(((XD)))
Kayako turned Senturi back to it's vehicle form and sped off after him. Hopefully, if they could keep Rain and Gray from crashing into things, they would make it there quickly.
"Hey you two! Make sure you pay attention, we don't need people getting hit! That means you, Gray. We aaall know about your problem with smashing things!"
'Sheesh that escort guy's weird!' her mind wandered 'Acts like a...well..like a drunk! Yeah, that's it...Reminds me of a drunk military man!'

Rain sighed as she turned Eden back into vehicle mode. What was the point in that? she questioned in her head as she sped off after Kayako and Konner.
She kept her eyes opened and scanning for anything that would get in her path. She didn't want to run over someone or something as much as Kayako didn't want to.

Gray looked the other direction as kayako's somewhat irritated face showed up in a comlink window, yelling at him about smashing things; Gray pretended not to hear her. "...Hmpf. I'm going up; I can't stand this ashen wasteland anymore. I'll follow by radar; and keep this channel open for you..." Mercury's metalic head turned to look at Konner before turning back to a nearby cliff. Checking the Wave levels, Gray pulled on the controlls. Mercury sprinted forwards with a heavy tread; it's metal footfalls echoing about the semi-desolate region. In second, the mech vanished off the Cliff. Plunding in free-fall, Mercury fluidly unsheathed it's board and twirled it into place, locking both feet onto it and taking off in a green haze. Casualy REFFing back up and hovering over the cave area, Gray spoke to Kayako through the link. "I can go much faster and see farther up here, anyway. I'll keep in touch..." Twisting about, the LFO ascended, heading for the cloud layer.

Konner sighed as night slowly painted itself across the sky. His head jerked up, a tight frown across his face. Suddenly his hand bounced around his chest and sides, as if looking for something. This continued for some time, until he stopped and sighed.
"Dang it... I didn't even pack a sort of lunch." Blinking a few times he glanced up at the sky, "Or dinner." He half laughed and cried.
"I suddenly wished I had a comm. link with those guys. Driving a motorcycle can be fun for a while... but only a while." His voice was muffled by the rushing wind. Directly out of boredom, he started turning his bike back and forth across the road. It slowed him down slightly, but it gave him something more to do.

Rain looked out the windows of the hatch. She gaped at the beauty and majesty of the sunset. "Oh, wow..." she said, staring at it with wide, curious eyes. She had never, in her memory, seen something quite like it. Not even Aiden's paintings could match the pure wonder and captivation of the real thing. She barely kept her eye on the road, she was so enraptured by it. Yet, somehow she steered Eden along the right path, dodging any road hazards that came along.

'That idiot....he's trying to make me mad on purpose, I know it!' Kayako fumed silently as she watched the little blinking dot that was Mercury fly around on her radar. Gray was annoying, but he was nessecary. Maybe it was because of his history, but he was a weird one...he kept silent far too often.
'Oi, never have I been so glad to have amnesia...' she thought.
She leaned back a bit, bored as dirt. That Konner man was obviously bored as well, since he was constantly swerving, which made them all swerve in order to avoid him. In fact, it was getting very bothersome.
"Geez, how long is this gonna take?"

"I just have to find out if it's really true...I need to know what happened to them...why they left me there to die..." Nic said running trough the streets of an all to well known town. Crumbling buildings and half lit signs everywhere, garbage rolling in the streets. Finally getting to one house that was in terrible shape, paint peeling and the roof patched in many places windows mostly boarded up. Opening the gate and walking on the cracked path way that lead to the front door, Nic took a deep breath and knocked on the door. The door slowly creaked partly open and someone was staring right back at her. When Nic looked back up to meet the eye, the door swung wide open, revealing an old man with a look of shock on his face. "Nicole? It can't be I swore they got you..."the onld man said in confusion "Mr.Sugita...I need to know." "Need to know what Nicole, come in and have a seat..." Nic followed the old man and took a seat on a small wooden chair near the fire place. "You know what I want to know." Nic said camly "I guess it's not worth hiding anymore..."

Mercury hovered on the upper reaches of the cloud-cover, dancing deftly across the waves of trapar and cloud-murk as the sun dipped lower. "....." The radar beeped steadily, showing the location of the cyclist below, along with kayako and Rain. This...was rapidly becoming boring. No change, just following for a small eon, how...interesting.

Rainw as increasingly fascinated with everything she her cerulean* eyes fell upon. She was doing pretty well at multitasking; steering Eden along behind Kayako and Konner while looking at what the effects of the setting sun had on the environment around them.
She began to think about the kids back at the Foundation. They will most likely spend the rest of their lives tied up with the trappings of the military and all the related things. She looked down at her feet, feeling sorry for them. Sure, they ostricized her and teased her most of the time, but she didn't want anything bad happen to them.
She shook the thoughts out of her head. I'm sure they'll be fine, she thought. I don't need to worry about them. She looked up at the pink-hued clouds, wondering how it was that the sun could change the colors of things depending on its position in the sky.

"Okay, this is getting really old, REALLY fast" Kayako's bored voice sounded over the commlink. She had no idea how long they'd been going for, but this was taking waay too long.
"Hey Gray, how's about you sing us a SONG for the road, eh??" she laughed.
Teasing that boy was a hella lot more fun than just steering.

Scene change. Time passed slowly in the world of Joy Division. Mistakes had been made. The experiments continued and the scientists made there little jokes.
At the Novak Foundation no one was laughing. With the loss of the one known as Rain a serious deficiency had been exposed in there security. The child had walked out. Had literally walked out of the main building and disappeared into the world at large.
At his desk the administrator stared out over the lawn of the Foundation's main base. The rain clouds cast everything in darkness. The old man was deeply troubled that Rain could effect everything in such a way.
Standing he turned from the window and looked over the man sitting across from him in his office. The marking of the UF were not present on him but it was clear that he was part of the military.
"Mr. Novak. Sir, I know I can do the job. Training is what I'm good at. My only concern is that.... well to be frank. I don't see the point. Your children may impress the Reps at Joy Division but they don't impress me."
"I can appreciate your concern sargent. Let me assure you that those molded by the Foundation are, in essence, whatever we want them to be." The old man steepled his fingers and watched his company curiously.
"Well, if you want pretty little children then I'd agree." With a smirk he crossed his arms. "However, if what you want are soldiers then I think you picked them just a little too young."
"Our subject," Decard said without a pause,"Will be arriving shortly. Please consider yourself our guest until she can be prepared to me you."
The Sargent started to mouth off and decided against it. The hint of a threat had lay in the Administrators words. It didn't take a mentat to see that guest's could not refuse his hospitality.
"Fine, I'll meet him, but I make no promises until I've seen what can be done." said the man.
Decard smiled,"That is all we can ask at this point. And for the record. This one will not be a boy. It is a girl." He spread his hands and brought them together behind his back. Turning to the window again he watched the Rain come down. "A very special girl. One that I am looking forward to seeing again."

"Clearance requested for landing at Warusawa airbase," the communications officer spoke into the mouthpiece. Several seconds later, a voice resonded. "Clearance granted," it spoke. "Landing permitted."
In her chair, Dusana made a quiet sigh of relief. They had finally made it to their destination. Soon enough, they would have landed and would be on their way to Joy Division to deliver their "cargo" and the money-boy that came along in a package deal. "Call Special Missions Lieutenent Daia to the bridge," she asked of the comms officer.
The officer made the call. "Lieutenent Daia requested to come to bridge," he spoke into the mouthpiece.
When the Bolero landed on the runway and parked, Daia entered the bridge. Dusana got off of the chair and met her. "We've landed," she said. "Time to deliver the girl." They both walked out and headed to Rain's room.

Rain walked along the labrynth of book shelves, trying to track down that shadow. Everytime she believed she was upon it, once she turned the corner, it disappeared.
It was beginning to frustrate. "Stop playing games!" she called out to it. "Who are you?"
She turned another corner and looked around. Spotting the shadow at the end of the row, she jogged to try and catch it. Once again, it disappeared. "Come out already!" Rain called to it.

(((There. Copy-pasted from the UF topic. Now we can continue here!)))
Ryouki hadn't found Daia's mouth, so instead he had thrown the bedsheets down the laundry shoot and taken up standing on the wall near Rain's room just because. He still wanted to punch Daia...but he figured he'd get his moment. Right now he was more concered about the girl.
'Aw damnit, I just remembered...' he hit his hand on his face. Of course, Dusana had sworn she'd make him that girl's 'monkey boy'.....things did not bode well for the young lieutenent, not one bit.

((Dum dum dum... Ich bin BORED!! O__O))
Rain felt as though she had been running around for hours. She had gotten no closer to that shadow than a person any closer to a mirage. Yet, she still kept trying to catch the elusive person behind the shadow. She felt this incredibly strong urge to find out who it belonged to.
She wasn't stopping at the corners anymore after she turned them. She took a direction and headed down it without much after thought. About the sixth or so time she did thus, she found herself in a dead-end. Turning around, her head following after her body, she came a hairpin's length of running into someone.
The two D's walked down the corridor's of the Bolero in silence. The sounds of the ship's engines had lowered to a soft and subtle hum. Turning into the corridor that held Rain's room, Dusana stopped.
Seeing Ryouki, she regarded him. "Time to go, monkey-boy," she said. "Get your personal effects and meet me in the hangar." She and Daia continued past him and entered Rain's room.
