He smiled as she answered and tried his best not to notice her legs.
"We got off on the wrong foot before"
His voice was just as soft and calming as when he had spoken her name. He wanted her to feel comfortable.
"You've been through a lot"
How much she had been through, he could only phanthom. From the little Raven and Arioch had said about Raven's home though, it was both a suprise that Zaro was still alife and that she had any spirit left.
"I'm sorry for coming onto you like I did"
He spoke as he moved towards the coffee perculator and started making coffee.

She listened to his voice and found it to be nice. She offered up a small smile. She fidgeted with the hem of her dress a little. Leftover nerves.
"It seems we have a lot to learn about each other, sir."

He agreed, not taking his focus off what he was doing.
"Have you ever been with child?"
He asked, almost out of the blue. For him, it was important to know if his potential lay could get pregnant in order to prevent it, he had no intentions of having what happened to Raven happen to anyone again after all.

She blinked at him. Being asked if she had ever been pregnant wasn't an everyday thing...then again she wasn't the only one her previous master had slept with either.
"No..." A straight answer.

She'd never been pregnant before. She always thought her previous master was either smart about his relationship with her or she was barren from ever having a child.

He smiled, then offered her a cup of black coffee.
"Help yourself to milk and sugar"
Once he had his own cup in his hand and had taken the first sip, he spoke again.
"Got any questions you want answered?"
He had no idea how to handle her, thus played it as a mix of someone he was going to seduce and his cleaning lady on her first day

She shook her head.
"If there is any I'll ask..."
She actually went to the fridge and opened it, discovering the container of juice there and pulled that out. She went to retrieve a glass where she poured herself a glass. She even put the juice container back in the fridge.

He smirked slightly. Her manner made him think that the questions she'd ask would be those he'd avoid answering. He also noted that she didn't like coffee, not really a suprise as it was an aquired taste, and yet, it had come as a suprise.
"I've never seen a bird like yourself, is it a common species in Melnibone(sp?) ?"
He asked, still speaking softly and doing what he could to make her comfortable.

"I'm a quetzal and there are many species in Melnibone...or were from what I hear."
She sipped at her juice.
"I'm just one of the many birds."

He looked at her quizzical as she mentioned the species. There was no way he'd be able to pronounce it, though the quizzical look turrned into one of amusement. It seemed people from that place had a habit of not giving straight answers.
"Birds are generally common, your species though?"
He hinted at wanting clarification of it without demanding it as such.

"It's common enough if you're in the right areas. It's common in tropical areas."

He hadn't realised that Melnibone had tropical areas, but hid the revelation of that by having more of his coffee.
"So you lived in a tropical area?"

"Melnibone was a huge island that was fairly warm in the summer...Plus alot of foliage was perfect for many species, including the quetzal."
She finished her juice and proceeded to rinse the cup.
"So you are an incubus? What is that might I ask?"

He enjoyed listening to her speak. Raven had been extreemly quiet about her homelands and he had never bothered finding out more, knowing she was mad at Arioch for its destruction and not wanting ot deal with her wrath more than he had to.
"You might"
He responded to her question, amused by it. Her not knowing would explain her question of if she should be afraid earlier. He shrugged.
"A sex demon. We feed on lust"
