Arch got to the center of the scene, glancing about the bodies and folk.
"Clair beh thaht bleedin' supah Rubeh? Wehl shiht, thaht gahl juhs gahwn ahn wehnt runnihn ahwt the bahck dahwr a minuht 'goh. Ah were wonderin' waih she were 'eadihn ahwt." Arch said this quiet enough to seem like a random comment to the folk nearby, but loud enough to be heard by anyone of importance.

Melbourn nodded to Carter as they heard Arch's anouncment. Other officers began arriving at the party. Carter made a few signals with his hands and they began to search the area. He and a couple others headed towards the back, and sent one up the stairs to investigate the area.

Ruby St. Claire died three years ago. I was there, I saw it!" He pushed his was through the crowd to confront the PSOs. Melbourn glanced at Bobby, and then turned to Brooks and Carter, "Take this one outside, and let him get some fresh air, he looks upset, and that can't be good for his health." "She's dead! Someone stabbed her through the chest with a piece of rebar." This last was said just as Brooks reached him. Bobby's eyes opened wide, "You! You were the one who killed her!" Melbourn walked close up to Bobby, a disabling gun hidden in the pocket of his jacket. He pressed it against Bobbys ribs, "you will be quiet now, or we'll make you quiet. Do you understand?" Still speaking loudly so the crowd could hear him and said, "Afraid of the truth? You're a fool as well as a liar." He reached out with his mind to the gun in Melbourn's hand, preventing the power from leaving it's battery. [9:5:50] Melbourn tried to shoot him, and when that didn't work. He shook his head and glanced at one of the men at his side. "Pick a random name off the list, and let everyone know we got us a super right here."

Burning Disaster Blitz put on his mask last and waited, tire iron in hand, for a guard stupid enough to try and kick open the door. Brooks kicked open the door, more for the sake that he was looking for a bathroom than for anything super, he paused, blinked at blitz a moment, and cursed.

Things were about to turn to hell. Arch could sense a lot of panic and fear, but there was plenty more anger and faked righteousness going around for him to stay where he was. He quickly pushed past folk, heading up the stairs and going towards Aaron's room.

Blitz recognized the man in front of him and smiled. He had been expecting a normal thug, or perhaps a disgruntled party guest. He charged up his tire iron, and swung for Brook's skull.

Bobby ducked the punch, using just enough speed for it to miss, but not enough to be really noticeable. Unfortunately the officer behind him wasn't so lucky. "Battery, officer? Against an unarmed civilian? Tsk tsk. And with members of the Press present, too." ((I presume that there would be at least one reporter covering Clair Reuben's party)) [9:4:50]

As she turned to the door, she ran right into the officer assigned to search the upstairs area. He held out his gun, "I'll need you to come with me ms. Reubens."

Arch turned the corner, seeing the man with a gun pointed at Ruby. His face contorted as his wings burst through his shirt and jacket. He in front of the man, swinging a blade down on his arm.
