((hehe totally. Oh yeah and my dad unhooked the computer yesterday evening to put in the floor so today here I am and I can actually reply and post. blaugh ))
Silverspeck walked into the gathering clearing and stopped dead in her tracks. Story sat there beside the wall, staring straight into her eyes. Beside him laid a strange object she had never seen before. The others stopped behind her when they saw him. She looked over when she saw movement and saw that WaterClan had arrived and was filing into the clearing, not noticing Story right away. Soon one or two saw him and the object but they weren't as hostile as EarthClan would be. Moonstar started to approach him then stopped and sat, looking over to the Earthclan leader first.

Story sat there watching the cats first from EarthClan, then of WaterClan come through the trees. He didn't move, just watched them with his eyes. He wouldn't say anything either, he would wait until all the clans had arrived before speaking.

frostpaw could tell there was some tension in some of the cats. she wondered what could be bothering the clans during the gathering

Silverspeck stepped forward. "What are you doing here Story?" She asked with a sharp edge to her voice.

frostpaw strains her ears to listen as she hears silverspecks angry voice. she wondered who was troubling her that much and turned to see story.

Story had immediately put on an air of emergency and fright as the cats had started into the clearing.
"It's the two-legs!"He panted, out of breath. "After I left your clan, I went down past the two-leg village. I didn't dare go inside but I did go close enough to see one up close!"
Some of the other cats, especially the younger ones from the clans other than Earthclan, had wide eyes as they imagined seeing a two-leg up close.
"I was about to turn away out of fright but then my eye caught this thing laying in the grass. It was shiny so I went to look and see what it was." He could see some of the cats interested in the object though there was still hostility in the eyes of the leaders and some of the older warriors.
"I don't know what it is but I think it's a tool of the two-legs. As I pawed it to see how heavy it was I felt a p***k in my paw." He held up his wounded foot. "The whole end of it is sharper than our claws. I dragged it back here by the non-sharp side and I don't know what to do. Are the two-legs going to use them against the cats in the forest?"

Silverspeck looked at Story through her narrow eyes. Sure his story sounded plausible, and he did seem genuinely concerned about the two-legs coming against them with these sharp tools, but she suspected he was lying. His eyes darted over to hers and there was a look of triumph in them as some of the other cats came closer to look at the object and ask him questions about his ordeal.

frostpaw stared wide eyed into space as she heard storys flashback. she was unaware of her surroundings but could tell cats near could smell her fear-scent

((I'll answer those questions. Sorry I've been not posting, I come on, get my free stuff, check PMs, and then logoff.))
Story watched some of the braver cats come and examine the object. It certainly looked threatening. He saw the fear in some of their eyes. The two-legs had never come into the forest according to most of the cats he'd chatted with in Earthclan. But there was always a possibility.
"We must be ready to defend ourselves." He said after a while, with a determined voice.

frostpaws eyes widen and she gasps. she wondered what sort of danger was coming

Cats left the gathering in haste, trying to make it back to their clans and start preparing for an attack. Some of the cats tried to stop them and try talking sense into them but even Story could see there was some fear in their eyes. EarthClan was the only holdout. Spottedstar glared at him and told her cats not to listen to him and to head back to the camp. The gathering wouldn't be held the same way as usual. Besides, clouds had started to cover over the moon anyway. Story decided to go with WaterClan, whose leader was wary of him but not completely against him like EarthClan. It started to rain as the cats scurried away to tell the cats back at the camp about the possible attack.
