Garret Erikson Garret shook his head. "Lets just go, shall we?" He asked as he headed for the minefield. Erica chuckled, "Yeah yeah, we're going."

Ora walked with the others to the diner down the street. The owner was an older italian super who specialized in enhanced senses, and with enhanced senses came a true taste for good food.

Arch and the Seer drove into Union City through one of the holes in the walls. The bus was cloaked to appear like a normal truck, and drove along the roads, where Arch and the Seer were looking for Ora. /Check that restraunt/ The Seer called out. "Theah aihnt noh restrauhwnt ahnehweah neah 'uhs." Arch called back. /Didn't say it was near. Lookin fer an Italian one./

Ora took a seat in the corner booth. The red vinyl on the cushions was wearing through a little, but it was nice and clean. "Personaly I like the linguine, but the ravioli's good too." She sat back in her seat, glancing out the window for a moment with a glazed look in her eyes.

Arch parked the bus outside the restraunt, paying no attention to the valet. He walked inside, his wings folded up, to give him a more natural look. He had also dressed himself nicely, and, somehow, through sheer force of will and perseverance, convinced the Seer to dress in a Tux. /No he didn't/ The Seer is instead dressed in a tucked-in black shirt and black slacks. They both walk in, the Seer keeping his head a bit down, to avoid too many looks, and, at the Seer's motion, they both walk calmly over to Ora's Booth, sitting oposite of her.
"Mah deah gahwd'dauhgtah." Arch said with a smile. "Didnah thihnk thaht'd meahn yeh'd beh playihn iht."

She hid any surprise behind a half amused smirk. "Arch, and to what do I owe the pleasure? Surely this isn't some social call."

/Define social/ The Seer grumbled, still moderately unhappy about being dragged along.
"Yehr 'bahwt raihgt theah. Ah wahnt waht yeh toohk frohm Ruby bahck." Arch glanced up, seeing the waiter, and quickly ordered a bottle of wine and a quick appetizer. "Yehr fohlks, 'ahweveh theah dihd iht, mahnahgehd tah steahl sohme ohf 'ehr boohk. Ah wahnt iht bahck."

Ora tapped her fingers gently against the table. "You want me to give it back?" Her mind was working quickly as she evaluated the situation. But there was a small tick in her small finger, which she always got when she didn't have an immediate answer, or she felt the situation was out of her control. "And what do you plan on giving in exchange?" She grinned, "or should I just kill you right here and now, and be done with this war?"

"Ahn 'eah ah wehre, thihnkihn ahwr relatiohnshihp'd beh 'nough." Arch took the glass from the waiter, glancing over at the Seer, who nodded, affirming it to be unpoisoned, and took a drink. /They are lying about the label, however. It was brewed 20 years after what the label says/
Arch looked at Ora again. "Weh bohth knohw thaht ahnehthihn yeh'd ahsk fehr'd beh uhnreasohnable, soh ahm mahkihn yeh a deahl. Ora's finger twitched even faster. "Fire power or not, if I die, you don't get the book. The game is still in my hand if you want the book returned in one piece." She smiled, "what I want is for you to call off your attacks on the AoS for good. But most importantly, I want my mother dead, and you can offer that. She trusts you, and it would only take a small slip from one of those shiny blades." Oralia nodded, "bring me the head of my mother, and I'll return the book."

He knew what he had to do to get what he needed. "Ahwl cohntahckt yeh whehn ahv'e gahwht iht." The appetizer arrived, and Arch shrugged, motioning for the Seer to stand up. ((so where is Erica, exactly?))

((Erica is in the minefield right now, semi-injured.))
Ora grinned, a green moth generating on her hand. "No need, I'll know when you've done it." The moth flew over, and teasingly fluttered close to the ridge of Arch's sunglasses before finding a perch on his shoulder.

"Faihne. Buht iffhn' yeh betraih meh, theh praihze yehr 'ohldihn o'ehr meh'll meahn dihck." Arch left the restraunt, the Seer behind him, climbing into the bus.
/You could have handled that much better. Violence would have been a good path to take./

Ora's waiter went off-shift, and A.C. the waitress took his place. Going around the tables with a friendly smile, she reintroduced herself as their host and asked how their meal was so far, refilling drinks and so on. By the time she got to Ora's table, she was so relaxed into her role that her glamour didn't even activate itself. Besides, she half wanted to be seen.
"Good afternoon, Miss. I'm Sarah, and I'm taking all Jimmy's tables for the rest of the night. How is everything so far? Is there anything I can get you?" All said with the friendly smile of a waitress getting paid to do it.
