Naito thought to himself. "I wonder why Akamaru hasn't shown up. He used to be here often." He then shrugged to himself as he listened to Nimue. "Yep! I like cats a lot."

Garaden skipped back into the room, panting and smiling. "Found him." He gestured to Nimue, pointing her out for Ivan. "That's Nimue." Then he turned back to take his place next to Blair, flashing her a grin before turning to pay attention to Nimue.
Ivan trotted in after Garaden, giving Nimue a small smile and a nod. "Miss." He said politely. He searched for a clear place close enough to sit. "I hope I didn't hold anything up."
Tilly barked as Garaden and Ivan came in. A stern look from Ivan made her put her head on her paws and quiet down, but her eyes continued to eagerly scan the room's inhabitants.

"Ick cats? You have got to be kidding me..." Kai growled looking at Atreyu as if he were crazy and then laid down beside Ammy, pawing at her tail again. "Those little creatures are annoying and they scratch and bite and hiss and ugh!"
Atreyu smirked at his old friend when he reentered the room.
"Welcome back and you didn't hold anything up at all actually. She," He gestured to Nimue. "Was about to tell us what she wanted us to do." Atreyu looked back at the young blue puppy expectantly and nodded his head at her. "We're all here... well," He wasn't entirely sure where Akamaru was. "We're missing one other person but yes, go on Mi'lady."
Endless smiled proudly at Rudolf and then tilted her head.
"Cats?" She didn't like them but then again, she wasn't crazy about them either. Endless nuzzled Rudolf back and laid her tail atop his as she returned once more into a silent listener.
Blair was ecstatic over Garaden's return and she had never felt like that towards anyone's coming and going... not even her own siblings or her mother. She wagged her tail and let out a small yip and smiled back at him. She turned back to Nimue and watched her intently. She was so young but yet she was addressing all of them like she were just some tiny adult.
Nimue nodded back towards Ivan and then counted heads. She heard Naito's comment about Akamaru and then looked at him sadly.
"I would say you all should wait for him but this cannot wait." She winced as felt like something was going on at that very moment that was probably really important. Mistaking it for the cats being in even more trouble, Nimue rose to her paws and began to pace before them. She spoke calmly though her thoughts were racing trying to explain how she knew about the kittens and that this was their test.
"I'm going to tell you this now and I hope you all believe me. I had a dream that three stray kittens lost their way would be chased by a wild wolf that wants to kill them. To prove yourselves....save those cats with whatever skills you all have. Only when they are safe and that wolf has left them alone, will I consider taking you all to the treasure."
She walked towards the door and sat down.
"I'll let you all talk about it but please hurry, you're running out of time."

Ammy liked cats and scoffed at Kai. Cats weren't that bad. She began flipping her tail from side to side growing agitated for some odd reason. She was starting to feel like something was wrong but couldn't think of what it could be.
Ger smiled at Tilly when she quieted down from Ivan's look. He did notice Ammy's agitation and wondered what was wrong.
Rudolf listened to Nimue carefully. He didn't know what skills he had that would be useful but he would try. He glanced to Endless and smiled thinking of how she had told him he was brave. He sat up and kept his tail under hers. "Cats where at?" He asked Nimue before turning to Atreyu, "If hurry we should leave. Talk why?"

Naito listened carefully to what Nimue said. He then looked at the other knights. He then thought to himself a bit. "Well I'll protect those kittens with my life then. Afterall, I don't have a someone special in my life to come back to so I can definately handle it."

Garaden was thrilled that Blair seemed so happy to see him. Though he tried to not get giddy, he had to yip back and give her a lick on her cheek. "Hurry?" Garaden frowned, then smiled slightly, trotting over to Atreyu. He spoke quietly. "I'd like to take you up on that offer now." He wagged his tail before walking back to Blair.
Ivan paid close attention to Nimue, frowning in thought at his paws after she was done. "I agree with Rudolf, of course we should go, but I have a few quick questions." He glanced quickly at Atreyu, then turned his gaze back to the blue pup that was more adult than puppy. "First, where are these kittens? Do we know what the area is like? Second, how dangerous is this wolf? How stubborn will he be when we try to save the kittens? And third..." His sight stuck intently to gauge her reaction. "No offense intended ma'am, but do you know how acurrate your dreams really are?"
Tilly jumped up and off of Ger. The adults were just talking... how boring. She padded over to a table and began batting at some ribbon underneath it left over from the party. She pounced and growled quietly, trying to keep from earning another look from Ivan.

Nimue looked up from where she sat at the door when Ivan asked his three questions.
"Well, first... I know where the kittens should be at or at least the general area. Once you get outside, I'm sure you'll hear the cats and the wolf but in my dream, they were near a large shed in an old oak tree. two, from my dreams, it seems like the wolf is only a real threat to those kittens. I'm sure he wouldn't turn around and harm you all." She paused and met Ivan's intent gaze and returned it one with her own intensity. She lifted her head and smiled faintly to show she took no offense. "And I take no offense to your last question actually. People ask me that all the time and then I tell something will happen and it does. You may find it strange but.. I've had dreams of this place ever since I was little and I knew I would one day meet you and lead you on this quest."
She looked away from
Kai looked up at Ammy and smiled at her. His smile faded however when he noticed how tense she was.
"What? Are you worried about us going off and being on a quest? Awww I'm touched Ammy." He laughed.
Atreyu listened silently to Ivan as he questioned Nimue and then was surprised when Garaden approached him and agreed to taking him up on his offer.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that Garaden." Atreyu turned to Rudolf, then to Ivan and then to Naito. "You have heard our reactions Mi'lady... we wish to help you to prove ourselves. Rudolf is right....we do not need to talk about it between ourselves. The choice has been made. If we must, we can leave immediately."
"Immediately would be nice..." Nimue said with a nod.
Endless smiled back gently at Rudolf and then stretched, standing up on all fours.
"I should probably be heading off since you guys are about to leave anyways. It was a nice night Rudolf. When you get back, we," She gestured to Blair and then herself "should be back when you all return from this extravagant quest." She spoke softly to Rudolf so as not to disrupt the conversation going on right at this moment. She rubbed her head against his and gave his nose a quick lick before turning and making her way towards the door.
Blair noticed Endless moving away from Rudolf and Endless gave her look that said they should call it a night and return later. Blair nodded and turned to Garaden, nuzzling her nose against his.
"Enjoy your quest Garaden. I'll be here when you get back and I want to hear all about it." She gave him a quick lick and joined Endless as the two left, wagging their tails and large pleased smiles permanently etched onto their faces. They would be back soon after getting a little rest.

Ammy shook her head at Kai. Their quest wasn't bothering her, it was something else. She watched as Endless and Blair got ready to go and jumped up. She barked to them telling them she would join them. She ran to catch up with them.
Ger watched as Tilly grew bored. He smiled at her playing with a ribbon.
Rudolf blushed at Endless' lick. "You see soon." He whispered back to her then raised his voice, "Go we shall now?" He stood and stretched. He then walked towards the door ready to go.

Naito eventually went to the door waiting for the others as well. He really wanted to do a good job for Nimue mainly, because he wanted to see her happy more than the treasure.

Ivan nodded slowly as Nimue answered his questions. When she answered his third, he studied her a moment longer. Satisfied that she was being truthful, that she wasn't a nut or yanking them around, he nodded a final time and sat back. Then he heard the short exchange between Garaden and Atreyu, his eyes flashed between the two. 'Garaden?' He took a deep breath before he could ask Atreyu what the heck he was thinking. Despite how he felt, Garaden wasn't a puppy anymore. It was obvious with how he and Blair had been acting together. A soft smile covered Ivan's maw. The kid was grown... he could make his own choices. He shook his head and turned back to the knights and stood. "Ready when you are."
Garaden returned Blair's nuzzle. "We'll be back before you know it, but it still won't be soon enough for me." He smiled, watching her walk away wagging her tail. Sighing contently, he went to stand next to Ivan, nodding to everyone who remained to show that he too was ready.
Tilly's head popped out from under the table. They were going to do something! With a yip she grabbed the ribbon in her mouth and ran back to the group. She stood next to Ger watching the others in anticipation, tail wagging and head tilted.

"See you later then Ammy." Kai said to her, watching her leave. He noticed everyone else getting ready to leave and he sighed. "Eh, I guess it's time to head out huh? Yipee." He said sarcastically as he moved across the room and followed Nimue out as she left.
Atreyu turned and rubbed his head against Dagger, who had remained in the room.
"We'll be back." He said softly to him. He turned back to the group and laughed at the look on Ivan's face. Hm... he only hoped Garaden was able to prove himself not only to Atreyu but to Ivan as well. This was going to be interesting he thought to himself as he pushed the door open and stepped out into the hall. He held the door open for everyone and then nodded. "Alright then knights, let's head out!"
Dagger walked over to Ger and sat down next to him.
"Well, this is going to be interesting." He looked down at Tilly and patted her on the head with his paw gently. "She looks excited doesn't she?"
Nimue sighed when Ivan turned his attention from her. She must have answered him the way he wanted and she relaxed at once. Turning, she bent her head and let the hood of her cloak slid back in place over her head as she stepped quietly and quickly out of the sitting room and began to walk off towards the stairs.

Rudolf followed everyone out ready for the mission. He thought of the handkerchief that Endless gave him and it made him feel braver.
Ger put a paw on Tilly's head. "We're not going with them." He said turning to Dagger, "She is. She must think that we're going too."
Rudolf to the back porch, Ammy- Starr's room, Ger- stay.

Naito left and followed the others. "Great. I really need to quit daydreaming and get with it." He then left out the door.

Ivan laughed at Kai. "Come on. Maybe these cats with be greatful when you save them and won't be mean to you." He cast a glance back at Tilly and shook his head. Nodding to Ger, then to Dagger, he headed out the door.
Garaden smiled nervously. His first quest as knight-in-training! It took some control to keep from darting out of the room.
Tilly squeaked as Ger stopped her from running after the knights. Huffing at him, she took her ribbon and trotted over to the window, half climbing and half falling onto the sill. She sniffed at the small crack that was letting fresh air flow in after the stuffy dance and settled down to gnaw on the ribbon.

Dagger laughed.
"I think she would make a wonderful knight actually." Dagger shook his head and he watched her move towards the window. Shaking his head, he turned back to Ger. "Anyways, the knights will probably be gone for awhile and they ate all the food. Man, I was going to pig out when they left but I guess that won't happen."
Slipping into the room and dressed in all black, he kept his black wings pressed tightly against his back and looked around for his target. Bloody hell, he thought to himself as he noticed the sun goddess wasn't in the room as his 'employer' had pointed out. About to give up, he noticed a young puppy sitting in the on the window sill and he smirked. She would definitely work a lot more then any goddess. Using his ability of shadow, he concealed himself fairly well and made his way towards her; hoping that some sort of distraction would occur.
