Jay watched Asher with a little astonishment, that was what was bothering him? he understood completely how Asher felt. crawling over, he wrapped his arms around the vampire from behind, kissing the side of his neck in short,chaste,reassuring kisses.
"it's fine, we can't predict when bad things can happen. And things happen out of peoples reach sometimes, i dont want you hurt for my sake and i know..." Jay's grip tightened a bit. "--that i cant protect you either, i hardly know anything about you, how am i supposed to protect you when i'm...only human and cant even protect myself?"

He stiffened. "I, supposedly above humans, can't even keep you safe...I couldn't save my human servant....my first love. She died..."
He still felt guilt over her death. Anita had accepted him. "How..." He didn't finish.

Jay felt utterly defeated, he didn't know how to console Asher on a subject he didn't even know. Instead he moved to sit before Asher, his hands resting lightly on the vampires cheeks.
"but I love you anyway, nothing that happened to me was your fault, but you do protect me, you protect me from being alone and falling in on myself with pain and sadness, I just wish...I could do the same for you...I know when you hide things, but I don't know how to get you to talk about them...I feel rather upset that you've had to harbour all these emotions by yourself, I couldn't protect you"
Jay said, his expression soft but serious, he stroked a hand through Asher's hair and smiled, his fingers daintily brushing against the vampires scars. Asher was beautiful to him.
"you're perfect, just the way you are..I don;t want you to feel bad"

Asher shuddered when his scars were touched. He had always thought they'd destroyed his beauty. After all. He'd been casted from his sire's bed because of them..and because of his Julianna.
He slowly realized he needed not just Jay in his life but Raven, the twins and the underas as well. Neither of them had the aruder that his friend Jean-claude had...and that was just fine to him.

Jay smiled softly, in a sad way when Asher shuddered at his touch. He let a breath out and kissed him lovingly on the lips, breaking it a few moments later.
"you don't need to hate your scars Asher, you're beautiful as you are" he whispered, before kissing him again, his hands burying in Asher's golden sheet of hair.

"That's what Anita said..." He said. Most of the people he'd slept with in the past were forgotten...All except JC, Belle and Anita. So far his favorites of the three were JC and Anita.
He kissed him return.

Jay wrapped his arms around his vampire lover, and snuggled close to him. He didn't like bringing up Asher's past lovers, because it hurt his pride a little but he felt that Asher needed to.
"well...i've gotta get to college and pick up some things..you go ahead to Raven" he said quietly, his noh smile on his face. He hurt alot, and he needed to let it out, he needed to see Koe or Makena. He got up from the bed and handing Ahser Raven's things fled out of the room, out of the apartment and down into the street, where he mounted his bike and drove off. Heading in the direction opposite to his college.

Asher's guilt only heightened as he gathered Raven's things and left, his expressionless mask in place.
He flew to the hospital, moving with the pretenatural speed he was gifted with as a vampire and being the only vampire to have mastered the power of flight for his blood line.
Upon arriving at the hospital, he carried oward as though he were a typical human, walking inside the room and smiling at the sleeping children. He looked to Raven, smiling some. "Your clothing madam."
Raven grinned at him. "You blonde scoundral." She was rewarded a grin and one with a hint of fang, rare to see amongst the master vampires.

Silence
“I know but, I needed to talk to you Koe, please let me in” Jay said, a little pleadingly. He was stood outside a secuded beach house by Barton Coast, staring at the door. It slid open and Jay smiled alittle, hugging his childhood guardian. Koe had put a call in to Nishi, who was heading to the hospital to monitor Asher and Raven. Jay wasin turmoil and they wanted to know why.
“what is is it?”

Nishi appeared in the hospital with his mother, who was helping him carry the gifts of baby things,flowers,chocolates and cards the Merlin family had all sent to them.
“hello darlings, how is our little family?” he asked, walking into the room with a smile, he placed the bouquet of flowers in a vase next to Ravens bed as his mother placed the other gifts in a chair.

Asher smiled and moved to the opposite side of the bed. They had a few trials they all had to get through..but he supposed that would be with time...
Raven smiled even more. "Resting and hoping to get out of here soon."

“well we send our love through gifts and congratulations dear!!” Nishi chirped happily, smiling proudly at Raven as he moved to gaze at his god-children. He chuckled before looking to his mother, who looked caught between a melt-down and a hyper fit. She kept flicking her gaze to Nishi’s cell, which was hung on a cord around his neck. Nishi spotted this and blinked, she was waiting for Koe to call them.
“calm down”
“but..but..”
“mom he’ll be fine” Nishi reassured, straightening up to hand the pile of unopened envelopes containing cards tp Raven. The Merlin’s were a huge family. His cell rang and he dropped the cards, quickly moving to answer it.
“yes?”
”Jay’s left”
“where is he headed?” Nishi asked, a little anxiously. Koe had paused, causing Nishi to check his connection.
”the sanctuary”
silence, Nishi’s face contorted a little, in rage as he held the cell to his ear.
“you let him go back? After what happened the last time?! Jay’s in serious danger now!” he yelled, stopping when he realised Asher and Raven now knew they were discussing Jay. He looked worryingly at the pair before turning his gaze back to his phone.
“get Harlequin and Aiden to track him down and bring him home, he’s most likely in Durem Port” he said, cutting the conversation off. Great, Jay was trying to make Asher feel better by facing his uncle himself. They’d obviously had some sort of tiff or something of the sort that had put Jay in a mood, he tried Jay’s cell but found it off.
“s**t…” he whispered, chewing the cell aerial as he stared hard at the wall, thinking.
Jay was sat in the port, waiting for his boat to board. He chewed his bottom lip in worry, was this really the right thing to do? He had dressed all in black, as a disguise of sorts as he sat in the port waiting area. Donnig a pair of black leather trousers, black rollerblades that could turn into shoes if he popped the wheels back into the thick sole of the shoe and a black hoodie.

"Where's the sanctuary?" This came from a still vampire who was watching Nishi. Nishi couldn't lie to him else Asher would know it and Asher's hearing...well is wonderful with spying and overhearing conversations.
Raven had first thought of how large a family she was suppose to know of when Nishi said something about Jay and she glanced up. Raven was willing to stay put. Afterall, she had Nishi to help her with the twins.
Asher, however, could remind anyone of a coiled up viper about to strike at the slightest movement.

"the south of Gambino Island, but Jay's probably in port still, the cruisers only run a couple of times a day for travellers" Nishi answered now rather calm, though if Jay got into the Glades before they intercepted him, he'd most probably be kept 'inside' again.
"i'd hurry the boat docks and leaves on the hour Asher" he said, glancing up, they had 25 minutes.

Asher didn't have to be told about how much time he had as he was already out the door and taking flight. A fool's mistake as it took energy but he was damned again if he couldn't keep his family safe.
Asher flew to his destination, but he silent followed Jay, should he have to move so soon. Granted he could be seen still by others...
