Cala blinked and mewed. "I just finished fixing your hair!" She sighed then giggled and tried to swim after him but of course, she was not nearly as powerful of a swimmer and had no idea which way he went. Her head turned this way and that, trying to catch a glimpse of him to follow after him.

Love sort of explodes up and out of the water, in the middle of the lake. His hair was all back, and off his face. He laughs and looks happy. "Nothing like a good swim, to keep one's body fit!" He stretches out his wings.

The bengal anthro jumped back surprised when something came bursting out of the water and she laughed. "Looks like you're a better swimmer then I am, Love!" Cala laughed and swam towards him with a smile. "You got over here faster then I could have ever imagined swimming!"

Love laughs and shrugs. "Its the wings... used right, they help a lot at getting around places under water. Effective, they are." He shrugs. "They get in the way sometimes, with other things, but swimming? Yeaaah."

Calanthia giggled and swam behind him, petting his wings softly. "Have you ever flown then?" She was curious as to who could fly or couldn't fly and if they had flown before. Despite having a fear of falling, she still thought the wings to be a pretty aspect.

Love nods at this. "Oh yeah, I fly pretty regularly. It's wonderful. Swimming is a lot like flying, underwater." He shrugs and tilts his head.

Cala looked up at him curiously after she petted his wings for a last time, and gave his feathers a playful tug. She swam infront of him, hugging him and smiled. "If you promise to not drop me, would you take me flying with you someday, Love?"

Love tilts his head, looking at her. "I'd never drop you. And I think... I'd want help. To make sure. Perhaps a carry basket, me and one of my roommates could carry it between us?"

Calanthia looked up at him in horror, her bengal ears pinning back to her hair and immediately pushed backwards, putting distance between them. Her lips pouted and she looked up at him with a sniffle. "I'm not that heavy!"

Love blinks at her. "What? A carry basket is safer, really!" He was hurt at her reaction. "And when in flight, people feel heavier! Trust me, I've carried people before and it hurts by the time I'm done. The carry basket is easier, way less painful, and SAFER."

Cala sulked. "I'm REALLY not all that heavy at all! I don't want you hurt; you could have just told me no." She sighed. "I'm sorry I even asked. At least now I know how you see me when you look at me." The bengal redhead then pulled herself under the water and began to swim towards the bottom. She wanted to try and hide away the fact that she was very self-concious about her body's image.

Love sighs. "You don't GET it!!!!" He yelled, loud enough to be heard under water. "KIDS are heavy, TINY kids! No matter how light they are, GRAVITY makes you heavy in the air!" He begins to swim towards shore. Even Love's patience could be sapped.

The bengal twitched and immediately swam under the water after Love and came up looking rather angry. Her hands went onto her hips.
"Love, do you think that I have not flown before with someone? I KNOW what gravity does to one's body in the air. Especially since I was nearly DROPPED before! I understand that! I only asked because I was flown before by someone and they had no trouble and said I was light enough. And I TRUSTED you enough to not drop me! For you to sit there and call me heavy, needing a basket with another person, instead of just saying 'no I can't' is HURTFUL! I understand the word No fine without being called heavy!"
The bengal anthro came onto the shore and picked up her towel, shaking it off. If nothing else, she was hurt. She just wanted to spend time with Love and it always ended up so badly. Why did it always end badly? She felt frustrated and upset. She really did like him so what was wrong with her?

Love turns and STARES at her. "Did it occur to you that I was trying to guarantee you wouldn't fall? You aren't anything but lovely and thin, but nonetheless, GRAVITY damned well makes it hard sometimes to carry people. I'm NOT the strongest person in the world, in my arms, and I wanted to prevent you from falling! WHY is it I try to help, try to do something to help you, give you what you want AND PROTECT YOU and you get mad for daring to care that you'd be SAFE?"

Cala glanced over at him with tears starting to form in her eyes again. "That is unfair of you Love. I am not mad, and never have been. You just say hurtful things that bother me, and when I try to tell you that you are hurting me, you get mad at me. I feel as though I cannot win. I try my best for you, Love. If you were any other person, I would have already tried to sleep with you and would have never even thought twice of stopping myself. Even when you offered, I still respected you enough to hold myself back. I trust you enough to not drop me to ask to go flying with you."
She sighed and turned her face away. "I've made you upset again. I am sorry but I'm becoming at a loss anymore of how to be around you." She laid out her towel and set it down on the ground, sitting ontop of itas her tail laid limp beside her. "I don't know what more I can do."
