Looking at Iris first he couldn't help but actually do what she requested. Thinking, "What I really want to see is who were my parents?" then looking at the mirror he couldn't believe his eyes. There in the mirror showed a red haired man with a black haired woman holding a baby. Then the image disappeared. "How did it do that?"

She smiled. "it's my wish. A mesmer mirror. It shows you what you want. It's what i wished for. When I was younger." She folded her wings, and looked at him. Tears came to her eyes.

"I'm a freak, my father is dead, i'm the only half-mutant in my entire family, me and my mother are the only ones left in my family, fang's dead, and Surreal is gone. I've been an experiment for the entirety of my life, i've been fused with a frigging eagle, I turn into a snake, i hurt all over, I'm a ******** albino, I'm cold blooded, deaf and getting sick. again. i'm scared for everyone around me, i'm pissed off at half the world, the full moon is coming quick, i'm worried about envy and greed, i've got a splitting headache and i miss my Da." she looked at him, tears spilling over her cheeks, looking all of her seventeen years. "that's why i'm crying."

Seeing her cry jogged a forgotten memory of someone he met long ago. That someone taught him one way to help someone is to comfort them. Following that advice he bent over and awkwardly hugged Iris. "At least your alive. You still have a chance to fulfill your dreams. You still have a chance to fix the problem you are in. At least you have your memories."

She looked at him, perplexed by his action. "i have never seen a guy act like that..."she said. She looked at him. "Everyone that i ever seriously care about dies." she said glumly.

The oldest memory I have was being a soldier with the Foot. I don't know my origin at all."Sighing he continued, "But thanks to Fang's sister I've changed. I've started learning a lot of different views, ideas and emotions from my travels in searching for Fang." pausing he looked at Iris, "So I know of a mutant that can reverse your recent situation." he slowly removed his scarf and gave her a gentle smile. "So try to cheer up, there's always some hope in every situation."

"yeah. I've got that. i try, and mostly i succeed. but memories are painful. Sometimes, just looking at something trivial, like a tree. I remember my sister teaching me where different birds nest. I remember her married. pregnant. her and her baby, dead." She shivered. "i know there's hope, but... the moon sends everything into light and shadow. I can see everything in perspective. how much i've lost. how much of the world is cast in darkness. And it hurts. And i do horrible things during the full moon, to people that are just scared. because they're scared."
