Good evening, everyone. First off, my name is JJ Neufmois, but you may call me Nine or Jeffrey (if my real name is a must). I am 22 years old and to be honest, I have yet to read any steampunk-related literature such as The Time Machine by H.G. Wells. The first time I was ever introduced to the genre was when I have watched both the 1960s and 2002 remake of The Time Machine, as well as the anime, Steam Boy. The sole reason for my love of the sub-genre had to have been curiosity; one being is to how the clockwork of fictitious machines such as airships were assembled and their awe-inspiring appearances when peeling back their casings. Overall, I've come to this guild in hopes that my future concept art (namely on furnishings, fashion, etc. ) strictly under the theme will be appreciated, and taking the time to know everyone else here. Their development are still underway and coming soon. ^_Q

Greetings all - my name is Elyse (however you feel like pronouncing it) and I was under the previous impression that I was merely scattered in my tastes, what with my diversive affinity for both the victorian theme and that of the industrial.
My choices in literature, in films, in clothing, and the ways I keep my hands busy, didn't develop a cohesive element until I stumbled across some vague and now-forgotten mention of something that held such an intriguing familiarity for me.
Steampunk - it was love at first sight, and the affair still burns strong (is it obvious?). It was my first sensation of a perfect fit, and now with you happy folk there is the added sense of community. I'm overjoyed to have found this guild.

Greetings all, you can call me Roux if you'd like. I've been on gaia for a while now and have recently needed a place to escape the forums; so I have been searching for friendly guilds to serve as such escape.
I suppose in some ways I have always been interested in steampunk I just didn't know it had a name. Even when I was a child I would imagine worlds that I can now easily describe in one word and so I fell in love with this subculture quickly. I marvel at all the things it has birthed from bands to books and art. It's truly inspiring.
Besides steampunk I have a strong interest in fantasy and sci-fi of all kinds. I'm a Doctor Who nut and frequently use the work geek to describe myself. I work in a library at my university and thus spend a good amount of time sneezing. I am currently writing a novel which I hope to one day publish and I abhor olives. I am also afraid of giant squid which I blame on the 20,000 leagues ride they used to have in Disney World.
I suppose that's all that anyone really needs to know about me. It was nice to meet you all.

Hello, I'm Micajah (Cage for short). I'm relatively new to Steampunk, but I'm interested in learning much more about it. I've always liked the Steampunk style of dress, and was recently introduced to Steampunk as a whole through anime.
