Shizuka Doumeki-San Syaoran paid 7 years of freedom to keep Watanuki alive.. And as for Tomoyo-hime.. I really don't know for sure, but my guess is that she paid her power for dream seeing.
It's possible Tomoyo paid that price to lead them to Nihon. For her, that is quite a high price.

Should be out either this week or next week.. lol. next xxxholic is either the 20th 25th.. can't remember... All I know is that the xxxholic chapter will have the color pages for the begining of volume 13.

the latest xxxHolic chapter is 144.
How do you know when chapters come out? Do they release the volumes in Japan like they do here?

Not quite. Both xxxholic and Tsubasa come out in a weekly magazine. xxxHolic was on a break because they just finished up with volume 12, and tsubasa is trying to catch up. xxxholic was a bit further along...

Ahh, I thought so!
Hm, I think it's better, to read it off a weekly magazine than constantly waiting for a full chunk of storyline in a volume, then be left at a cliffhanger for a few more months XD

They still have like a month break between most volumes... (xxxHOLiC mostly... Just because holic is further along then Tsubasa is..)
Once they come out with all the chapters in the magazine, they make the manga copy of it.. And then the next chapter that comes out will be the first for the next volume and have all the color pages... lol. So even in Japan they have to wait a while after a cliffhanger... for xxxHolic at least.. Tsubasa is being printed much more quickly, and has a lot more story line to it...
It's funny because 2 years go by in xxxHOLiC-verse, but not even a year has gone by in the Tsubasa story line..

LOL you're right, come to think of it...Watanuki's had like, two summer vacations. In Tsubasa they're in a world for a bit then jump on to the next one...the longest they were in a world was Infinity, huh? They were there for a few months, I believe. Kurogane and Fay were in Yasha's clan for a few years before Syaoran and Sakura arrived in Ashura's, though.
Have ya'll read the new chapter! Woot Kurogane has an arm again! But Fay's pretty blue eye...it made me kinda sad. But I'm happy to see him smiling like that again!
I wonder when they'll find Sakura's soul again..

I remember both of Watanuki's birthday parties too.. haha...
As for the new chapter of Tsubasa... I'm glad Kuro got a new arm... And technically, they know where Sakura's soul is.. The problem is placing it back in it's body... But Watanuki is keeping her company while he is in his sleep state... But then Watanuki's worring all his friends with that.. And he's losing his memories now... It is thought that his memories are being left behind in the dream world, where Sakura's soul currently is.. This is so weird how they are connected.. Still trying to figure his connection to Syaoran... Because supposedly they have a deeper connection then Watanuki has to any of the other characters..

4laugh Yes finally the chapter is up...
I'm so happy Kurogane got an arm back but who order the arm Tomoyo-hime or Fay. I know Fay pay the price for the arm but who told Yuuko to do it? any one. sweatdrop

It could be either or both. Princess Tomoyo knows about the Tomoyo, President of Piffle Company, through her dreams, and could've told Fay that Kurogane didn't have to live on completely armless...of course Fay would pay for it, Kurogane paid his own price to save Fay, and Fay wouldn't have let himself live without somehow paying Kurogane back for that.
I really wish they could update Holic soon. I got very pulled into it and I'm extremely curious about the importance of his connection to Syaoran...
