"Aphi? Alright! You are now Aphi!" Tyson laughed as he looked about, perking up once the kissing booths were mentioned,"Oh! I went there! Chloe, a lady with pink hair let me kiss her!"
"Oh? That's news to me Tyson..." Lillian responded as an eyebrow arched while the other lowered. A trick she could do to show her younger brother that she wasn't to happy, "When were you going to tell me you went to one of those?"
Tyson smiled innocently up at his sister,"I..I was..well..." He looked about quickly and suddenly started to nod furiously listening more to Aphi,"He was one! The blue superhero Raevan guy? He's cool! Then there was this villian with a tail, and horns, and pointy ears! Oh yeah! There was one more superhero! He was red and I think he was the leader of the squad! Riv...Riven..Rivener! That was his name!" Tyson told his new found friend. Trying to get enough words out to stop his older sister from asking anymore questions concerning the kissing booths.
Lillian only sighed as she listened to his quick words,"So you got into even more trouble when I wasn't here? Oh Tyson...what am I to do with you?" She asked him with a moan of defeat. That brother of hers was always getting himself into trouble and it was getting harder and harder for her to get him out of it.

"Thank you." Zeph smiled and took out some money before exchanging it with the food. It looked delicious, and his stomach agreed with a loud growl. Zephrnyx's face reddened in embarrassment, and he glanced up at the sky. He then looked back at the half-humanlike creature, and paused before asking politely- "So... how do you eat?"

Were his eyes deluding him? Ravi thought he had seen someone by the booth he'd just walked to, but now that he was here, there was no one to be found. He blinked, hard, figuring that it would clear his vision, but nothing changed. The pink streamers were still swaying in the February air, and half-bodied creatures continued to make their rounds near the lab. Maybe the young man he'd seen had done nothing more than make a swifty departure. After all, Ravi was new to the lab, and he assumed that its employees weren't. Perhaps they knew its ins and outs in a way Ravi wouldn't.
As he was turning away, a freezing sensation brushed across Ravi's lips and the warlock jumped. What... was that? He reached up to his mouth and then pulled his hand away, startled to find there a melting snowflake. Was it really that cold? He glanced up to the sky, and indeed, small shapes not unlike the one that was now a drop a liquid in his hand were making their descent to the earth. Snow. Ravi hadn't really had a lot of experience with the element, but now that it was drifting around him, the white stuff hardly seemed strange. It wasn't even that cold. He was embarrassed that he'd been surprised by a snowflake, but felt secure that he was pretty much alone in the area he'd walked over to. No one had seen him commit yet another humiliating deed. Right? Right.
Ravi turned back to the main path, his feet propelling him back towards the festival's more crowded areas. We`rika and Chloe weren't hard to pinpoint - their hair was far too unusual and, for lack of a more polite term, poignant not to notice - but the scholar was hesitant to pursue the two again. It was rude to be a third wheel, and even without etiquette, Ravi had no desire to be a third wheel. Given a choice between Chinese water torture and the company of a couple, the former sounded pretty damn appetizing.
Call it survival instinct at its basest - Ravi veered away from the two. The booths he passed failed to capture his interest, though. He'd already gotten some food and drink. He had no use for flowers. Was it already time for the magician to make his exit? He clutched his bag. Well, he did have a soul to capture...
On his way out, one last area caught his eye. "LUCKY PAN!" a sign read, and next to it were listed a series of prizes. The names listed were small, so Ravi had to bend over and squint to read them. He made connections with none of them save for one - "Roux." Were the names listed those of Raevans, then? In that case, what sort of prize did a person win from rolling the dice (resting in a dish right next to the curved rolling board)?
Ravi wasn't sure, but now that he was no longer isolated, he felt it'd be rude for him to merely stand up and leave. His hands reached down for the dice, and giving them a gentle shake, he released them into the rolling board.

Eiry watched his big brother as he floated about and tended to customers and in the meanwhile, Eiry kissed each of the flowers and giggled delightedly to himself. They would seem to get happier around him, as if they had a connection. He spent his time watering the plants and hiding in and out of them. He stayed always near to his brother and kept obediantly silent.
Once, while theyere talking, Isi came over and they had a short pleasant conversation. The boy was checking up on the young frei and pushed a plushie into his arms. Eiry had looked at it, tilted his head in confusion, and then his face brightened with delight. With one quick motion he hugged it close to him and giggled to himself.
"There you go, lit'lun," Isi said, ruffling Eiry's hair. His grey eyes were happy when he saw his newborn raevan so delighted. It warmed Isi's chest and made him feel proud. Seeing Eirdirsceol's smile made Isi's own muscles twitch and pull relentlessly at the sides of his mouth until he had a happy grin of his own.
"Thanku, Uncle Isi! Thank you!" Eiry piped happily. Hugging the doll. It was shaped and it looked like Lazarus! The first raevan to have helped him after he was born. Eiry really liked Lazarus and respected him a lot for helping him and comforting him when he was scared. Just because of that and his brother Rivener, Eiry wanted to try and not be scared. Hugging it, Eiry finally waved goodbye to Isi who decided to get something to drink and rest his weary legs. Then the wispy minty raevan turned back to tending the flowers who seemed to yearn for him with a Lazarus doll in his arms.

Renhei had no sooner stepped out of the lab with Nue than he saw the festivities going on just outside. The dream raevan floated a little higher than average human height, his ears perking up and twitching some.
"Ah! Other raevans!" Renhei pointed. "It must be a party!" Nue had no chance of protest, but he seemed absolutely fine with going, because he floated a bit faster towards the event than Renhei could run. Renhei, being a kid and always being hungry, veered towards the refreshment booth first, stopping just short to look around. Nue had gone towards the 'Lucky Pan' booth first, but the second he noticed Renhei shoot off another direction, he turned and floated up behind him and grabbed onto his jacket so they didn't get separated.
Renhei blinked, smiling a bit.

Aphismet blushed brightly at the boy's mention of kissing Chloe.
When Tyson changed the subject, trying to escape his sister's questions, Aph breathed a sigh of relief. The thought of kissing Chloe had been trying to push itself to the forefront of his brain, and he was having a hard time pushing it back down... Now, however, something in the boy's conversation caught Aph's interest and effectively dragged his thoughts away from the embarrassing Chloe kiss.
"Oh, you met Rivener? Hahah, and you think he's the squad leader?" Aph laughed. "Rivener is my Raevan, he lives with me. It's my job to make sure he's okay." The man turned his eyes to the lady and added, "I'm sure Tyson didn't get into much trouble, he's curious; it's normal for a child." He grinned at the pair.
Rivener pocketed the money from his client, and smiled at the other's rumbling stomach. Good thing he didn't do that himself. At the question about how he eats, Rivener smiled. He enjoyed questions about himself. "Actually, I don't eat. Raevans absorb nourishment from their essence... In my case, I absorb energy from being outside in the night." He pointed over to the other two Raevans in his booth. "Vyn absorbs from shadows, and my little brother Eiry absorbs..."
Rivener had turned and looked at Eiry, and spotted instantly the plush in his arms. That was... that was Lazarus's plush! That was the one Rivener had wanted! Frowning, Rivener suddenly forgot about the other man's question. He just stared at his brother and crossed his arms petulantly. "...not fair," he muttered.

As the weather chilled a little, Graficcha snuggled deeper into her black blanket on the roof af the Lab, and took a sip from her flask of warm chocolate milk. She'd almost snoozed off, watching the crowd beneath, busily chattering, throwing dice and trying to keep up the image they wanted to be.
With a warm smile, Graf watched them all, the happy moments and the terribly awkward ones, like just now, when that young boy had 'talked' to Rivener. Boy, had that been annoying.... Or before, when someone had dared to take alucky jank at doctor Kyoupiruchi's tail, not too long after he and Lazarus came to join the festivities. Somehow, the 'stalker' guessed she herself was more angry about it than the dear doctor himself.
Well, thangs had been moving about, people meeting and parting their ways, kisses being axchanged, frosty and new and full of chaleur, all those little touches, and glances and questions and answers... Graficcha thought of going down, so she could hear more of what was being said exactly, but that might be alittle too risky. Besides, she was pretty cosy up here....
When suddenly, the Lab's sliding doors opened up a few metres under her spot, and the new Raevan-owner, the silvery Renhei, came out, and behold! the young Baku Frei was with her, that was when sneaky little Graf perked up and almost tumbled over the ledge of the roof to see better.
Oh my.. he's so pretty.... Ya, she could see exactly what he was, the dream essence shone clearly through in his appearance. The sleeves, like paint flowing through the air, his rich, warm blue colours, the ruffled mane... She could see his lovely furry ears twitch a little, he seemed to be curious. Ha, who wouldn't be in his place... The little spy couldn't suppress a warm smile directed at the young being. Nue looked quite eager, but just a little too uncomfortable to abandon his guardian just like that. Graf wondered how he'd take to crowds. ... Wow, just... wow...
Yep, her full brain capacity had been reserved for the two of them for the next few moments. Although she did wonder how long this buzzing event could still go on. She hoped it wouldn't last till the late, or even early hours... Things might get out of hand, and she was kinda getting tired from diverting her attention over all these people and Raevans.

Lilli watched Aphismet, making a mental note of the blush once she saw it creep across his face.'Okay Lil...he likes someone else! Don't develop anything for him except friendship! Stay on the course of friendship! You don't have time to develop a crush! Oh...but he's so cute...No! Focus!' Her thoughts cried, shaking herself back into reality to hear her brother start chatting away. Wait...Aphismet was that rude raevan's caretaker? No way! How could such a sweet man take care of such a rude thing? Well...she could only hope that maybe Rivener would learn some manners with time...
Tyson's facial features grew larger as his happiness turned into bewilderment. The little boy took in a deep breath before he began, he needed the oxygen to keep up with his babbles.
"Really!? He's yours Aphi?! What's it like? Wow! You're so, so, so lucky! I wish I had a superhero..I mean Raevan!" Tyson quickly corrected himself in his last phrase. He'd try to call them raevans....but it would be difficult for he knew they were really superheroes in disguise.
Tyson continued to talk with the Aphismet while he grew more and more excited. Aphi must have lived a very adventurous and exciting life if he was taking care of such a cool guy. Tyson wanted to know all about it! That Rivener was awesome, even if he didn't seem too nice on their first meeting."I don't know if he likes me very much but I want to become his friend! It must be so much fun to have a super-- wait! I mean, raevan as your friend!" Tyson cried, waving his arms about like he was about to fly off like a bird.
Lillian laughed at Aphi and his grin. This man really was amazing if he could put up with Tyson like this. Over Tysons babbling, Lillian decided to cut in to reply to Aphismet."True, If you ask me children are made out of curiousity...with a bit of sugar and spice mixed in. You know...maybe you could convince those three that he is only a curious scamp for me. If you know them, than it'll be easier for you to talk to them. I'd appreciate it if you ever thought of doing that." Lillain smiled at Aphi, not looking forward to speaking to that devil man and that Rivener. She didn't know who this Roux was, but if he was the easiest to get mad she probably didn't want to talk with him either. "Ah! But I'm merely joking, I'll handle it. I won't let you risk your bum in apologizing for us." Lil quickly stated after making her request. Tyson was under her care and she would handle the messes he got into on her own. No way would she drag this guy into doing clean up work for her.
"Hey! Lillian! I was talking to him! Dont barge in!" Tyson cried looking up at his sister who had just spoken over him. How rude of her! Interrupting him while he was clearly talking to Aphi first. "Now I have to start all over again!"

Chloe gave a little sigh of happiness as the girl ran off with her prize. So many happy faces! It made her feel very good to be able to give out the prizes, and she hoped Aphismet would get to see the smiles that he'd helped to bring as well.
She'd have to think of a creative way to thank him.. maybe she could cook something? No.. she wasn't nearly as good of a cook as he was, she'd just be embarassed if it ended up tasting horrible or looking bad. She couldn't really sew.. which was why she'd asked Aphismet to make the plushies in the first place.
What could she...
She blinked, flushing as she looked up at We`rika. "O-Oh... s-sorry.. I w-was.. uhm.. thinking." She gave an embarassed smile and continued toward the refreshments, stopping at the counter.
Roux seemed to.. flourish as the snow gradually began falling faster, in large, thick white fluffs. He spread his wings a little, almost like a bird sunning itself, and floated in boredom at his booth.
He had to remind himself to never agree to something like this again. The work had not been worth it at ALL.. he had half a mind to just leave the booth once and for all and wander back over toward Rivener, but that damn new Frei.. Eiry.. was still nearby.
Roux gave a particularily loud sigh of boredom, one that would surely attract some sort of attention and pity... or at least he hoped.

Oy... Well, somehow Roux had managed to attract some kind of pity. All the while, Graf had been watching him every now and then, and she kept wondering what she could do, what anyone could do to cheer him up a little. There must be a way to just let him be his own vain, egocentric self without that meaning that others were neglected or harmed. That, and that he may just enjoy life and being here.
When it began snowing, he looked like he was living up a little, but this just wasn't his place, it seemed.
I wonder what'd happen if anyone threw a snowball at him. Just a nice, fluffy one.
The though alone made her meep out loud, it just came before she could stop it. She hoped he hadn't heard it. He's just so... unpredictable. Even after quite a long time of observation, Graf just couldn't quite figure him out.

Aphismet laughed at the little boy's ranting. He was so enthusiastic! Even though the kid seemed to have completely the wrong idea about Aphi and Riv, and he seemed to think the Raevans were superheroes (which wasn't far from the truth, Aph suddenly realized, given their powers), the child was still pleasantly refreshing company.
The girl had spoken, and Aph smiled at her cheerfully. "I'm sure whoever got mad, was only stressed out from the event. I can surely speak to Rivener for you, he can be cranky sometimes, but he probably didn't mean to snap. He doesn't like girls very much and tends to get aggressive around them," he added, running a hand through his hair. "I'm not quite sure why."
Aph crouched to be eye-level with the tyke. "And as for you," he said with a playful smirk, "I'm sure we will see you around, and Rivener will be nicer next time, I promise."
Rivener was annoyed at his brother. How dare he win the thing Riv had wanted?! Grr. Frowning, the Raevan turned back to his customer. "Sorry," he said. "It was rude of me to just stop speaking like that. Can I help you with anything else?"
The snow was starting to fall more and more, and the cold was getting to Rivener. He needed to get somewhere warmer, soon; otherwise he'd feel weak. With a shudder, he remembered that time at the beach, the cold seawater... With a longing glance, Riv spotted the bonfire. It would be nice there, warm and comfortable...

"He's probably afraid of girl cooties..." Tyson murmured listening to Aphismet tell his sister that Rivener didn't like girls. He understood that fear. Cooties were a dangerous thing that one should be careful when dealing with.
Tyson's smile returned when Aphismet got down to his level, "Okey doke! I hope so!" The child leaned in closer to Aphi, softly whispering,"Do you think he'll take me flying? He said he doesn't like to...but if he did that would be really neat! I always wanted to fly."
As Tyson whispered to the older man his sister just watched the two. A thought crossed her mind that concerned them meeting again. She held back a moment from asking it, but decided to speak out anyways,"Well...if you don't mind me asking...where do you live? You might be on our paper route."
Tyson grinned at the thought of seeing them again,"Yeah! If you're on our paper route we'll see you guys a lot! Than I can see you AND Rivener more!" Tyson cried with added joy, he quaked at the thought of seeing them more. The next time they would meet Aphi even promised that Rivener would be nice! Since the two siblings rarely saw the people they delivered for, it was possible that Aphismet was on their route and they just didn't know it.

Aph smiled sadly at Tyson and replied to his whispered question, in just as low a whisper: "I'm afraid he probably can't, Tyson. He doesn't like to fly, that's true, but even if he did you might be a bit too heavy for him to carry. I'm not sure how strong Rivener is."
Lillian's question caught Aph by surprise, and he stood, scratching the back of his neck. He smiled sheepishly. "I doubt that I am... We don't get the paper where I live; it's way out in the middle of nowhere, near Durem Caves. It's pretty far from even another house, so I would be surprised to hear that you go by there. Sorry..." He petted the boy's head sadly.
"I do work in downtown Durem though, so maybe you'd see me on my way to work. Depends what time of day you do your rounds... But at any rate, Rivener and I come to the park very often, that's one of his favorite places. Maybe we should just pick a day and all go play in the snow together," Aph offered with a friendly smile, although something in the back of his mind was nagging at him and crying out that he was making another date!
