Hiei remained standing by the dining table, much more comfortable this way. He drank his hot drink slowly, savoring it and playing with the heat a little. He saw that Kurama had left him some on the plate, but asking for food was something his pride wasn't exactly level with. So instead he just went for it, setting his mug down and disappearing to grab a utensil to eat the rice meal with. His stomach felt odd, which confused him. Normally he could go days, maybe even weeks with little to no food and be perfectly okay.

He considered jokingly to himself that Kurama's frail human body was rubbing off on him.

"Kas-ai!" Night called in a sing-song voice. Then more seriously, "I believe that our guests are in need of a little exercise and I do think I have a bit of a solution." She nodded solumnly. Then brightened. "We'll play a game! A game that tests courage, valor, and grit! We shall play Hide-and-Go-Seek!"

At the very last sentence, Kasai's dull lips curved into a smirk. That girl was quite ridiculous at time, now wasn't she? However, the demoness might play along—that is, as long as little or no effort was required from her. While pain in her stomach wasn't an issue, she still healed like a human, and that meant the wound could re-open easily.

"Oh? How do you suggest we get them to play, now? There's only one thing they want, at this point, and it's too early for that... I have one thing in mind that they must do first. Tell me how you intend to bribe them."

"If they play, they don't get put into the glass house," Night replied simply.

She had gotton stuck in there before. On the outside it looked like a normal house... but on the inside there was a lot of glass... that was practicaly invisible. Like at a fair, only a lot more complex. She had run into the glass a lot, and by the time she had found her way out, 24 hours had passed, and she had a serious nosebleed.

"If they refuse to play... we could put them in there with... Jacque? Or maybe just flood it..." Night got that look from Kasai. "Or not..."

"Look, I don't really care if they hate you; don't involve me in that. Don't irritate them further, unless you want to end up like me... though you are less of a stubborn b***h than I am." From the rough and strained way her voice sounded, the wound seemed to be bothering her more, but Kasai would never admit that. The psychic was determined to take the pain dealt to her; it was deserved.

The look on her face softened, just for a moment, as she spoke again, "Do as you wish, but refrain from harming them."

Night brightened. "I just had a great idea! How about Hide and Seek in the glass house!" She ran off to tell Carlos and Jacque, and to cook rations, and finaly to tell the guests.

"We're going to play a game!" she declared. She grinned. "This one is for the right to... uh... well, what do you guys want? Other than to be released, I mean..."

Kurama frowned at her presence, though he had seen it coming, and replied, "Aside from that, there is nothing you can please us with. I speak for Hiei, as well, when I say we do not wish to play."

On this, his tone was very final; the sound itself hinted at a threat, though the words told none. They would not be put through another of her ridiculous games, just to be hurt from it... or worse, driven into insanity. Who really knew what Night had planned? The fox could offer her judgement no compliments, so even if she did not intend to harm them, the possibility of it was still an issue.

Pale hands folded beneath his chin, supporting it, as his elbows came to rest on the table, and his crimson hair fell before his darkening eyes.

"I suggest you leave."

Night's eyes widened and she slowly backed away. That fox could be so creepy when he wanted to be. Night squeaked a scared apology and scampered away.

She found Kasai. "Kasai, Foxy want's me dead. You should have seen his eyes! They got all dark and his voice went all... well you'd have to hear it to get how creepy it was. And he just... grr!" Night explained quickly.

"They need to relax. We should do something nice... that they wouldn't mind. Maybe then they'll play a nice relaxing game of chess with me."

Kasai was hardly listening, because she already knew what Night would have to say, essentially. The red-haired beauty obviously hadn't taken well to the suggestion, so she gave the advice: "Leave them alone. Wait until later... and at that point, be more subtle."

Her intention was to guide her away from harm, while still exercising her authority. The woman needed to be in control, no matter what, and that often lead her into trouble.

"Night... do you even know why I brought them here? What I want Kurama and his little friend to realize, I mean?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 12, 2006 3:34 pm

"Uh... to realize how much they like each other? Right?" Night was pretty sure that was the intention, but she couldn't think of a better way to develop feelings for someone than to play with and rely on them. That was how she made friends with Kasai and Carlos. Maybe she was missing something? "Well, maybe I've been doing it wrong. In the romance books, they usually have candlelight dinners and stuff. Is that what we should do?" Night took a shot in the dark. More like shooting at a fish in a lake...

Even the Koorime had stopped eating to catch Kurama's shadowy tone and expression. "Hn," he uttered, either amused or just being sarcastic. But it had scared the brat away. Bringing more rice to his mouth, Hiei cut his eyes to the fox again.

"I always heard stories of the Youko eating children's hearts," he said, letting a bit of playfulness spark in his red eyes. "After that look, I believe them."

((Yikes, that's all I could get out. Sorry about that.))
PostPosted: Tue Dec 12, 2006 6:31 pm

"Well, my eyes can be very expressive," Kurama asserted, turning slightly to meet the fire apparition's gaze, and, as if to demonstrate that point, gave him a look that was purely—there was no other word for it—seductive. "Don't you agree?"

The fox knew that, to Hiei, such a thing meant nothing, and would do little more than get him ridiculed... but, as the Koorime had started the game, the red-head intended to finish and win it, in good humor. And, in any case, his reaction would, no doubt, prove to be priceless.

"I care little about romance books... as you can see, I'm more the type for writing them. Or making a twisted love story come true, to be more exact," Kasai said, smirking to herself.

As for the dinner, though... she couldn't quite decide if it would turn out as planned. Kurama and Hiei weren't exactly predictable, now were they? Things had a very strong chance at being the exact opposite of what the psychic intended. If they did do this dinner, how would the food be made? Hiei would only eat the fox's cooking, so how would they convince him to prepare a meal? Would they have to wait for him to do so, or help him along? So the woman answered that question with, "Do as you may, but keep in mind the Koorime's nature."

Night saluted Kasai. "You can count on me, Sir. Er, Ma'am. Whatever..." She ran off to find...

Jacque.

Yeah, he had his bad points, but he was hella good when it came to plotting. She found him by running into him in a hall. Perfect.

"You aren't supposed to be in the house," she scolded. "But I'll let it go, if you help me." She explained the situation, and her half formed plan.

Jacque stared at her. Help get the fox and mutt together, with a dinner? He sighed. The child was ridiculous but it could probably work. They were obviously pretty comfortable together.

"... Fine. I will help."

Hiei choked, adding the clang of his utensil and plate when his elbow had slipped from the table, making his wrist bang on the edge. He coughed, glaring directly at Kurama for the expression he'd offered and, in turn, for making him choke on something as ridiculous as rice.

"Damned—nymphomaniac—fox!"

Pushing from his seat, Hiei disappeared and the sound of glasses being shuffled through, grabbed and filled with water was heard before he reappeared, glass to his lips and water being sucked down as if he had just returned from the desert. He slammed the object down, bringing his wrist to his mouth and brushing, before narrowing his eyes at Kurama.

"Do that again and I'll cut your pretty hair," he threatened, quite calmly, sitting down.
