Maggie patted him on the leg, since she obviously couldn't reach his shoulder "Jabir did say it didn't seem harmful, so I don't think there will be anything else to worry about"

Chao sighed softly, worry lining her face and nodded slightly against Reid's hair.
"I'm glad that it's not physically harmful at least..." but what did you do if you went from a perspective, a height, that you knew to suddenly being, possibly much smaller? It might not harm you physically but that didn't say anything for what it did to you mentally.
Reid turned and buried his face in the fluff of Ike's neck and collar. Shutting his eyes tightly, he let out a low whine in the back of his throat and sniffled slightly. He'd stopped paying paying attention past the fact that the long necked man didn't know how small he'd end up.

Rabid stood back, her arms crossed. She felt pretty useless.
Ike nuzzled the top of Reid's head affectionately and hugged him tighter.
"Issa be okee," he said, mumbling around the block in his mouth, "Reid still's Reid."

JAbir lowered his neck towards Reid as much as he could "I know how you feel. I've been trought the same, although the other way around. It's not easy"
"And you're much luckier than Jabir was. He didn't had such a good friend to begin with"
"If it makes you feel better the change won't be very big for now. I can't tell if the speed will change or even reverse in the future, but it's pretty slow for now"

Reid's eyes peeked open and slid over to meet Jabir's. He sighed through his nose, thinking about Rex and King... but... smaller seemed... worse, somehow. If he shrunk much more he wouldn't be able to play piano at all or do who knew what else.
But then again, he'd never felt it the other way, and never would.
Looking up he nodded to Ike slightly and attempted a small smile, that came out looking weird on his normally happy, expresive face, "righ... Reid hath Ike n'Reid still's Reid..."
Deciding to give the two Mishap's room to breathe Chao slid back onto her ankled and nodded, a sudden change was something she didn't want to think about. And maybe someday it would reverse....
Tugging at her hair Chao gnawed on her lip unhappily, the most unnerving thing about all this was not knowing why it was happening.

A strange, yet familiar feeling was going trough his body. He was going to change again
It felt when he glowed, but this time was building up right bellow his heart. The feeling steadily got stronger and filled every single cell. Soon it reached the tip of his antennas, turning into something completely different
With a sudden speed it contracted and expanded again, but this time it all went to his belly, making it glow like it never glowed before. When it stoped and he managed to see again, he imediatly noticed some differences
His "fur collar" was much ticker than before. Now it completely covered his neck, but it wasn't at all unconfortable
His arms were longer as well. The markings on his hands were much darker and a bit more wider. The same it seemed to have happened to his legs
The wings hadn't suffered much of a change, but the protection over them seemed much stronger, but just as light
As for his antennas, they were longer and tinner than before, and much more sensible to the information they picked from the air around them
Last, but not least, the glow from his belly seemed much stronger, although it still couldn't cast a proper light

Rabid moved beside Chao and once again wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"It'll be fine..."
Ike smiled sympathetically down at Reid and nodded.
"Righ'"
...but his expression soon turned to one of surprise.
"No fair!" he laughed and hugged Reid again.

Jabir looked at Reid's 'growth' without even blinking at that sudden burst of light. He'd gotten even shorter, but it was a small difference. If everything would go as expected he wouldn't change much until the next stage
He went next to Chao, with his neck still lowered "If there's anything I can do to make things easier..."
Maggie looked at her watch "Okay Ike, you can give me the cube now"

Reid blinked at the sharp light and waited as the feeling began to fade. He laughed as well and hugged his friend back before disentangling himself from Ike. Stepping back he shook himself all over, looking over the newest changes and how different things looked. Smaller still it seemed, but not too much at least.
Chao smiled happilly at the obviously older, despite being shorter Reid and leant against Rabid, proud and worried. Not a combination she was used to.
Looking up to Jabir she nodded, "thank you... I think... I'm a bit too shell shocked to really think about it." Something suddenly came to mind, "erm.. actually, is there any way to shrink objects?"

"Like...his...pants?" Rabid snerked.
"Bleaugh," Ike shuddered, pulled the block from his mouth, and dabbed it off on his shirt before handing it to the lady. He refused to speak until he grew for fear of sounding like an idiot to his newly-grown best friend.

"Inanimate objects? Not a problem. I can even cast a spell around him so all new objects that will be belong to him are fitting for his size at all times"
"Thanky you Ike" she smilled at him and quickly analized the block. It was far more damaged than it would be expected, even for his sharp teeth
"I wonder" she picked the dental mirror again "Open your mouth please"

Chao rolled her eyes and playfully thwacked Rabid's arm before smiling at Jabir, some of the tension leaving her, "that... would be absolutely perfect."
Reid made a slight face as the small block was spit out, perking at the mention of things belonging to him fitting his size. "Like Reid's piano?" he asked with a hopeful flit of his wings as he looked over to the adults.

Rabid giggled at Chao, but her attention quickly turned to Maggie.
"What's wrong?"
Ike simply nodded and approached the lady, once again opening his mouth and attempting to keep his tongue still.
What was wrong with his fangs?

Reid's face split into a grin of pure happiness, making him look much more normal, despite the growing of age and the shrinking of height. He could still play!
At Maggie explanation he cocked an eyebrow, and looked vaguely like his mother for a moment, at Ike, "so if Ike doesn't chew his teeth get too long?" he asked, scrunching his nose at the image that presented. Ow.
Chao smiled happily to Jabir and 'ahhh'ed' at Maggie's explanation. "Rodent side eh? That makes sense. Somehow I always forget Ike is part squirrel...."
