, as the man kissed her hand, Natsuki simply rose to her feet. Resisting the urge to roll her eyes, she merely fluttered her eyelashes again.
"No questions," she answered, running her fingers through her hair a final time. The summer heat made her black dress blistering hot, so she took a prop with her-- a lace fan. "Let's get this show on the road."
Slipping her hand from his, she walked ahead of him, and ascended the staircase leading to the stage. Closing her eyes, she pushed negative thoughts from her mind, pretending the auction was nothing more than a mere stage production. She had no time to waste. Putting one slender leg in front of the other, the maid cafe onwer strode forward slowly, with her head held high. Her arms swung naturally at her sides, but she finished her walk with a cocked hip and one gloved hand resting on it.

Alex cocked her head to the side as she heard a familiar voice in the air. She leaned her head back just in time to catch sight of the fiery red-head taking the stage. Standing swiftly, she made a soft humming noise in her throat that immediately snapped Lorenzo out of his half-sleeping stupor and summoned him to her shoulder.
The woman walked beyond the tree by her booth, careful not to get too far away; she didn't need to be leaving her station a second time. Where she stood was just oustide the barricade for the chairs in front of the stage, so she had a good view even if she wasn't seated. Alex almost whistled at Natsuki to encourage her, but had to remember there was a feline sleeping on her that would probably not like such a loud and sudden noise. Instead, she lifted her hand from the cat's back and waved, hoping her friend would see her. She would keep her word, and be there for Natsuki.
Her motion was taken as a bid, but she didn't mind. The idea was fun, and she didn't think Natsuki would be too mad if, by some long shot, she did win the auction. Alex might have been a little off in some aspects, but she was mostly harmless.

"Oh my," said Lucado, sweetly flustered once more as he reaccepted the little wooden spoon, though he noted that the other was turning that lovely, ecstatic expression on someone else. Spooning up another bite of the melting ice, he smiled, his bright blue eyes narrowing gently and crinkling at the corners. "Indirect, indeed," he said softly, turning a curious gaze on the other man, though he did nothing but give a soft, little noise in greeting, bowing his head a bit as he popped the sweet into his mouth, the beads clinking in his hair as he lifted it up again. "Not that I'd mind," he murmured, mostly to himself, as he set the mostly-emptied cup on the counter for a moment to sip at his water, standing aside. He didn't really want a repeat of himself being scared silly...
His shyness had eroded a bit, more comfortable in his own skin when he wasn't isolated -- but his own skin wasn't necessarily where he needed to be much of the time. Walking paradox indeed. Although, more comfortable or not, the last thing he needed to think about was a kiss -- indirect or not. Need and want, however, were two entirely different things. At least, he thought with a mental sigh, he seemed to be in like-minded company.

"Hi Lazrus," Tari beamed, glad to know her new friend's name. He seemed a little nervous - maybe it was his first time out, too? But he seemed larger than her, with more flesh under where boobs would be, if he had boobs. Perhaps he was just naturally shy, poor thing. Tari would be extra friendly.
...After she had a snack. As the male Raevan gave his assent, Tari reached out and grasped a small amount of his bright red hair. A squeak left her mouth, surprised that it wasn't at all spiky like it looked.
Green eyes blinked, and suddenly the strands Tari had been holding were gone. Thankfully for Lazarus, it wasn't as though she'd taken a handful to leave him with a noticable missing patch.
"Mmmmm," Tari gave a throaty hum of approval. "Lazrus is tasty."
If the others looked closely, Tari's hair had taken on a very slight red tinge. It would fade soon enough, she'd found with practice, but it had kept her in front of shiny objects to check the changing shades until the novelty of it wore off.

A slender figure appeared on the scene of the festival, but its arrival was so silent and unobtrusive, that one would have to very observant to pick it out of the crowd of people and Raevans.
Whoever it was appeared to be a woman, rather tall and slender, with short, dark red hair. Her pristine white lab coat swirled around her knees as she bent to inspect the creatures inside the petting zoo, a frown of thought pulling her finely arched eyebrows together.
No, those weren't what she'd come here to see, though they might warrant further investigation and study. The ability to combine animals... that might prove useful in future experiments.
Straightening up, Ashlynn turned and started to stroll casually down the row of stalls. She kept a polite, if bored expression on her face as she jotted a few notes on a small clipboard, eyes never still save when they passed over a Raevan. Then more notes would be written, blue pen flying over white paper.
Passing the auction booth, the refreshment booth with its little group, and a few others, Ashlynn stopped at the flower booth. The delightful scent had caught her nose, and she bent low to cup the drooping head of a rose. Tanned fingers lifted it to her face and she sniffed deeply, eyes drifting shut in pure ecstasy. Oh, yes... flowers were her weakness. So much less complicated than people or animals, undemanding and straight forward.

The chimeras were amusing enough company, though not exactly great talkers of the day. Still plenty of stalls to spread her self amusement to... The refreshment stall had been hit, the merchandise would get a second visit eventually, the flowers were overflowing for the time being and the charms next door needed a look in before everything was over.
Niksia noticed another figure up on the date stand as she debated where to go next, were they auctioning someone else off already? Ducking through the crowd to get a better look, balloon bouncing happily beside her, she managed to stop fairly close to the stall.
Natsuki!
Niksia had at least two reasons to remember her, with their own levels of good and bad within them. At the very least, this was some way to help out the Lab. In her usual spirit of things, Niksia raised her hand to bid, if she won it would at least be a chance to get talking again.

Alex was biting her lip to keep from laughing and waking the sleeping cat; her shoulders shook a little with the effort, much to Lorenzo's displeasure. He chirruped at his human, then at the woman on stage, as if it was perfectly plausible that Natsuki could hear him, or was on stage for him and him alone.
The reason the woman was laughing was because of how great Natsuki looked. And here, she was so nervous that no one would bid on her! It seemed most people were too slack jawed and bug-eyed to be much use, so Alex put her bid in again. It was just too much fun, and the temptation was too great; supporting her friend and, of course, the Lab, it was too easy to get lost in the festivities.

As hard as it was, Shira had managed to spend the whole day dallying outside and away from her home. It was her day off, and her roommate had thrown her out for what he called, 'a time away from housewife role play'. She blew black curls away from her eyes with a huff. If one thing was for sure, she was definitely no damn housewife. And to prove such, Shira had stepped out of her comfort zone and visited the many random festivities such at the one she was about to pass currently.
Black nails scratched lightly as she massaged her neck. She'd worn as little as she could be comfortable with; a pale green, off-shoulder long-sleeve and capris. But she was still hot enough to break out into a sweat. Shira her casual pace and looked at the booths of the festival. One stood out particularly. "Refreshments..." As if taken over, she made her way through the crowd- not noticing the strange beings known as Raevan. A thirsty Shira was an absent-minded one it seemed. When she reached her destination, she glanced at the small menus in a daze.
Iced Mocha....wait. She blinked and frowned, coming out of her stupor. Just how much money did she have now? "Damn. Forgot about those stupid cat treats I bought earlier." She fiddled with her back pocket before bringing out her wallet and looking for whoever was available.

Now that Revanica had taken the pink lemonaide and hot dog which in her opinion was actually rather novelty considering that the ideas came from humans, she hunkered down to one of her budding hobbies: people watching which doubled as anatomy lessons and biology.
Shira was interesting if only for a moment. Revanica half turned and looked downward towards the auction area. It perked her up more. She wondered if she would get up from her half lounged position fron the picnic bench. Soon Revanica would need to cool off in this body, it was starting to become rather gross actually, and she relished the thoughts of soaring above the clouds where the air was chill and the wet clouds bathed her with their fine misty particles. Breathing deep she half-closed her eyes seeing but not really seeing what was before her and settled into stillness.

Natsuki tried hiding her gushing smile as catcalls resounded from the audience. The announcer hadn't even opened the bidding, and there was her gal pal, Alex, throwing out the first bid. Her gray eyes focused on her friend, and she blew a kiss and a wink. However, the crowd mistook it for general appealing for bids. Natsuki didn't mind, her primary objective was to raise money for the lab. Her thoughts were with Chloe, Tsu, and Kyou, whom had been so wonderfully kind to her.
"Is that all you've got?" Natsuki cooed playfully, tossing her copper hair over her shoulder, and giving the crowd a girlish pout. "I know you can do better than that!"
The satin dress hugged her body in all the right places, and she had no qualms about strutting her stuff. Over fifteen years of modeling and theatre shone through as she strutted and posed. She didn't enjoy resorting to theatrics, but it was better than merely standing like a deer in the headlights of an eighteen wheeler truck. The cafe manager prayed to the gods and stars above that not too many people would witness this trainwreck.
