It was now Keegan's turn to smile darkly. "That must have been fun, wasn't it?" he said to Randy as he stood up, and tossed his next Pokeball out. Althena materialzed before him, holding her head in her hands.
Randy frowned, not incredibly familiar with the Psyduck, but knew enough it was a water type. "Take Down!" he bellowed to his Numel, who cocked his head to the side before he started to run forward.
"Althena," Keegan said softly, "Surf attack."
Althena tilted her head ever so slightly. "Psy?" From behind her, a fair-sized tsunami of water was summoned from seemingly nowhere, and it roared and crashed as it slammed down onto the on-rushing Numel.

The water receeded, leaving bits of dirt and grass strewn about in its wake. Numel wasn't in any condition to battle any longer, and Randy recalled it quickly, smiling again as he sent out his next Pokemon. "Let's go, Plusle!" The adorable, cheering Pokemon bounced around on the battlefield eagerly, sparks dancing from its cheeks as it did so.
"Althena! Quickly! Use Psychic!" Keegan yelled, hoping to get in an attack before the electric Pokemon could. Althena's body shimmered with a blue light which engulfed the Plusle, lifting it from the ground a few feet.
"Fight it, Plusle! Use Thunder Wave!" Randy called, his hands balled up into fists. Even though it was suspended in the air, Plusle let loose a weak jolt of electricity that struck Althena, and stopped her attack flat out. Wincing, the Psyduck was forced to sit as the paralysis took effect immediately.

"Use Surf again!" Keegan called, as panic set in. Suddenly he didn't want to see the young Psyduck injured. "You can do it!" he called encouragingly. But Althena couldn't move, her limbs locked up and stiff from the paralysis.
"Thunderbolt!" Randy called, pointing at the disabled Psyduck. The tiny Plusle danced around a bit more before it blasted a massive bolt of electricity at Althena, who shrieked as she was zapped. She opened her eyes, her legs and arms both flailing wildly.
"Come on, Althena! Try a Psychic!" Keegan yelled, crossing his fingers. Once again, Althena could not move, although she tried her hardest.
"Finish that duck with a Spark!" Randy called, and the happy, cheering Plusle ran towards Althena, its body glowing with yellow energy as it tackled Althena with all its might, knocking her back several feet.
"Althena!" Keegan cried, running onto the battlefield and to her side. "I should have recalled you after that first Thunderbolt," he sighed, tears in the corners of his eyes. He wiped them away, and recalled her, and got his next Pokeball ready for action as he went back to his place.

"Go Portabello, go!" Kasiya cheered from her position on the sidelines. Digger waved his claws about too, having calmed down enough to watch the battle. Such power, she thought, replaying the Machamp's four-armed Thunderpunch in her mind. Dad would have been impressed by that, she thought, smiling slightly. I should have visited him while I was home... she sighed, and tried to concentrate on the match. She somehow had a suspicion she'd be battling with Giovanni soon herself. Much sooner than she'd originally anticipated. "And no badge at stake either," she laughed, happy she was able to find a joke about the situation.

"Portabello..." Flannery said to herself, remembering how the fighting grass Pokemon had really laid into her Houndoom. "He's tough, I hope he can take down Machamp," she thought to herself, still clutching her Pokeball tightly. Ground type Pokemon, huh? She shook her head, knowing very well that the Pokemon fighting with Portabello was not a ground type.

Shiva's Aurora Beam struck the rock Pokemon square in the wing, causing it to spiral down and smash to the ground. "Aerodactyl!" Winona cried out, recalling her Pokemon. "That's a pretty tough Sealeo, but the types were still in your favor."
The next Pokemon she called upon was a rather large Fearow. It flew high above the battlefield as Winona commanded a Drill Peck. Spinning around at top speed the bird smashed into Shiva, its beak striking hard.

Shiva let out a cry as the attack struck her and fell down to the ground not getting up this time. Dante frowned slightly as he recalled Shiva into her pokeball. Looking over at Meowth who rested on his shoulder he smirked at the cat like pokemon and motioned for him to go out against the Ferrow.
For once Meowth was eager to battle and jumped off Dante's shoulder and onto the feild. Meowth gave a smirk at Winona and her Ferrow "You know your flying chicken is going to lose right?" He said cockaly.

"You mind your tongue, boy!" Giovanni hissed. Machamp stood up, feeling a bit of his energy draining due to the Leech Seed. It shook his head and then flexed its four arms menacingly. A hint of blood dripped from the foot of Machamp, but the Powerhouse Pokemon didn't seem to notice it too much. Giovanni snapped his fingers and pointed at Breloom. Machamp seemed to know exactly what to do. The Pokemon ran swiftly towards Portabello, its fist glowing with a bright light.

The Machamp sped at Portabello unhindered by the wound on his foot. "Drat. Portabello, use Bulk up!" Taking in a deep breath, the grassy texture on the Breloom's body began to criss-cross, forming tougher 'fur'. The added padding also layered the muscles in his body, increasing his attack power as well. Portabello exhaled sharply, thrusting his clawed hands up to meet whichever fist the Machamp would throw at him. He planted his feet, hoping to stop the bullrushing Pokemon in his tracks.
Come at me you blasted beast.

Winona smirked at the small Pokemon in comparison to her fearsome Fearow. "Little kitty, don't you think you're a bit out of your element?" The flying Pokemon wore a coy expression, obviously not taking Meowth seriously.
"Alright Fearow, let's show how chickens fight, Drill Peck!" Giving one flap of it's magnificent wings, the bird Pokemon took a dive, spinning rapidly.

Meowth growled at Winona clearly insulted and not liking it. "And don't you think that you pokemon is a bit to stupid to be in this battle?" He said as he watched the Ferrow charge at him he activated his Thunderbolt ability and watched as the lightning made a craking sound as it ripped through the air towards the falling Ferrow. Dante sighed, the problem with using Meowth was that he never really instructed the pokemon it alway's battled for itself, which in a way was nice because of the faster reaction time, he could just go with out the coments.

Nina frowned greatly as she watched the battle occuring between Mike and Giovanni. He's ruined it! she thought furiously.
"Ugh! Not a Sandstorm!" Sakura yelled, obviously annoyed. She unleashed another Sunny Day attack, clearing up the sand and brightening the room again. "There! Let's try this again!" Sakura turned her gaze to Anna, and nodded. "Do it!"
The Misdreavus nodded, and fixed its eyes on the Tyrannitar. "So, you like to use Sandstorm, do you?" she asked. "I wouldn't get used to it." Her gaze became menacing as she unleashed a Spite attack, reducing the amount of times that Tyrannitar could use Sandstorm.
Krystal looked toward the Absol as it loosed another Aerial Ace attack. "No!" she cried, attempting to distract it. She opened her mouth and blew out a stream of fire-- it was her Dragon Rage attack. However, her timing was not the best, and the Absol's attack was already headed toward Sakura.
Sakura, distracted by watching Anna using her Spite attack, had no time to attempt to move away from the attack. She was blasted with it head-on, and was sent flying into Nina. She and her trainer were both knocked over, and in the resulting crash, a small Sun Stone fell out of Nina's pocket. (I know that Nina's in a dress, but just humor me and pretend she has pockets. >_> Also, I bought a Sun Stone a long time ago, but it was never added to my page.) The stone tumbled and rolled along the floor as Nina hastily got to her feet. Sakura, a bit dizzy from being attacked and crashing into Nina, was lying on the ground and attempting to regain her composure, and didn't notice the stone. As she stood, Sakura felt something bump against her left foot-- looking downward, she saw the small, orange stone. She blinked, and a moment later, pink and red petals and green leaves swirled around her body like a coccoon. A few moments later, the leafstorm had subsided and dissipated, and in Sakura's place was a Bellossom, with a wide smile.

"It's your turn, Loki! Go!" the boy, forcefully tossing out his Pokeball. It landed, and from it erupted the newly evolved Arbok, throwing his head from side to side and hissing fiercely, his Intimidate ability kicking in and lowering the Plusle's attack power. Slight anger pulsed through him as he pointed at the small electric Pokemon that had defeated Althena. "No holding back! Sludge Bomb!" he commanded.
"Chaarrrbok!" Loki hissed, his long tail flicking back and forth, He drew back his hooded head, and spat glob of thick, toxic sludge at the tiny Plusle. It cried out, taking the attack full on, and wavered on the spot before it collapsed.
"Plusle!" cried Randy, his shoulders drooping as he held out its Pokeball. "Return now," he said, quickly readying another. "It's your turn! Go Gulpin!"

The sudden evolution caught her eye, and Kasiya looked over to see Nina sanding next to an adorable Bellossom. "Come on, Digger!" she said. "Let's give them a hand!" She stood up, the Sandslash right behind her as she ran over to her friend. She took in her friend's new appearance, but didn't say anything. "Nina! We've come to help you!" Taking note of the charging Tyranitar, Kasiya pointed at him, and looked to Digger. "Brick Break!" she commanded. Digger looked a bit nervous, but ran forward, leaping up and striking the large Pokemon three times, in the same manner he'd smashed the door down.

Nina glared as she took a step away from Kasiya, taking in her new appearance as well. "If I needed help," she started, "don't you think that I would have asked from somebody who... oh, I don't know-- isn't a completely pathetic little girl, such as yourself?" She shook her head slightly. "You know, if it wasn't for you and Mike, and that Flannery girl, everything would have gone the way I had planned it. But, no. You three had to interfere and mess everything up for me." She crossed her arms over her chest.
