Iri looks at Fenris and quirks an eyebrow. "You, too? I don't see why you're so sorry. Yeah, my feelings are hurt, but I didn't come back from the friggin' grave to find my fiance taken by a stranger. And if you say something about regretting coming back again, I'll sick Sage and his fruity antics on ya! And don't think I'm bluffing!" Iri grins at the end of her lecture. It's obvious that she doesn't have any bad feelings toward Fenris. Even after she's had time to sort through her own feelings, there won't be any ill wishes or tension. She may be hurt, but at the same time she's happy for them both.

Fenirs smiled to Iri and nodded, "It's not everyday you meet someone as kind and forgiving as yourself, Iri. It's just... I hate seeing people hurt, no matter if it is physically or emotionally. And, I thought you would have been a lot more upset."

Wings shrug and Iri's expression sobers a little. "I'm much more upset than what you may think. Reeve was my first boyfriend, and the first guy I've ever taken the time to chase after. There's no way I could be happy right now. But," Iri's expression changes again, this time cheerful but calm. "I'll get over it. Sure I'll be a little mopey for a while, but you'll certainly never notice it. And as long as the two of you are happy together, then there's no regrets. Right?"

"Mmh..." Fenris sighed and shook her head, "He's sad because he did not want to hurt you, Iri... he knows I love him, and that he loves me, but to leave someone hurt because of that..." She stood and walked over to Iri, wrapping her arms around her in a friendly hug.

Iri returns the hug. After a moment she steps back and says, "Then make him happy, Fen. And whatever you do, don't worry about me. I'm sure I'll move on. Who knows? I may even date someone else from the Academy. Moving on is just part of life." She smiles again. Although it's hard to believe, Iri's already starting to feel better. At least this wasn't something that got dragged out. "Now, I'm gonna go make myself useful. I'm sure the people who managed to leave the city would like to know that it's safe to come back."
That said, Iri turns away and starts to head for the distant trees.

Fenris nodded, then made sure someone had taken over for her before she ran off after Reeve. She was smiling though, happy that Iri was not hurt as much as she would have thought. She just hopped Reeve was alright...

Reeve sits alone in the forest, playing his flute. The sound is long and dirgelike.

Fenris appears behind Reeve and slowly kneels, hanging her arms over his shoulders and giving him a sweet kiss on the cheek. "Iri is fine, really, Reeve..." She whispered to him before nuzzling against his cheek.

Reeve stops playing, craning his neck as she nuzzles him.

" I think it's funny how every one of us has cheated death, but it's always life that causes trouble. I could take another field trip t'hell and not be worried- but to tell that to Iri again? -That's scary.-"
